- Received a prestigious Winsor McCay Award in 2000.
- In the 1950's, he directed TV commercials, returning to animation in the 60's, working at Warner Brothers and for DePatie/Freleng on Pink Panther cartoons.
- Prolific English-born animator and animation director, best remembered for his work on early black & white Looney Tunes cartoons (especially Porky Pig) under the auspices of Frank Tashlin and, later, Bob Clampett.
