Welcome to this review of 2023’s All Out pay-per-view, which once again emanated from Chicago and the United Center. It was interesting to speculate what the reaction of the Chicago crowd would be given recent events in the company but… any crowd can appreciate a good pay-per-view and this was a good pay-per-view! Let’s see what went down:

Another week, another episode of Aew: Dark which this week features Fourteen matches, though we also get some of Aew’s bigger stars on the show, which makes up for the ridiculous amount of matches Imho. Anyway, on with the review…
Match #1: Action Andretti def. Tony Deppen
My Thoughts: Action Andretti continues his winning streak in this opening match, though why Deppen was allowed to get as much offence as he did – especially against the guy that beat Chris Jericho in his debut. Still, a great start to this week’s Dark.
My Score: 3 out of 5 Match #2: Evil Uno def. J. Spade
My Thoughts: Evil Uno’s turning to the dark side continues… I sincerely hope this new vicious streak continues and we get a stronger, more dominant Dark Order too. Shame the audience wasn’t into this one though.
My Score: 2 out of 5 Match #3: Parker Boudreaux def.

My Thoughts: What’s this? The Wingmen in a decent match shocker! I know that’s hard to believe given how they’ve been booked in forever… but it looks like the were given a chance to shine against Top Flight and Ar Fox, who also managed to draw out decent wrestling from the normally-comedic team. Surprising but superb start to this week’s show.

Part of the reverence for the Spielberg-Tom Hanks co-creation comes from an appreciation for the meticulously re-created history, from Belgian villages to liberated concentration camps; the production even shares the filming location of Ellenbrooke Fields with "Saving Private Ryan." Paired with interview excerpts from some of the real-life survivors, it makes for as-authentic-as-you-can-get storytelling.
"Bastogne" is the 6th episode in the series, one that sees the men of the 101st Airborne Division's "Easy" Company make their way through the European theater of WWII and specifically Germany's final offensive, known as the Battle of the Bulge. Focusing on the efforts of Medic Eugene Roe (played by Shane Taylor) as he renders aid to the wounded -- for context, Americans incurred 47,500 wounded during the real Ardennes...

Welcome to this week’s Ring Of Honor review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and Ring Of Honor is the only league as of late who is doing this right. It’s a pleasure to be here to promote episode 501 of Roh TV. Let’s see how it turns out.
Match #1: Eli Isom vs. Dak Draper (Time Limit Draw) The following is courtesy of rohwrestling.com
Two rising stars who appear destined to be wearing championship gold in the future will square off in a one-on-one match for the first time, but certainly not the last. Since returning to Roh last month, Isom has recorded impressive victories over Rey Horus and Lsg. In 2018, less than a year into his career, Isom scored pinfalls on former Roh World Champion Christopher Daniels and Shane Taylor. Draper, the 2019 Top Prospect Tournament winner, is 10-2 (.833) in one-on-one matches in his Roh career.

Welcome to this review of Ring Of Honor’s 19th Anniversary card, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and thou shalt not steal! So sayeth unto the word of God! The lord beith my shepherd! Unbegone from my tendered loins sprayed the pride of man. Whoeth so ever pulleth mine thumpeded heart like the beating of the great cockadoodledoo! Jumpeth did I atop the swimming shark and sayeth I unto you…ehhhhhh! We come now to the threshold of this most honorable ring. For 19 years haveth this mighty league of men and women braved so low a sport of false acts. Where hath been so deserved a hand upon the shoulder? Where have been the words of praise without the tongue everso forked? Why must this land run dry when greener grass to only those astride the path is bathed in the sweet nectar of the morning pour?...

Match #1: Josh Woods def. Jay Lethal – Pure Rules Match The following is courtesy of rohwrestling.com:
Lethal and Woods both won two matches in the Roh Pure Title Tournament before being eliminated in the block finals. Now they’ll face each other as they jockey for position in the Pure division. Match #1: Tracy Williams def. Fred Yehi – Block A Semi-Final Match The following is courtesy of rohwrestling.com:
Williams applied a hammerlock, but Yehi used his first of three allotted rope breaks. Less than 20 seconds later, Williams applied the same hold and Yehi used another rope break. Yehi hit an exploder suplex, then trapped Williams in a Koji Clutch, which forced Williams to use his first rope break. Williams kicked Yehi in the spine and landed a stiff forearm to the face. Yehi answered with a basement dropkick for a two count. Yehi caught Williams in the Koji Clutch again, but Williams used his second rope break. Williams hit a brainbuster for a two count.

Welcome to this week’s Ring Of Honor review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have one damn match, but it is a good one. Carly Simon likes to beat “Boys In The Trees”. There is a time and a place to eat a man’s face, but now is not that time. We’ve got wrestling to get to, so no eating a man’s face…with A1 dribbled on the jaw meat as it grilled for twenty minutes with red onions and filets of juicy pineapple sauntering above the smooth, curled skin clinging to the moist, tender strip of upper lip. Mmmmmm…cannibalism. Augygchlkhlggkc! This TalkTech system sure does make it easier to say bizarre $#!@.

Match #1: Dragon Lee defeated Jeff Cobb The following is courtesy of rohwrestling.com:
Cobb was chosen as Lee’s opponent by receiving 41 percent of the vote, beating out Pj Black (31 pct.), Kenny King (15 pct.) and Eli Isom (12 pct). Lee scored what some consider an upset by turning a Tour of the Islands attempt into a crucifix pin.
My Opinion: 3.5 out of 5 – This was a really good match, but it’s a shame that Cobb lost again. Who did he piss off? Greg Gilliland/Gilleland/who f—–‘ cares maybe?...

