Tom Felton has said he still feels “ashamed” of laughing at a young Emma Watson on the set of Harry Potter.
The Draco Malfoy star recalled the “painful” memory in his newly released memoir, Beyond the Wand: The Magic and Mayhem of Growing Up a Wizard.
Felton is three years older than Hermione Granger star Watson, whom he met at auditions when she was just nine and he was 12 years old.
The actor wrote that, in the early days, there was a real-life divide between the young Griffindor stars and their Slytherin rivals.
Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter), Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) and Watson formed one trio while Felton, Jamie Waylett (Vincent Crabbe) and Josh Herdman (Gregory Goyle) were slightly older.
"I suppose we thought we were a bit cooler," Felton wrote. "We'd spend our free time together listening to rap music – Wu-Tang, Biggie, 2Pac.”

“Harry Potter” star Daniel Radcliffe told Entertainment Weekly that he “can see why people are frustrated” with his iconic character’s creator — “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald” screenwriter/executive producer J.K. Rowling — and more of his former collaborators for their decision not to recast Johnny Depp in the upcoming film. Depp’s ex-wife, Amber Heard, has accused the three-time Oscar nominee of domestic violence during their marriage, which officially ended in January 2017.
Between late November and early December 2017, after the launch of the #MeToo movement, Rowling, the film’s director David Yates and producer David Heyman, and Warner Bros. all defended their decision to keep Depp as the titular character, dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald, although Rowling once considered finding another actor.

Johnny Depp is attached to the role of Gellert Grindelwald, and fans are none too pleased.
Back in 2016, Depp’s name was dragged into the public eye amid the abuse allegations made by his ex-wife, Amber Heard (Aquaman). The Hollywood duo have since settled their divorce and domestic abuse case, before releasing a joint statement in an attempt to set the record straight.
Still, question marks have been raised over Johnny Depp’s involvement in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald, the Warner Bros. sequel in which he plays the titular dark wizard. Both David Yates and J.K. Rowling – director and screenwriter, respectively – have publically defended Depp, and now, Daniel Radcliffe has weighed in on the matter at hand:
“It’s a very hard thing for me,” Radcliffe said, noting he wants to be supportive of the film’s producers who “gave me a great start in life and an amazing job.

Daniel Radcliffe is back in the West End in The Cripple of Inishmaan, Emma Watson is the cream of La in The Bling Ring and Rupert Grint's first Hollywood turn, in Cbgb, is released later this year. Harry, Hermione and Ron are adjusting to life post-Potter rather well – but what of the hundreds of other child actors who came from open auditions and stage schools to star in the eight films that became the highest-grossing series of all time, earning $7.7bn at the box office? Some, like Robert Pattinson (Cedric Diggory) and Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) have already moved on to other blockbusters. Others, like Jamie Waylett (Vincent Crabbe), jailed for two years for his part in the London riots, have sunk without trace. What is it really like to go from a decade working on the biggest film franchise in the world to finding work as young adults?...

Young actors can easily lose touch with the real world. I like to think Jamie Waylett was in the wrong place at the wrong time
Even though I played the character of Lavender Brown in the Harry Potter movies, I can't claim to know my co-actor Jamie Waylett – who was sentenced to jail this week for taking part in last summer's riots – that well. Our paths did not cross during my time filming. I was nonetheless sad to hear of his sentencing, and I worry about what will happen to him now. I don't know how things were going for him post-Potter and pre-riots; the last time I checked, he did not have any new projects on his IMDb page, and due to his jail time he now won't be able to make the grand opening of the Harry Potter studios in Leavesden, Watford. Which is a shame.

Will He Float Your Boat?: After more than the usual back and forth, Russell Crowe is now set to take on the titular role in Darren Aronofsky’s Noah. Cameras should be rolling in the summer on what has been described as a non-traditional epic, in which the biblical character becomes “disillusioned with the way humans have treated their planet.” We're not sure Crowe's Noah will be as angry as Crowe was in Robin Hood (above), but this could be another case in which a familiar name is used to sell a movie, while junking the original story entirely. That could mean downplaying any sort of divine intervention. Back in October, news broke that "Harry Potter" actor Jamie Waylett -- who played the Slytherin bully Vincent Crabbe in six of the hit films -- was arrested for possession of explosives following the Aug. 8 riots in London. Waylett was caught on camera drinking stolen champagne while holding what appeared to be a Molotov cocktail.
He's had trouble with the law before -- in 2009, Waylett was arrested on suspicion of marijuana possession.

Harry Potter star Jamie Waylett appeared in court on Monday to face accusations he intended to destroy property with a petrol bomb during the London riots last year.
The 22 year old, who starred as bully Vincent Crabbe in the wizard franchise, is accused of handling the bomb during clashes in the Chalk Farm area of the city.
Prosecutor Rebekah Hummerstone also told Wood Green Crown Court the actor had swigged from a bottle of champagne which had been looted from a supermarket.
She said, "He accepted a bottle of sparkling wine from a friend who is also seen on the footage carrying a number of bottles... He agreed he had been handed a bottle of champagne to drink out of... He also agreed he had been carrying a petrol bomb and said he was asked by other people to carry it. He had some trouble with them in the past and felt obliged to comply."
According to police interview, the actor insisted he was "fascinated" by the riots which swept across the U.K. capital last August, but denied taking part in the violence.
Waylett denies charges of having an article with intent to destroy or damage property and violent disorder.
The trial continues.

