It's back. After a three year break, ABC has ordered a third season of the Who Wants to Be a Millionaire TV series. This version was launched in 2020 during the early days of the pandemic.
A revival of the long-running primetime and syndicated quiz show, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire is hosted by late night's Jimmy Kimmel. As in the original versions, contestants try to answer multiple-choice trivia questions for ascending amounts of money, with the hopes of winning the million-dollar prize. Players can take advantage of lifelines to help them answer questions and get further in the game. In this version, the lifelines are "Ask the Host" (replacing "Ask the Audience"), "50/50", and "Phone a Friend". Contestants can also invite an expert guest (anyone of their choosing) to help them answer questions. In the second...

Jimmy Kimmel could hardly contain himself Thursday night, opening his monologue by jumping right into the news that he was mentioned in the ongoing criminal trial of former President Donald Trump.
“I am very excited, I am very proud, I’m exhilarated even,” Kimmel told his audience. “Because from here on, we aren’t just following the Donald Trump drama in New York. We are part of it.”
Text messages entered into evidence by the prosecution yesterday showed a 2018 exchange between Trump’s then-attorney Michael Cohen and Keith Davidson, who represented Stormy Daniels in the hush money payment, discussing an interview with Daniels on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
The interview in question took place on January 30, 2018, following the State of the Union. In it, Kimmel brought up a letter Daniels had allegedly signed denying she had an affair with Trump, pressing Daniels on whether the signature was authentic.

As we’ve come to learn over the last few months, Ryan Gosling is nothing if not game. He demonstrated that yet again Wednesday night, when the three-time Oscar nominee paid a visit to Jimmy Kimmel Live!
After Kimmel introduced Gosling as “a man from Canada who played Ken and got nominated for an Oscar for it” and the star of “the new rom-action comedy The Fall Guy,” the camera cut to Gosling emerging from his dressing room. As the actor made his way to the stage, he came under attack by a seemingly endless line of baddies who tried to take him out with everything from a baseball bat to their bare hands.
For his part, Gosling didn’t miss a beat. After taking out one attacker with his coffee cup and smashing another against a wall, the Barbie star even made some time to stop by fellow guest...

The Donald Trump election fraud trial in New York takes Wednesdays off, but that only left late-night hosts time to play catchup with the widely reported fact that the GOP nominee for President can’t keep his eyes open for ten minutes at a time. As reports came out that Trump’s madly spinning legal team is being forced to come up with unique “devices” to keep their client conscious during his criminal trial, Kimmel called his nemesis “Naptain America” before mocking the apparent projection of Trump’s recent 4 a.m. social media post accusing President Biden of being the sleepy one.

Of President Joe Biden’s myriad quips and Dad joke-level zingers at Saturday night’s White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner — including around the thorny issue of his age and aimed at former President Donald Trump — one joke, in particular, referenced a notable, recent move by his campaign.
Speaking to a crowd of media figures, A-list celebrities and Beltway power brokers who’d just wrapped up their dinner, Biden started serving up one punchline after another. About halfway through his tight 15, the president referred to his recent sitdown with talk radio host Howard Stern.
“I have higher standards,” Biden said from the podium. “I do interviews with strong independent journalists who millions of people actually listen to…like Howard Stern.”
Goofing on Stern’s journalistic credibility landed with the audience, which, despite the spectacle of the star-studded event, is meant to honor the bravery, tenacity and grit of some of the best reporters in the nation.

Kim Kardashian and Odell Beckham Jr. are going their separate ways after being linked for some time. So, what’s the real reason behind the famous pair calling it quits?
The Kardashians Date Other Famous People
The Kardashian brand is associated with a lot of things. One of those things is dating other famous people. Whether it’s other socialites, actors, comedians, musicians, or athletes, all of the Kardashian siblings are known for dating other famous people.
While it’s true that every once in a while, a major celebrity dating an everyday civilian can work, that has never been the case with the Kardashians. Many of them are known for dating NBA players, for example. This is also true of the Jenners as well. So, in many ways, it’s a family trait.

