- Left directing to start a theatrical agency in the mid-'30s. One of his first clients was James Mason. Among other clients represented by Parker's British agency over the years were Susannah York, Glynis Johns, Robert Newton and Trevor Howard.
- He became a talent scout for Fox in the early 1930s. Future Oscar winner James Dunn was a Parker discovery.
- In her biography Gloria Swanson said, "My next director was a rather eccentric Englishman named Albert Parker. We made two pictures together, and there was no way on earth I could dislike him. He was too much fun. He was an excellent director with fine taste".