We hate to stereotype, but never trust a Slytherin. Never.
Jamie Waylett, the actor who portrayed Draco Malfoy sidekick Crabbe in six of the "Harry Potter" movies, has been charged with the possession of homemade explosives. According to TMZ, police believe that the 22-year-old actor had a Molotov cocktail while looting a drug store during the Aug. 8 London riots. Waylett was identified via video footage (London has plenty of that) and eventually apprehended on Sept. 20.
This is not Waylett's first tangle with British law enforcement; in 2009, Waylett was arrested on suspicion of possessing marijuana. Regarding the explosives, police issued the following statement:
"[Waylett] was charged with violent disorder, having an article with intent to destroy or damage property, receiving stolen goods and also cultivating cannabis plants.
Waylett's out on bail with a Nov. 11 court date. But we shudder to think what punishment Professor Snape will bring down.

After reviewing security footage, cops identified Waylett and arrested him on September 20, at which point authorities discovered 15 marijuana plants in his home. The actor has been charged with "violent disorder, having an article with intent to destroy or damage property, receiving stolen goods and also cultivating cannabis plants," which makes that Twilight kid's Four Loko incident seem like child's play. The actor who played chubby villain Vincent Crabbe in the Harry Potter movies is apparently something of a real life chubby villain in his time off-set, as he's been arrested for looting and carrying a homemade bomb during this summer's London riots, and also faces charges for growing lots and lots of weed. Twenty-two-year-old Jamie Waylett was caught on security cameras looting from a drugstore, and also carrying a Molotov cocktail that he never managed to set off. In the ensuing investigation, police also found fifteen marijuana plants at the actor's home, marking his second offense for weed. Thus, he now faces charges of violent disorder, possessing explosives, intent to destroy or damage property, receiving stolen goods, and enough marijuana charges to land him nearly fifteen years in jail. Yikes. Bet the Cruciatus curse doesn't sound so scary now, eh? Eh?! Ok, I'm [...]...

Sometimes life imitates art. Jamie Waylett, the actor famous for playing Draco Malfoy's "big-boned" bully sidekick Vincent Crabbe in six of the 'Harry Potter' films, finds himself facing a slew of charges — including possession of a homemade petrol bomb — linked to his involvement in the London riots over the summer.
The British authorities allege that the 22-year-old thesp armed himself with a Molotov cocktail with the intention of doing some serious damage during the fray.
Making matters even worse for Waylett, police discovered 15 cannabis plants in his bedroom, which wouldn't be such a big deal if he hadn't already been busted for growing marijuana back in 2009 — which led to him being written out of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2." (You'd think he'd have learned his lesson).

Vincent Crabbe, noooooo! E! is reporting on Harry Potter actor Jamie Waylett’s arrest and while we don’t want to immediately blame Voldemort, this crime has his scaly fingerprints all over it. Known to most as Draco Malfoy’s dopey henchman, Waylett was arrested for possessing a petrol bomb on August 8, 2011 during the London riots, in addition to, um, well, growing 15 marijuana plants in his bedroom. But clearly some malicious wizard must have put them there! If only we were still able to practice law, we could represent him in court!
Unfortunately this isn’t Waylett’s first arrest. After facing pot charges in 2009, his character was written out of Harry Potter And The Dealthy Hallows: Part 2. Just goes to show that some can’t resist the dark side. At least Waylett won’t have to destroy The Boy Who Lived in order to assume control of the wizarding world.

He played Draco Malfoy's evil sidekick, Vincent Crabbe, in the "Harry Potter" franchise and although the curtain has come down on the final "Potter" flick, it looks like Jamie Waylett hasn't given up on his 'up to no good' ways.

Authorities are claiming that Waylett was in posession of the Molotov cocktail, also known as a gasoline bomb, on August 8, during the height of the riots.

Chicago – “Harry Potter” actor Jamie Waylett, who played Draco Malfoy’s good friend Vincent Crabbe for six of the Potter films, is facing a number of charges for his involvement in this past summer’s London riots; charges that include possession of a homemade bomb.
Perhaps the casting was perfect as Waylett for a Slytherin student, as he has been in trouble with the law more than once now. In 2009, Waylett was charged for growing marijuana and given 120 hours of community service for the crime (a crime that supposedly had to do with him being written out of the final film).
Now, Waylett is being charged for arming himself with a Molotov cocktail on August 8 during the riots in London that led to some 3,000 arrests. For those who don’t know or don’t love zombie games, a Molotov cocktail is a glass bottle that contains flammable liquid that is stuffed with a cloth.

