- Martin Ruzek was born on September 23, 1918 in Cervený Kostelec, Bohemia, Austria-Hungary [now Czech Republic]. He was an actor, known for Prague Nights (1969), Pan Vok odchází (1979) and The Death of Tarzan (1963). He was married to Jarmila Palivcová. He died on December 18, 1995 in Prague, Czech Republic.

- He was considered for the leading part of Petr Vok in Svatby pana Voka (1971), eventually played by Milos Kopecký. However, Ruzek was later cast to the same role in the film's sequel Pan Vok odchází (1979).
- He was originally cast as doctor Navrátil in Muj brácha má prima bráchu (1975), but went ill just days before shooting, so Zdenek Rehor was his last minute replacement.
