Team T-Rex became extinct on the second leg of “The Amazing Race 34.” Though they started out the leg well, Tim Mann and Rex Ryan struggled with both tasks in Wednesday’s episode in Austria: the yodeling Roadblock, performed by the former New York Jets and Buffalo Bills coach, and the bell-ringing Detour, which took them at least 10 tries. Not even Quinton and Mattie temporarily being in the wrong country or Rich and Dom having to return to their car to retrieve her hat was enough for the golf buddies to squeak by.
So why did they have so many problems with the bells? Find out below.
Gold Derby: What was it like watching the episode last night?
Rex: The worst part about it was you knew it was gonna come to an end. You’re just kicking yourself, seeing opportunities that could’ve been had. But it was a great...

On Wednesday night, “The Amazing Race” takes flight, beginning its first season outside of the U.S. — in Munich, Germany. And starting outside the states is the first of several twists ahead in Season 34.
As the show continues on CBS, the racing teams will also, this year, be contending with more eliminations than the show has ever seen. There are no non-elimination rounds, it’s been announced.
Ahead of Wednesday night’s premiere, TheWrap spoke with host Phil Keoghan, who shared insight into what we can expect in the weeks ahead, including from former NFL coach Rex Ryan.
TheWrap: Before we get into the details of this season, can we talk about having Rex Ryan on ‘The Amazing Race’ this season?
Phil Keoghan: He’s one of those characters that’s just larger than life, and somebody who, when you see him on TV, he’s all of that and then a whole bunch more.

The Amazing Race 34 released its cast list, and there are a lot of fun duos that fans will get to watch this fall on CBS.
It was revealed in June that a new group of competitors had begun their race around the world, but we only had rumors to go off of when it came to the names of the cast members.
As expected, the official cast list for Amazing Race 34 includes a Big Brother showmance that seems geared toward doing well on the reality competition show.
Derek Xiao and Claire Rehfuss from Big Brother 23 started a relationship while they were both living in the jury house, and then they took that right into dating in the real world when the season ended.

Will a “Big Brother” showmance win “The Amazing Race” again? “Big Brother 23” alums Derek Xiao and Claire Rehfuss are among the 12 new teams competing on “The Amazing Race 34.”
The new cast, announced Wednesday, also includes long-lost twins, ballroom dancers, military brothers and a pair of former Rams cheerleaders. That’s not the only NFL connection, though, because former New York Jets and Buffalo Bills coach Rex Ryan is also in the cast. Now an ESPN analyst, he is racing with his golf buddy Tim Mann. ESPN has set a radical new game plan for “Get Up!” its ambitious attempt at a morning sports-talk show that has so far failed to gain the network a broader audience in the time slot.
The Walt Disney-owned network said co-host Michelle Beadle, one of its most colorful and distinctive personalities, would leave the program as of August 29, and move to Los Angeles to focus more intently on her other duties at ESPN as the host of its popular “NBA Countdown.” The basketball program had originated from ESPN’s Los Angeles production facilities before moving to New York to accommodate Beadle’s new morning duties as well as those of “Get Up” co-host Jalen Rose.