Tobey Maguire’s Spidey role was reportedly first offered to Wes Bentley, who now plays the despicable Jamie Dutton in Taylor Sheridan’s Western drama. Jimmy Kimmel, ABC, and Disney have filed a joint motion to dismiss the lawsuit that former congressman George Santos brought against them earlier this year.
The suit stems from a series of Cameo videos that Kimmel commissioned from Santos and broadcast on his show in December. The videos, purchased for $500 a piece, saw Santos reading from outlandish scripts and were aired on Jimmy Kimmel Live! under the rubric of a feature Kimmel dubbed “Will Santos Say It?”
Santos alleges that Kimmel’s on-air use of the videos violated the disgraced former representative’s copyright, and broke Cameo’s terms of service.
In a 32-page motion filed Monday with the US Federal Court in the southern district of New York, Disney lawyers argue that the broadcast of Cameo videos purchased from Santos falls under the Fair Use provision of copyright law, which permits a party to use a copyrighted work without...

Asked to recall her favorite moment on Jimmy Kimmel Live this past year, Molly McNearney answers without hesitation.

ABC’s American Idol Season 22 shows returning judges Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan giving sage advice to the amateur singers hoping for their big break. Here we go again. Apparently not content with his ongoing feud with Jimmy Kimmel, Donald Trump added two more Late Nighters to his enemies list this weekend.
Trump took to Truth Social with his take on the latest episode of Real Time with Bill Maher, which featured an interview with third-party presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. While the post was mostly aimed at Rfk Jr., Trump made sure to get a couple barbs in at Maher first.
“I actually watched, first time in a long time, ratings challenged Bill Maher’s really boring interview with Rfk Jr. last night,” Trump wrote in a Sunday morning post.
Despite Trump’s claims to the contrary, in fact Maher’s program recently doubled its audience when CNN began rebroadcasting the Friday night HBO show Saturday nights in prime time.

Password Season 2 Part 2 is all set to be released next month on NBC and here are the details you need to know!
Emmy-award-winning host Keke Palmer returns for an exciting second season of ‘Passwords’ and contestants like Lauren Graham, Joe Manganello, and Chance The Rapper are coming to grace our screens!
If that’s not enough, Palmer will be joined by Jimmy Fallon and they are returning with Passwords in full swing.
Just like the first season, episodes in the second season will feature ‘back-to-back games with Fallon’ paired with a contestant competing against a celebrity guest for cash prizes by guessing a secret password using only singular word clues – this was according to a press release from ABC.
However, despite the similarities with the first season the second one will be slightly different and will shake things up while retaining the comedy that the show fans have come to adore.

On Tuesday, former New York Rep. George Santos (R-New York) announced that he had terminated his independent campaign for a congressional seat.
Santos, expelled from the House last year, had expressed his intention to run as an independent candidate for New York’s First Congressional District just last month.
A recent campaign filing showed that he had raised $0 in the first quarter.
In a statement released on X, Santos explained his withdrawal. He cited concerns over potential vote-splitting with Rep. Nick Lalota (R-New York), which could ultimately result in the Democrats securing the seat. Lalota was among the Republicans who voted to expel Santos in December after the revelation of federal criminal charges against him. Santos pleaded not guilty to the fraud charges and is scheduled to trial in September.

Emma Stone is responding to reports that she called Jimmy Kimmel a “prick” during the 2024 Oscars.
If you don’t remember, back in March during the ceremony, Jimmy, who hosted the show, made a joke about the content of her film Poor Things, implying that it was overly sexualized and that they couldn’t show much of it on TV.
At that moment, the camera panned to Emma, and lip reading fans thought she called Jimmy a “prick” in response to his comments.
Keep reading to find out more…
Now, Emma is clearing the air.
THR asked, “Emma, did Kimmel really upset you at the Oscars, or was that taken out of context?”
Emma then responded, “Did he upset me?”
They then clarified, “There’s a thing that went around the internet: After he said, ‘That’s all we could show from Poor Things,’ you said something to your husband.

Wheelhouse, the production, content and talent management firm founded by Brent Montgomery, has secured an investment from Alignment Growth, the firm founded the former Time Warner CEO Jeff Bewkes and former Warner Bros. Entertainment chief Kevin Tsujihara.
Terms of the funding round weren’t disclosed, but Bewkes will join the board of the company, which owns Spoke Studios, Campfire, Butternut and Additive Creative Partners, and has production deals with Jimmy Kimmel’s Kimmelot and David Chang’s Majordomo.
The company plans to use the fresh cash to attract new talent and pursue strategic acquisitions.
“We are building Wheelhouse as a collective of global creatives who not only shine on their own, but truly want to partner with one another across labels and divisions so we’re thrilled that Alignment’s investment will allow us to supersize our efforts engaging talent in front of and behind the camera,” Montgomery said in a statement.

