Brit horror Paintball Massacre sees a bunch of old school friends go on a paintball trip miles away from civilization. Things go horribly wrong when they discover that not only are their old school “friends” playing the game but also a cold-blooded masked killer…
High school reunions in movies never go right do they? Be it comedy or horror, school reunions tend to feature people harbouring unforgiven betrayals, long-standing hatreds, and stir up emotions that many have buried deep, forgetting the traumas of school life until they come face to face with people long-since forgotten. Its even worse when one of the class mates has turned into a total psychopath and want to take hatred of their school “friends” to a whole new level.

The investigation builds in day two of Collateral. Spoilers ahead in our review…
This review contains spoilers.
See related Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 5 episodes 1 & 2 review: Orientation
Episode two of Collateral includes two songs - Jerusalem, sung by a group of drunk, braying soldiers in dress garb, and Big Yellow Taxi, sung by Joni Mitchell. Both about building things on green and pleasant land, the first is an anthem of nation, the second is an environmentalist protest. One looks forward to a future heaven on earth, the other laments the destruction of one that already existed.
Collateral is also a lament. It’s protest drama. Through the common-sense compassion of Carey Mulligan’s Kip, it protests the inhumanity by which people become items ‘processed’ at places like the Essex detention centre. And through the paired stories of Laurie and Sandrine this episode,...

Stars: Charlie Cox, Billy Cook, Freema Agyeman, Robert Portal, Mackenzie Crook, Eve Myles, Vincent Regan, Tony Curran, Dexter Fletcher, Ruth Jones, Annette Crosbie | Written by Danny King | Directed by Jason Flemyng
The directorial debut of actor Jason Flemyng, this low budget British horror-comedy has a solid cast and a moderately intriguing premise, but it can’t quite decide whether it wants to go for scares or laughs and ends up falling awkwardly between the two.
Written by Danny King (Wild Bill), Eat Locals (originally Eat Local, with an ‘s’ being added in the marketing stage) centres on a coven of centuries-old vampires – including Daredevil’s Charlie Cox, Doctor Who’s Freema Agyeman and One Foot in the Grave‘s Annette Crosbie – convening for their semi-centennial meeting at a remote country farmhouse. Also present is naïve orphan Sebastian (Billy Cook), who thinks he’s on a promise with vampish Vanessa (Eve Myles,...

It is a bittersweet thing to listen to the first story in Big Finish’s second season of Fourth Doctor adventures. It’s nice to have Tom Baker back, and the story is as good as anyone could want from them. But…Mary Tamm. Poor, dear, Mary Tamm.
This story is chock-full of Season 16 goodness. It starts with the Doctor (Tom Baker) and Romana (Mary Tamm) leaving the Tardis to spend some time on Earth. The Tardis itself has had its randomizer turned on so that it can lead the Black Guardian on a merry chase while K9 stays inside to keep it company. Meantime, the Doctor and Romana set up housekeeping in London in the 1920s.
While this is going on, a young man (Robert Portal) is having a problem with his aunt (Julia McKenzie). It seems said aunt keeps killing his fiancées and stealing and stealing their bodies,...

Actor Robert Portal has raised more than $640,000 (£400,000) for Natascha McElhone's late husband's charity after successfully rowing across the Atlantic Ocean.
Portal, who appeared in The King's Speech and is dating Kristin Scott Thomas' sister Sam, signed up to row 3,000 miles (4,828 kilometres) from the Canary Islands to Barbados with his friend James Cash to benefit the actress' late partner Dr Martin Kelly's health organisation Facing The World.
They were left stranded after their boat was damaged on 2 January but managed to complete their challenge when new oars were delivered, and Portal has spoken of his delight about raising so much cash with the challenge.
Speaking on British morning show Daybreak, he says, "A great friend of mine, Martin Kelly, was a surgeon for a charity called Facing The World. He was a great friend and I thought (when he died)... I'm going to have to do something to make people sit up and take notice and I thought what could be the worst thing I could do to raise the most amount of money and that ticked the box.
"At the moment we're over £400,000, it's still coming in on Facebook and Justgiving. People have been wonderfully kind, so that's brilliant."...

Actor Robert Portal is struggling to survive as he drifts in his boat in the Atlantic Ocean, and he fears "getting swept off" the vessel every time he ventures out on deck.
Portal, who appeared in The King's Speech and is dating Kristin Scott Thomas' sister Sam, signed up to row 3,000 miles (4,828 kilometres) from the Canary Islands to Barbados with his friend James Cash.
They set off on their charity mission last month, but their vessel was hit by huge waves over the Christmas holidays and the pair's oars broke - leaving them drifting across the ocean.
Portal and his pal are awaiting the delivery of new oars so they can reach their destination, but the fierce weather conditions are making the experience difficult.
He tells London's Evening Standard, "It's quite uncomfortable. We will have been here a week by the time the oars get here. It's really hot in the cabin. If we want to go on deck we risk getting swept off because the waves are so big. It's really frustrating because we want to get it done."...

Actor Robert Portal has been left stranded in the Atlantic Ocean after his boat was damaged partway through a charity challenge.
Portal, who appeared in The King's Speech and is dating Kristin Scott Thomas' sister Sam, signed up to row 3,000 miles (4,828 kilometres) from the Canary Islands to Barbados with his friend James Cash.
They set off on their mission last month, but their vessel was hit by huge waves over the Christmas holidays and the pair's oars broke - leaving them drifting across the ocean.
Sam tells Britain's Daily Mail, "Their boat capsized... and could have sunk. The boat is designed to right itself and they were both in the cabin with the door shut when it turned over. Had they not been, the cabin would have filled with water.
"They are just sitting there in huge seas, stuck in a tiny cabin. The weather has been absolutely dreadful - lots of wind. And to capsize 1,000 miles out in the Atlantic is very scary. My sisters Kristin and Serena have been incredibly supportive. Bertie and James have been working towards this challenge for two years. Their courage is amazing."
Sam reveals a rescue ship is due to deliver the pair new oars by the weekend (07-08Jan12) so they can complete their challenge, which is to raise money for actress Natascha McElhone's late husband Dr Martin Kelly's health charity Facing The World.

Two men with almost no rowing experience and lacking any background as seamen are currently adrift in mid-Atlantic.
One of them, Robert Portal - better known as Bertie - is an actor. The other, James Cash, is a personal trainer.
They are attempting to row almost 3,000 miles - from La Gomera in the Canary Islands to Barbados - as part of the Talisker whiskey Atlantic challenge.
Having set off on 5 December, they have now lost all six of their oars - due to the force of the waves - and, amid a huge and threatening swell, must wait a couple of days to receive new ones from a back-up boat.
Portal and Cash are risking their lives to raise money for a charity, Facing the World, which exists in order to provide life-changing facial reconstructive surgery by some of Britain's leading surgeons to children from the world's poorest countries.

Chicago – As “The King’s Speech” will almost certainly earn multiple Oscar nominations in tomorrow’s announcement from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, we bring you this behind-the-scenes glimpse inside the mind of the masterful production.

HollywoodChicago.com recently interviewed “The King’s Speech” director Tom Hooper about his evocative film on King George VI’s stutter with Colin Firth, Geoffrey Rush, Helena Bonham Carter and Guy Pearce. While elocution coaches exist aplenty to help people prevail over a stutter, the 39-year-old Hooper says Colin Firth’s challenge was to spawn one and then conquer it with authenticity.
