With its recent cinematic re-release and shiny Blu-ray box set flying off shelves Back to the Future is firmly back in the public consciousness and with the moratorium on anything even approaching a remake or reboot looking to be permanent there’s something interesting on the horizon for those who want more time with Hill Valley’s finest.
Telltale games have been working on a new video game adventure played out over a series of five episodes set after the Back to the Future films with players controlling Marty McFly as he and Doc Brown travel through time on PC, Mac, PS3 and iPad.
Three new pictures emerged today to whet appetites, and in this they succeed completely.
We spoke to co-creator Bob Gale, whose involvement with the game, along with the return of Christopher Lloyd in the role of Doc Brown, lends the game a credible link to the original movies,...

A few months ago we reported that Telltale Games was preparing to release a series of new episodic video games based on the Back to the Future franchise. At the time Telltale Games hadn’t yet divulged any details of the storyline for the upcoming video game. However IGN recently had an interview with Telltale’s co-designer Mike Stemmle who discussed the story for the first instalment and also provided some screenshots from the game itself.
“The story in the game is completely new, set several months after the events of the third movie from Marty’s perspective. Of course, this is a story that involves time travel, so who knows where it’ll end up? We’re working with Bob Gale to make sure we’re delivering an authentic experience. There’ll be numerous recognizable elements of course – the Hill Valley town centre, the clock tower, the DeLorean, Doc’s lab,...

It's virtually impossible to watch classic movies like Back to the Future and not secretly wish that you had access to a Delorean and enough straight road to hit 88 miles per hour. That's why Telltale Games is gearing up to release a Back to the Future game, one that is hopefully much better than the Ljn ones of the nineties. The new game will be episodic in nature, taking Marty McFly and Doc Emmett Brown on a whole new adventure.. IGN has posted some new screenshots of the game, which is initially coming to Mac and PC owners and later to Playstation 3 and iPad gamers. In their interview with Mike Stemmle, co-designer at Telltale, they expose some bits of the game including: * Marty will be the only playable character * Iconic places/items will be in the game (The Delorean, The Clock Tower, Hill Valley, etc) * There will be ...
