- Producer of such television specials as "Circus of the Stars," "Celebrity Daredevils", "Festival of the Stars", "People's Command Performance", The Annual Jukebox Awards and "Stars Salute to the U.S. Olympic Team." Stivers produced celebrity specials for all three major television networks, giving national audiences their first look at such personalities as Linda Rondstadt. In 1969 he created the celebrity contest show "The Movie Game," featuring such stars as John Wayne, Bob Hope, Jimmy Stewart, Carol Burnett and Burt Reynolds. The previous year he produced a nationwide talent search for NBC-TV, "Showcase '68," which introduced Ronstadt to network television, as well as Sly and the Family Stone and others. In 1963, he executive produced "100 Grand", ABC's attempt to bring back the big money quiz shows (which were scrapped four years earlier due to the quiz show scandals).In 1975 Stivers created "The People's Choice Awards and produced it until 1984.
