Southern Cross Austereo, which is located in South Melbourne, is giving staff the option to take self-defence classes. Since the company’s radio stations, which include Fox FM, require some staff to work late night shift work, the company deemed the safety measures necessary.
Sca’s Melbourne general manager Cathy Thomas, told Mumbrella: “The safety of our team members is a major priority – not just for myself, but for the entire management team here at Southern Cross Austereo.
