Written by Rogan Roberts and Tim Pickett and directed by Pickett himself, The Tormented is a dramatic horror movie about a couple who attempt to begin again after losing their young son in an awful car accident. They find themselves in an Italian town called Calabria, a town that slowly, over the course of the film, reveals itself to be much more than they’d expected. Can you say “Mafia” and “Cult”? I’m there.
There are various attributes and vehicles I love in horror and in drama, and the implementation of a cult in the story is one of them. Be it a more religious and realistic cult in a gritty human drama, or a supernatural cult in a horror film,...

Christian Bisceglia and Ascanio Malgarini's Italian tooth fairy chiller 'The Haunting of Helena' (Aka 'Fairytale') has scored a Us release. The flick that has gained its new 'haunting' title, which in all honesty seems way too familiar, is set to be unleashed on VOD on 18 June and then landing in select Us theatres on 21 June. Christian Bisceglia co-directs from a script he penned telling a twisted tale of the legendary Tooth Fairy and we've been promised that there is no sign of Dwayne Johnson parading around in tights anywhere. Harriet MacMasters-Green, Sabrina Jolie Perez, Jarreth J. Merz, Matt Patresi, Paolo Paoloni, Giuliano Montaldo and Susanna Cornacchia all star. Check out the full plot rundown plus artwork below....

Shadow Movie PosterFormer Rockstar Frederico Zampaglione's Shadow now has a North American trailer for horror fans. This newest clip, which is quite different from the previous seen (here), shows a couple on a mountain bike adventure in the Alps. Enter in some degenerate hunters and Nazi experiments, then there is a great deal of conflict to be had. This is a film that this reviewer has been looking forward to and apparently this film is available now on IFC Film's Midnight feature (Twitch). However, this cannot be confirmed by the enigma that is also know as the IFC Film website. The trailer is below.
A synopsis for Shadow here:
"A soldier returning from a tour of duty in Iraq goes on a mountain bike adventure in the Alps to forget his battle weary past. In the woods he meets a pretty young stranger who tells him about a local myth concerning a nazi experiment camp.
