Justin Hartley is heading back to the Super Bowl. Hartley’s new CBS drama “Tracker” has landed the best lead-in imaginable for a series premiere: The show has landed the coveted post-Super Bowl slot next season, launching behind Super Bowl Lviii on Sunday, Feb. 11, 2024.
Hartley, of course, knows a thing or two about that slot. As one of the stars of NBC’s “This Is Us,” he watched a Crock Pot tear his TV family apart in that show’s very special “Super Bowl Sunday” episode, airing right after the big game in 2018.
In premiering “Tracker” after the Super Bowl, CBS continues its return to the once-common practice of using the biggest night on TV to launch a new series. The last time CBS ran the game, in 2021, the network premiered “The Equalizer” behind Super Bowl Lv. (It worked: “The Equalizer” is still on the air.) The time before that,...

Photo: 'Social Distance'/Netflix 2020 has been an especially difficult year for the entire world, due to the unprecedented Covid-19 pandemic and resulting economic downturn. The entertainment industry is one of the industries which have been hit the hardest, with halted productions, postponed releases, and widespread layoffs. In this climate, it has become essential for businesses to evolve and adapt to this unconventional situation. The entertainment industry has started creating socially distanced pandemic-themed shows such as Love in The Time of Corona (streaming on Hulu) and NBC’s Connecting. Netflix has also joined the game with their latest offering, 'Social Distance'. Social Distance is a dark and humorous anthology show, portraying how different kinds of people are dealing with the pandemic and the resulting lockdowns/quarantines. The show is created by Hilary Weisman Graham, whose most notable body of work is Netflix’s own Orange is the New Black.

“Orange is the New Black” creator Jenji Kohan and her production team are creating “Social Distance,” an anthology series about life in today’s “bizarre, bewildering reality.”
Kohan, Tara Herrmann, Hilary Weisman Graham, Diego Velasco, and Blake McCormick will executive produce the scripted series. Other details, including episode number and length, casting, and a release date have not been announced.
Netflix announced the news via Twitter.
“Our job as storytellers is to reflect reality, and in this new, bizarre, bewildering reality we are all experiencing we feel passionate about finding connection as we all remain at a distance,” the producers said in a joint statement. “We’ve been inspired to create an anthology series that tells stories about the current moment we are living through — the unique, personal, deeply human stories that illustrate how we are living apart, together.”
“Social Distance” will be created and produced virtually, with all personnel abiding by social distancing guidelines.

Ahhh, 2004. A simpler time, when the greatest issue of our day was the great Lindsay vs. Hilary feud and all anyone ever wanted was to dance the night away to this jam about the struggles of being super famous.
