“I’m feeling great. I wouldn’t have come back unless all of the doctors and everybody gave me the go-ahead,” said Feehily.
The 43-year-old singer missed out on a number of Westlife’s concerts last year due to health issues and recovering from surgery.
“I just have to take it easy when I’m not on stage and stuff like that because I’m still finding my feet a little bit,” he continued. “As I said, I wouldn’t have came back unless I felt completely ready.

Mark Feehily has recalled his experience while suffering from pneumonia for a month last year.
The Westlife singer was forced to pull out of the band’s live dates on their Wild Dreams tour in November due to the illness.
Westlife is usually made up of Feehilly, Brian McFadden, Shane Filan, Nicky Byrne and Kian Egan.
Now, Feehily has opened up about his emotions while missing out on the gigs, saying he is “very glad” that the illness is behind him.
"It was almost like being back in lockdown because, for the first couple of weeks, I was just in bed all the time,” the 42-year-old singer explained.
"It was an almost out-of-body experience watching the Westlife tour go ahead while I lay in bed.
"It was the first time any of us had missed a stint of gigs in 25 years, and I’m very glad it’s behind me.

The Masked Singer is back, with fans tuning in every Saturday night to try to guess which celebrity is behind each costume.
Comedian Joel Dommett has returned to host proceedings, with 13 mystery stars singing familiar songs on stage, while dressed up in an outfit obscuring their identity.
Guessing along with the in-studio audience and the viewers at home are the judges: Mo Gilligan, Davina McCall, Rita Ora and Jonathan Ross.
One way to help narrow things down is checking out who’s been on the series before – as it seems unlikely they’d return to the show (although not impossible).
So here’s a full list of who appeared on seasons one, two, three and four…
Season one
Winner: Nicola Roberts – Queen Bee
Jason Manford – Hedgehog
Katherine Jenkins – Octopus
CeeLo Green – Monster
Denise van Outen – Fox
Jake Shears – Unicorn
Skin – Duck
Kelis – Daisy
Teddy Sheringham – Tree
Justin Hawkins – Chameleon

When Lance Bass said one of the members of One Direction is probably gay, he might have been referring to the wrong boy band.
Jay McGuiness of that other famous United Kingdom group The Wanted said that out of the five members of his band, "most" would "have a dabble" with another guy.
The "Glad You Came" singers spoke with Australia 2DayFM's "The Kyle and Jackie O Show" on Wednesday when the subject of Bass' comments came up. A host then asked which one of The Wanted is gay.
"I think most of us would probably have a dabble," McGuiness said.
"Speak for yourself," replied bandmate Tom Parker.
Whether or not McGuiness' comment was tongue-in-cheek, Bass is pretty certain that statistics prove at least one in a group of five could be gay.
Bass made his comments shortly after NBA player Jason Collins came out last month.

After fourteen years as one of the greatest pop acts in the world, Irish mega-sellers Westlife have announced that they will be calling it a day following the release of their Greatest Hits collection this Christmas and a no-doubt sell-out farewell tour next year.
The bad formed back in 1998 under manager Simon Cowell, and went on to achieve the impressive feat of having their first seven UK singles debut at number one, before Louis Walsh took over the reigns. Originally a five piece, the line-up became a quartet when Brian McFadden left in 2004 to concentrate on his solo career, leaving Shane Filan, Mark Feehily, Kian Egan and Nicky Byrne
The band released the following statement on their website earlier this evening:
The decision will no doubt break the hearts of Westlife’s legion of fans, but the band insist the split is amicable, so who’s to say that they...

Westlife have announced that they are to part ways next year. The World of Our Own boyband, made up of Nicky Byrne, Kian Egan, Mark Feehily and Shane Filan, said in a statement that they "want to have a well-earned break". They will bow out with a farewell tour in May 2012, playing nine gigs in most major cities in the UK. In a statement, Westlife said: "Today we announce our plan to go our separate ways after a greatest hits collection this Christmas and a farewell tour next year. "The decision is entirely amicable and after spending all of our adult life together so far, we want to have a well-earned break and look at new ventures. In what may be one of the most ridiculous lawsuits in history, a woman is suing because she went to see Drive and it wasn't enough like Fast and the Furious for her tastes. She's suing over deceptive marketing and hopes to take it class action. Frankly, I'd be suing if it was like Fast and the Furious.

