There was a time comedies ruled Bollywood. From Hrishikesh Mukherjee to Govinda, makers and actors entertained us like crazy for a few decades.
As if to replicate the time and bring in more laughs, filmmaker Fauzia Arshi has managed to rope in not one, or two…. but five comedians for her upcoming venture Hogaya Dimaagh Ka Dahi.
The film takes laughter to its original form with the laughter aces Om Puri, Sanjay Mishra, Raajpal Yadav, Razzaq Khan and the veteran Kader Khan coming together.
Fauzia informs that, “the film is a rollercoaster ride with clean comedy. While it tickles and entertains on one hand, it also brings forth the irony of the changing times. It will make you laugh and think about life, without being preachy.”
Produced by Santosh Bhartiya and Fauzia Arshi, Hogaya Dimaagh Ka Dahi is releasing on October 16, has music, story, dialogues and direction by Fauzia Arshi.

We all know of Madonna shooting to her virgin heights in the West with her chartbuster “Papa Don’t Preach.” The song catapulted the wild-child of Hollywood to hysteric fame with the youth and became an anthem with young westerners for decades to follow.
Now, India’s music wild-child Mika Singh is all set to come out with “Baap Hona Paap” a sort of reverse-engineered song from “Papa Don’t Preach” for the upcoming film Hogaya Dimaagh Ka Dahi (Hdkd).
“It’s a peppy humourous song from a father’s point of view, underlining the irony of things,” says the film’s director-cum-music composer Fauzia Arshi. “Mika sings about the new-age hi-tech, uncontrolled, over-intelligent generation, born into an era with everything is on their finger tips.”
What’s more! Mika will don the caricature avatar in this song which will feature as a fully-animated introductory song of Hdkd.

Mika Singh has become the first singer-caricature in a feature film to have an entire animated song to himself in Fauzia Arshi’s upcoming film Hogaya Dimaagh Ka Dahi (Hdkd).
“The picturisation itself was born out of coincidence. Mika recorded ‘Baap Hona Paap,’ based on a father’s point of view of his kin. I was keen to film it on him as the introductory song,” informs the film’s director-cum-music composer Fauzia Arshi.
“But as Mika was out of town for a few days, I had this idea about getting the entire song made with an animated caricature of Mika and showing it to him as a surprise,” reveals Fauzia. When she did, Mika was head over heels in love with his caricature. So they decided to retain it.

The onscreen and off screen camaraderie between the veteran actor Kader Khan and the legendary Amitabh Bachchan is known to one and all. The very talented Akaash Khurana's son Akarsh Khurana who was very close to filmmaker Bejoy Nambiar has opted out of the film that he, Akarsh, was supposed to direct for Bejoy.
The aborted project was to star Rajkummar Rao, Hussain Dalal, Shikha Talsania and Razaak Khan. Akarsh had also cast his father Akaash Khurana and Shernaz Patel in prominent parts. But since the project is produced by Bejoy Nambiar, Akarsh is in no position to helm the project any more.
Says Akarsh, "The story idea was Bejoy's. But the screenplay was done by Adhir Bhatt, Hussain Dalal and me. It's a road movie about three dysfunctional people on a journey of self-discovery."
Last heard, Bejoy was trying to get another director for the project.
Explaining his reasons for leaving the project, Akarsh says, "We had some differences as a result of which relations were getting strained. I thought it was...

David Dhawan is back! After entertaining the audience for most of the 90s, he somehow lost his way in the last decade. However, teaming up with his son seems to have helped him regain his touch. Main Tera Hero is vintage David Dhawan – very silly and absolutely hilarious.
Seenu (Varun Dhawan) is the quintessential good-for-nothing young man who everybody wants to get rid of. He falls for Sunaina (Illeana D’Cruz) who is bound to marry Angad (Arunoday Singh) against her wishes. Now he has the task of whisking her away from under Angad’s nose as well as save himself from the wrath of gangster Vikrant (Anupam Kher) whose daughter Ayesha (Nargis Fakhri) has fallen in love with him.
Like most Dhawan films, there isn’t much of a story here but lots of funny skits woven together. They keep coming fast one after another and keep you on a perpetual merry high.
