German Titov was born on September 11, 1935 in Verkhneye Zhilino, West Siberian Krai, RSFSR, USSR [now Altai Krai, Russia]. He was an actor, known for Slike sveta (1962), Stan niewazkosci (1994) and Our World (1986). He died on September 20, 2000 in Moscow, Russia.
Piloted the Vostok 2 spacecraft on 6 August 1961, becoming the first
man to orbit the earth multiple times. He also became the second
Russian (after fellow cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin) and the fourth human (after
Gagarin and American astronauts Alan Shepard and Gus Grissom) to enter
space.
