I love these two! Not only are they great comedic actors, they.re also fun to talk to! .The World.s End. inspired me to imbibe immediately after watching the film. So both Simon Pegg and Nick Frost were teasing me about my own pub crawl (okay, not too much of a crawl, I only visited one pub).
In the film directed by Edgar Wright (and co-written by Pegg and Wright), Pegg (Gary) and Frost (Andy), along with Paddy Considine (Steven), Martin Freeman (Oliver), and Eddie Marsan (Peter) try to relive their glory days by going on the Golden Mile . visiting twelve pubs culminating with The World.s End bar. They weren.t quite successful decades ago and this time, they want to finish it by hook or by crook even when they start noticing something odd about their old town of Newton Haven.
And let me tell ya, I...

We've plucked 13 potential little beauties out of the 2013 UK film line-up, feat. sci-fi, comic-book, horror, comedy, thriller & more...
Look ahead to the UK films coming out in 2013 and you’ll see a diverse landscape of filmmakers, genres, actors, budgets and ideas. Next year brings us something new from Joanna Hogg, and something else from Danny Dyer. Irvine Welsh’s Filth will almost certainly live up to its title, but the Absolutely Fabulous film? We’ll see.
Al Pacino’s playing King Lear, and Stephen Mangan’s playing Postman Pat. Shane Meadows is making a film about the Tour de France, and Nigel Cole is making a film about an otter. Steve Coogan will be a porn baron, Bridget Jones will have a baby, Nick Frost will dance the salsa, Martin Freeman will save Santa, and Sean Bean, bless the man, will probably die.

Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost appear to have picked the first outside element for their latest collaboration, Cornetto Trilogy cap The World’s End. They’re adding some top thesp power with the Mail’s Baz Bamigboye reporting that Rosamund Pike will appear in the movie. There’s no word on which role she’ll be playing just yet, but then the whole film is largely still wrapped in secrecy beyond the basic synopsis. Here’s what we know so far, having snagged Pegg and Wright for interviews you can read in the Dark Knight Rises issue of the mag. We had already been informed that the movie revolves around a pub crawl involving Gary King (Pegg) and four childhood friends (including Nick Frost as Andy Knight), while a cataclysmic, possibly apocalyptic event, rages around them. Pegg told us that the movie involves "a crawl through twelve pubs,...

Word that “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World” filmmaker Edgar Wright would be reuniting with Simon Pegg and Nick Frost to complete their “Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy” with “The World’s End” surprised many of us when the news arrived back at the beginning of May. All three creative minds have been very busy with a variety of projects since "Hot Fuzz," but with lensing set to begin in September, Wright and Pegg are beginning to tease out what fans can expect from their next collaboration.
Talking with go-to cinema periodical Empire in their native U.K., while the new film appears to be more mature than “Shaun of the Dead” and “Hot Fuzz,” Wright contends that “I would say it's darker, more personal and more silly." The movie is set to follow a pub crawl involving Gary King (Pegg) and four childhood friends (one of whom will be Nick Frost...

Great news for Simon Pegg fans, the final instalment of the much heralded and highly anticipated three flavours Cornetto trilogy is well on the way and a few details have been released. In an interview with Empire Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg talk about the upcoming project. The final part entitled The World’s End revolves around a pub crawl involving four childhood friends, which include Simon Pegg’s character Gary King while Nick Frost plays Andy Knight. It was leaked a few months ago that the storyline involved the group enjoying a few beers while in the background an apocalyptic event engulfs around them. Now it seems according to Pegg that the plot involves "a crawl through twelve pubs, culminating in the final one, which is The World's End." Edgar Wright, the film’s director had this to say: "This is as much about where you grew up as...

While everyone else is busy tending to their BBQ's, the fine folks over at Empire Online recently chatted with Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright about their latest film in a trilogy of comedies that started with Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, entitled The World's End.
The film revolves around a pub crawl involving Gary King (Pegg) and four childhood friends (including Nick Frost as a character called Andy Knight), while a cataclysmic, possibly apocalyptic, event rages around them. But now Pegg tells Empire that the movie involves "a crawl through twelve pubs, culminating in the final one, which is The World's End."
Wright chimes in, "This is as much about where you grew up as the people you grew up with..." But while it seems that The World's End is more mature than either Shaun of the Dead or Hot Fuzz, he's keen to point out that "it's also very silly.
