Fran Warren, a popular singer from the '40s and '50s, has died. She was age 87.
The Associated Press reports that Warren passed away in her Connecticut home on March 4, her birthday. Her real name is Frances Wolfe, and she is survived by her two daughters, son-in-law and two nieces.
Warren was a member of the big band era and is best known for her 1947 recording "A Sunday Kind of Love." Her career lasted more than 50 years and included songs like "I Said My Pajamas (and Put On My Prayers)," "Dearie" and "It's Anybody's Heart." She also had a career as an actress, playing a supporting role in 1952's "Abbott and Costello Meet Captain Kidd" and a leading one in "Mame."...
