His first leading role in the ABC Movie of the Week What Price Victory (1988), in which
he portrayed an illiterate football player who gets into a good school
based on his athletic abilities, led to Brian being offered the major
role on China Beach (1988).
Was working as a production assistant on the popular film Footloose (1984) when
he landed a small part in the movie and found himself hooked.
Played the lead role for the revamped and syndicated Flipper (1995) series
starring as Dr. Keith Ricks in the show, the son of Brian Kelly's Porter
Ricks character in the original. Brian stayed with the series for only
the first season.
Is the founder and film festival director of "X-Dance" which is in its
6th year. X-Dance, is the action sports-version of Sundance. Brian is
also a friends with Robert Redford.
Was acting school classmates with actor/director George Clooney. Appeared as a
guest star in Season 3 of ER (1994), but was not in any scenes with
Clooney.