Match #1: Villain Enterprises (Marty Scurll and Flip Gordon) defeated Tracy Williams and Flamita
My Opinion: 3.5 out of 5 – Fortunately, this show did start off with a lovely match. I used lovely. I can do that. Suck it, Donald Trump. This was a fantastic way to start the show, as it was a longer match with plenty of action that was properly paced and fought with heart and passion. The sucking hasn’t quite started, yet.
Match #2: Shane Taylor defeated Danny Jones – Ring Of Honor World Television Title Match The following is courtesy of rohwrestling.com:
Roh World Television Champion Shane Taylor successfully defended his title against UK competitor Danny Jones.

Match #1: Jeff Cobb defeated Brody King
My Opinion: 3.4 out of 5 – This was a real hard-hitting match that came across like a volcano fighting Larry The Cable Guy in a demolition derby. I bet every butcher shop in the world would hire these guys if they could. Beat meat! Welcome to this week’s Ring Of Honor review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we’re screwed. Read the review and you’ll see what I mean.
Match #1: (Main Event) Matt Taven defeated Jay Lethal and Kenny King – Ring Of Honor World Championship Match The following is courtesy of rohwrestling.com:
Before the match began, Lethal demanded ringside attendant Amy Rose — whose interference at Best in the World cost Lethal the match and the best-of-three series with King — be sent to the back. This was non-stop action with all three competitors hitting one impactful move after another, both inside and outside the ring. King hit a double blockbuster on Taven and Lethal. He covered Lethal for a near fall, and then Taven for a near fall.
Lethal hit Lethal Injection on Taven, but Taven kicked out just in time. King hit Lethal Injection on Lethal...

Welcome to this review of Ring Of Honor: Mass Hysteria, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have the second card of the weekend from Roh. Manhattan Mayhem was quite good, so my hope is that Mass Hysteria is just as good, if not better. Okay, let’s see if this all came together or not.
Match #1: The Briscoes defeated The Bouncers – Ring Of Honor World Tag Team Title Match
My Opinion: 1.5 out of 5 – The Briscoes did fine here, but this just wasn’t much of a match. Going around ten minutes, this felt like a bowling ball landing on your foot and only hurting half as much as you thought it would. The Bouncers leave a lot to be desired, but they do have ability, so seeing them falter is unfortunate. I bet if this had happened in a bar this would have been a fun one,...

Welcome to this week’s Ring Of Honor review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have a big six-man tag team match for our main event, so don’t touch that $#@!&%? dial.
Match #1: Roh World Television Champion Shane Taylor defeated Rhett Titus – Proving Ground Match The following is courtesy of rohwrestling.com:
If Titus defeats Taylor or lasts the 15-minute time limit, he will receive a future shot at Taylor’s title. Titus’ unorthodox behavior frustrated Taylor in the early going, but Taylor soon began to brutalize him. Titus rallied, and he had Taylor reeling after nailing him with three successive running kicks in the corner. Titus hit a Samoan Drop for a two count. Taylor shook it off and hit a knee to the face and a devastating headbutt for the win.
My Opinion: 3 out of 5 – This was a nice match that had a...

Welcome to this week’s Ring Of Honor review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have a wild match or two from a league that is having a hard time making this year into a success. Let’s see if this show comes together all right.
Match #1: Pco defeated Jay Briscoe by disqualification The following is courtesy of rohwrestling.com:
Not surprisingly, the fight spilled to the floor, where Briscoe backdropped Pco onto the edge of the apron. Back inside the ring, Pco hit Kryptonite Krunch for a near fall, and a cannonball off the top rope for another near fall. Pco connected on a cannonball through the ropes to the outside. Briscoe halted Pco’s momentum by dropping him ribs-first on the guardrail. Briscoe then sat Pco in a chair outside the ring and delivered a running crossbody. Later, Pco set up for a moonsault,...

Welcome to this review of Ring Of Honor’s Best In The World Pay Per View, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have some good stuff from a lame league to get to. Roh has been having a lot of trouble the past three/four months, so let’s see if they can get back on the horse they’ve fallen off of before they get trampled by it.
Match #1: Rush defeated Flip Gordon
This was good for an opener, but it deserved to go a bit longer…that’s WWE talk! Before I get on a tangent, this was some good stuff, but it needed more time.
My Opinion: 3 out of 5 Match #2: Dalton Castle defeated Dragon Lee
This was pretty good, but it felt a bit restrained for a match that was really close to being great. Yeah, 3.5 is my official review, but...

Welcome to this week’s Ring Of Honor review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have Jay Lethal and Kenny King in the second match of their series against each other. Let’s see if it all goes well. I’m just so exciting, aren’t I? Bueller? Is that how you spell that name? Bueller? Speaking of Ben Stein…I wish I had won his money.
Match #1: Colt Cabana defeated Mark Briscoe – Nwa National Title Match The following is courtesy of rohwrestling.com:
Cabana outwrestled Briscoe early, but the tide turned after Briscoe knocked Cabana off the top rope to the floor. Briscoe hit a flying elbow off the apron. Then he sat Cabana on a chair outside the ring and charged at him, but Cabana stood up and tossed Briscoe over his head onto the chair. Back inside the ring, Cabana knocked Briscoe...
