Charles 'Bud' Tingwell was born on January 3, 1923 in Coogee, New South Wales, Australia. He was an actor and director, known for Breaker Morant (1980), Murder She Said (1961) and Ned Kelly (2003). He was married to Audrey Wilson. He died on May 15, 2009 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
Was a Freemason, initiated in Lodge Carinya #719 in Jan 1950, he remained a subscribing Freemason for the rest of his life.
He was awarded the A.M. (Member of the Order of Australia) in the 1999 Queen's Birthday Honours List for his services to the performing arts as an actor, director, producer, and to the community.