Westlife have revealed that they are "confident" about the success of their latest single 'Lighthouse'. The new track is the first single taken from a new Greatest Hits collection from the Irish group, to be released on November 21. 'Lighthouse' is co-written by John Shanks and Take That's Gary Barlow. Westlife's Mark Feehily and Nicky Byrne explained that the group are excited to have worked with "the competition". Actress Saoirse Ronan is among the stars who have been transformed into abuse victims for a new anti-bullying campaign.
The Lovely Bones star can be seen crying in a dramatic photo included in the Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children's (Ispcc) latest awareness drive.
Westlife singer Mark Feehily, who also features in the harrowing shots, came up with the idea for the campaign after he was targeted by bullies in his youth.
He says, "I know first hand how the impact of being bullied as a teenager can quite literally last a lifetime and I thought that if we could involve well-known Ispcc ambassadors perhaps people will think twice about bullying or indeed allowing bullying to happen.
"Everyone involved believes strongly that the message that emanates from each shot is a simple one. Bullying and abuse, whether verbal, physical or emotional, is unacceptable in today's society."
Music mogul Louis Walsh and singers John and Edward Grimes also appear bloodied and bruised in the shots.

‘Hanna’ star Saoirse Ronan among Irish celebrities featured in anti-bullying campaign (IrishCentral)
The Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (Ispcc) launches an anti-bullying awareness campaign highlighting the effect that bullying can have on young peoples’ lives; their self-esteem, their mental health and their sense of belonging. The campaign is the vision of Westlife’s Mark Feehily and a number of well known Ispcc ambassadors (Jedward, Saoirse Ronan, Louis Walsh, Laura Whitmore) along with Mark agreed to support the campaign by being photographed as victims of bullying. Last year the Childline service received around 2,300 calls and messages everyday from young people with almost a quarter of these contacts relating to abuse and welfare, including bullying as well as issues around mental health. Bullying can impact greatly on a young person’s development leading to isolation, loneliness, depression and low self-esteem. In recent years there have been some high profile and tragic cases, highlighting the detrimental and sometimes fatal effect of ongoing bullying and harassment.

Three years ago on St. Patrick's Day we presented ten Irish men we'd love to share a shamrock shake with, and the list (Colin Farrell, Pierce Brosnan, Bono, Jonathan Rhys Myers, Stuart Townsend, Liam Neeson, Aidan Quinn, Cillian Murphy, Daniel-Day Lewis, and Ronan Keating) turned out to be a "Greatest Hits" of irish hotness.
We thought it was time for an update, so we're giving you ten more Irish guys we'd love to go brogue with! Okay, that was terrible, but don't let that stop you from perusing these pots o' gold!
Mark Feehily
On our first list we featured hot Irish boybander Ronan Keating, which was a difficult decision considering there are approximately 1,753 hot Irish boybanders.
For instance, Westlife singer Mark Feehily, who's not only hot and Irish, but openly gay, and engaged to Kevin McDaid, who is also hot, a former boybander, but strangely ... not Irish.

Mark Feehily struggled to recover from the depression he suffered at the height of his fame with Westlife, but insists he's "living proof" why suicide is never the answer. The Irish singer shot to fame with the boy band in 1998 but fell into a downward spiral and became "very unbalanced" after his bandmates teased him about his weight.
He tells Britain's Daily Mail Weekend magazine, "Back then, all I wanted to do was go home for a long, long time. It wasn't all bad, but there were a lot of feelings that started to creep into my mind. I didn't want to be there getting picked apart by everyone. My weight's always fluctuated from chubby to above normal and I didn't like my bad points being pointed out. I didn't think anyone had the right. There was a time I was very unbalanced."

Westlife are secret party animals. The Irish boyband, who are known for their clean-cut image, have admitted they can get away with "leading double lives" because no-one is aware they have such a rebellious streak.
Kian Egan explained, "We can put the drink away, b****y sure we can. Come on, we're Irishmen! We've been at parties where we've got away with murder because everyone assumes we're boring. The paparazzi never hang around for us, so we can almost lead a double life. Mark and I are probably the worst. Simon Cowell is like a "hypnotist". The music mogul never ceases to amaze Westlife, one of the artists he helps look after through their record label, with his ability to quickly persuade them that his ideas are the best course of action for their careers.
