Was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1957 for helping to resolve the
Suez Canal crisis as Canada's Minister of External Affairs.
Furthermore, he was the first Canadian to be awarded the Nobel Peace
Prize.
Inducted into the University of Toronto Sports Hall of Fame in 1987 (inaugural class).