If the last time you read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was the weekend it hit bookstores, you may have scratched your head a few times while watching Deathly Hallows — Part 2. Here, a few burning questions answered.
1. Who was Ron supposed to be when they broke into Gringotts? In the book, it’s made clear that they only have enough Polyjuice Potion for one person. Therefore, Hermione simply reworks some of Ron’s features, which is why he’s still recognizable. Had he introduced himself in the film, he’d have been fictional foreigner Dragomir Despard, a Dark Lord...

Week 11 of EW’s 2011 Summer Movie Body Count continues with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows — Part 2. We expected this to reignite the debate over whether a certain someone technically dies, but we didn’t anticipate how difficult it would be to count the dead at the Battle of Hogwarts with the variety of curses, quick camera shots, and changes from the book. To be added to our list of casualties, you must die onscreen or have your lifeless body displayed. Let’s discuss, but keep it civil. Warning: Spoilers Ahead!

Shamed Harry Potter star Jamie Waylett is in hiding from violent gangs over drugs debts, according to a U.K. report.
The 20 year old, who is known to millions as Hogwarts bully Vincent Crabbe in the wizard franchise, was arrested last year after police pulled over his car and caught him in possession of several bags of cannabis.
His London home was subsequently raided by cops, who discovered the star was growing 10 cannabis plants. He was charged with illegal production and was handed 120 hours community service.
But his troubles didn't stop there - he is living in constant fear he will be beaten up or kidnapped over thousands of dollars he owes to gangsters, according to Britain's The Sun newspaper.
The publication claims Waylett moved out of his family's home in Kilburn, north-west London and has been hiding out in a homeless hostel for the past two months.
A source tells the tabloid, "He owes thousands to drug dealers. He's borrowed from loads of people. Now they want his money. They'd probably beat him up or kidnap him if they got him - but they don't know where he is.
"Jamie has to stay at the hostel five nights a week or he loses his room. He does go back to see friends sometimes, but he has problems in Kilburn."

Daily Mirror publishes pictures of Harry Potter star smoking what appears to be a joint at a London party
Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe provided an early Christmas gift to headline writers when he was photographed smoking what appeared to be a cannabis joint at a London party. The Daily Mirror today duly led with a front-page splash that christened him "Harry Pothead". For good measure, an inside spread pointed out that "the philosopher's stoned".
Radcliffe, 20, was attending a house party in Camden, north London with his sometime girlfriend Laura O'Toole when the images were snapped. They show the actor smoking a hand-rolled cigarette and having a comedy moustache drawn on his face. It is not clear when the photographs were taken.
"He was really friendly and talking about his dad a bit," fellow partygoer Wadia Tazi told the Mirror. "Then he pulled out a huge joint and lit up.

But new photographs show the actor shamelessly posing with his crop as he smoked the drug.

All the press focus get shoved onto the main Harry Potter kids, the Daniel Radcliffes and the Emma Watsons who are carefully controlled by the studio and know better than to say anything that might not make the studio happy. But apparently to get the real juicy stuff, you have to go to the minor players-- which is how MuggleNet got their hands on some slight spoilers for the final two Harry Potter films. Joshua Herdman, who plays Draco Malfoy's goonish right hand man Goyle, confirmed rumors that the split between the two films will occur just after Ron, Hermione and Harry are captured by the Snatchers, and the second film will start at Malfoy Manor. The real surprise for me, though, came with the news that the actor who plays Crabbe, Jamie Waylett, was arrested for marijuana possession a few months ago, and won't be in the Deathly Hallows...

As most magic-loving Muggles know, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" -- the final installment in J.K. Rowling's seven book series -- will be split into two pieces for its upcoming movie adaptation. There have long been suggestions and assumptions about where that split might lie. Last we heard, director David Yates had "three or four different ideas" about where the break should be.
Now we have what looks to be confirmation, though it's important to remember the old adage that "looks can be deceiving" in this particular case. Joshua Herdman, who plays Slytherin crony Goyle in the films, broke the news in a Q&A held in the UK several weeks ago. "Potter" fansite MuggleNet is quick to point out that "the director and producers have made it clear that they could very well change" the split point, so take all of this for what it's worth. Be warned,...

At the time, Tom Felton and Jamie Waylett were said to have recorded a message, to be shown before the film. The Harry Potter franchise is at the centre of another drug drama - a second star has been photographed smoking what appears to be marijuana.
Pictures of Josh Herdman, who has played bully Gregory Goyle in all of the Potter movies, puffing what appears to be a joint have appeared in U.K. tabloid The Sun.
The picture was taken while the 20-year-old star was holidaying in Amsterdam, Holland, where it is legal to smoke cannabis, last year.
A source tells the newspaper, "Josh sees himself as one of the boys. He'll join in with whatever anyone's doing - but some fans might be shocked."
The images come shortly after fellow Potter star Jamie Waylett narrowly avoided prison after he was caught in possession of several bags of marijuana.
He was sentenced to community service after pleading guilty to drug charges in July.