Brent Montgomery’s media company Wheelhouse has secured its first outside round of funding, landing a minority investment from former Time Warner chief Jeff Bewkes’ investment firm Alignment Growth.
As part of the transaction, Bewkes — who founded Alignment with Alex Iosilevich and Kevin Tsujihara — will be joining Wheelhouse’s board of directors.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Wheelhouse says the size of the investment from Alignment “will enable Wheelhouse to build an infrastructure that attracts industry-leading talent and accelerates growth via strategic acquisitions.”
Founded in 2018 by Montgomery, who was then coming off his sale of Leftfield Entertainment to ITV in 2014, and Jimmy Kimmel, Wheelhouse assets currently include Spoke Studios, Campfire, Butternut, Wheelhouse UK and DNA. Additionally, Wheelhouse has production partnerships with Kimmel’s Kimmelot and celebrity chef David Chang’s Majordomo Media.

In 2009, at the request of SkyMovies, Quentin Tarantino named his 20 favorite films released between 1992 and 2009. 1992 was chosen as the starting point because that was the year Tarantino himself became a film director. Quentin cited a Japanese action movie that he felt was blatantly ripped off by The Hunger Games as his favorite project of the past 17 years:
“I’m a big fan of the Japanese movie Battle Royale, which is what Hunger Games was based on. Well, Hunger Games just ripped it off. That would have been awesome to have directed Battle Royale.”
Long before The Hunger Games, director Kinji Fukasaku captured the frenzy of teenagers stranded on an island to survive. Battle Royale is a Japanese film that has become a cult classic over the course of two decades, spawning a wave of works about deadly games.

Donald Trump, if you take it from him, is cherishing the opportunity to stand trial on criminal charges related to a hush-money payment to a porn star. “I’m very proud to be here,” he told reporters before heading into court on Monday, calling the proceedings an “assault on America” that his presence, presumably, would serve to expose. “I’m very honored to be here,” the former president added.
Trump hasn’t been taking to martyrdom very well behind the scenes, though, three sources with knowledge of the matter tell Rolling Stone.

It appears that late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel is a bit of a gambling man! In a recent episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the host admitted he bet on actress Zendaya to win Dancing With The Stars.
The Dune actress competed in DWTS Season 16 when she was just 16 years old. At the time, she was the youngest competitor the show had ever seen. She and her professional dance partner Val Chmerkovskiy finished in second place behind Derek Hough and Kellie Pickler.
Although Zendaya didn’t win her season, she reportedly still won quite a bit of money for Jimmy Kimmel. Keep reading to see what the talk show host had to say.

If you want to make Jimmy Kimmel really happy, just get into the verbal ring with him and fire away with blows high and low.
Kimmel is personally a big-hearted, generous guy with a mostly even temperament. But if invited between the ropes, boy does he like to mix it up.
Maybe it’s the Brooklyn in him (his birth place), because anybody from Brooklyn (in my experience) has a taste for what used to be called a “rank-out contest.”
You toss an insult; you get two back. In the face.
That pretty much defines what we have going on right now: a rank-out contest. Only this isn’t the playground, or even morning-zoo talk radio. It’s a significant development in perhaps the most consequential political campaign in American history.
And it’s a mismatch, as it is always going to be between one genuinely funny person, and another who is…...

Disgraced former congressman George Santos appeared in federal court Thursday afternoon, but for once he wasn’t the defendant. That honor went to Jimmy Kimmel.
The pretrial conference, which Kimmel did not attend, offered a preview of what’s come when/if the case actually goes to trial.
Santos is suing Kimmel, ABC, and Disney for fraud, alleging that Kimmel misrepresented himself when he commissioned over a dozen Cameo videos from Santos in December.
The videos, purchased for $500 a piece, saw Santos reading from outlandish scripts and were aired on Jimmy Kimmel Live! under the rubric of a feature Kimmel dubbed “Will Santos Say It?”
Santos alleges that Kimmel’s on-air use of the videos violated his copyright, and broke Cameo’s terms of service. Santos also argues that Kimmel committed fraud when he used aliases to commission the videos “for the sole purpose of capitalizing on and ridiculing” Santos.
