Julianne Hough has one celebrity she believes would be “amazing” in the Dancing With the Stars cast.
ABC recently confirmed Season 33, with the premiere date and cast yet to be revealed.
Celebrity contestants and their professional dance partners typically get unveiled a month before the season begins.
However, that hasn’t stopped fans from demanding specific dancers return to the show or calling out celebs they want to participate.
Julianne, a former DWTS pro dancer and judge, is now the show’s co-host alongside Alfonso Ribeiro.
While she may need to remain neutral once the competition begins, she said there’s one individual she’s “rooting for” to appear in an upcoming DWTS cast.
Julianne Hough reveals her ‘dream’ competitor for DWTS
While it seems that Julianne will return for DWTS Season 33, along with host Ribeiro and judges Bruno Tonioli and Carrie-Ann Inaba, it’s unknown who else is in the cast.

“The Talk” is going silent. CBS is ending the long-running daytime chat show, which will get an abbreviated final season (its 15th) this fall, before signing off for good with what it’s calling a “celebratory sendoff” in December.
Rumors of the show’s end have been swirling for months, but CBS made it official to the show’s cast and crew on Friday morning. The news comes as CBS and the NAACP are developing a new daytime soap opera under their content partnership, “The Gates,” a partnership with P&g Studios, a division of Procter & Gamble. “The Gates,” which “follows the lives of a wealthy Black family in a posh, gated community,” is seen as a potential replacement for “The Talk.”

With CBS in “accelerated development” on “The Gates,” which, if picked up to series, would become the network’s first new daytime soap opera since launching “The Bold and the Beautiful” in 1987, many in the entertainment industry have questioned what that means for “The Talk,” the daytime talk show that replaced the long-running drama series “As The World Turns,” which concluded its run after more than 54 years on the network in September 2010.
Currently in its 14th season, “The Talk” ranks as the third most watched daytime talk show, behind only ABC’s “The View” and syndicated talker “Live with Kelly and Mark.” Despite that, the show is currently down double digits among Total Viewers and the key Women 18-49 sales demographic, often ranking at the bottom half in both categories among all daytime broadcast shows and has remained CBS’ least-watched and lowest-rated daytime series overall since it premiered in October 2010.

The Dancing With the Stars judge and former professional dancer for the longtime competition show also participates in a dance tour called Derek Hough: Symphony of Dance.
The news of Hough’s return comes several months after his wife Hayley Erbert’s health scare during the tour.
However, Hough did not reveal if his wife would be part of the tour as she continues her recovery efforts.

Dancing With the Stars did away with its judges’ save, with little fanfare, during Season 32 — and now we know why it was missing.
Speaking at the Television Critics Association’s winter press tour, executive producer Deena Katz told TVLine that the judges’ save — which had been in place since Season 28 — was, at least in the eyes of Dancing‘s creative team, diminishing the impact of viewers’ votes.

Last week, shockingly no one was eliminated from “Dancing with the Stars,” for the first time ever leaving five finalists to compete for the Len Goodman Mirror Ball Trophy: actress Xochitl Gomez, actress Alyson Hannigan, “The Bachelorette” alum Charity Lawson, “Vanderpump Rules” star Ariana Madix and singer-songwriter Jason Mraz. So what happens when those five perform their last two competitive routines on “Finale” night? Scroll down for our live blog with all the minute-by-minute developments and commentary as the night progresses.
First up is a redemption round in which the celebrities will perform new routines in a style they previously learned, but which could have used some improvement. Jason will tackle the foxtrot which he previously performed on “Disney100 Night,” landing them third on the judges’ leaderboard. What is it about “Bachelorettes” on “Dancing with the Stars”? They’re generally pretty great at dancing, and their popularity is through the roof. Will Charity Lawson be the latest to prevail on the show? She would be the third “Bachelorette” alumna in five seasons to claim the Len Goodman Mirror Ball Trophy.
In season 28 Hannah Brown, partnered with pro Alan Bersten, claimed the Mirror Ball Trophy. The very next year in season 29 the prize went to Kaitlyn Bristowe, who was teamed up with Artem Chigvintsev. Those were the first US Mirror Ball victories for both Bersten and Chigvintsev, so having a “Bachelorette” by your side is undeniably good luck.

As the first full week of December arrives, the customary end-of-year expressions of “Where did the time go?” come with it. This year has been highly consequential in the future of TV, as cord-cutters will outnumber pay-tv subscribers for the first time, and new deals for Hollywood’s top writers’ and actors’ unions will keep new TV episodes and movies coming for the next three years at least.
The approach of the holidays can lead to some manic weekdays, filled with meal planning, relatives who want attention and of course, gift shopping. Luckily, there are some fantastic new shows and movies heading to streaming this week to help take your mind off the holiday madness!

The hottest reality TV stars in show business gathered on Wednesday to celebrate Variety’s inaugural Women of Reality TV power list, presented by DirecTV. Honoring the 40 most powerful women in unscripted entertainment, the Bravo elite mingled with real estate flippers, dancers, judges, singers, survivors, amazing racers and those just looking for love.
Despite being at capacity with women known for delivering on drama, the conversation often revolved around the realities of being vulnerable with the world. And for just one night, everyone was there for the right reasons.
Snacking on caviar potato puffs and Spago’s salmon pizza, the honorees gathered for a cocktail party before the dinner. An elated Heidi D’Amelio of “The D’Amelios” snapped a selfie with “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Teresa Giudice, who flew in for the celebration with husband Luis Ruelas. This article contains spoilers for the Nov. 28 episode of “Dancing With the Stars”
Five couples went into Season 32 semi-finals “Dancing With the Stars” on Tuesday night, with only four slated to compete in the finale next week. But in a major twist, no one went home Tuesday night.
The final contestant’s slot came down to high scorers Ariana Madix and Xochitl Gomez and, to their enormous surprise, fans had voted them both through to the finale.
Alyson Hannigan, who ended the night with the lowest judges’ scores, was so convinced she was going home that she told partner Sasha Ferber after their elegant Waltz,” If that’s my last dance with you, I just want to tell you I just love you so much.” Hough said Hannigan’s the dance, set to “Come Away With Me.” “Comwas her best dance to date and Carrie Ann Inaba praised her “emotional vulnerability.

It’s the semi-finals, and boy does it feel like eons ago when poor Matt Walsh crashed and burned after only one night in the ballroom. Imagine if he had stayed and Harry Jowsey kicked the bucket early, instead! Oh, the laughs we would have had from the droll Veep star.

“Dancing with the Stars” underwent a couple of big changes going into its 32nd season in 2023. After streaming exclusively on Disney+, the show returned to its original home on ABC (though still simulcast on the streaming service). So who was sent home from the competition when and for which dances? Below, see the complete results of “DWTS” season 32, updated every week as additional couples are sent home.

Admit it: you started this episode knowing who was going to go home, right?
If you are a true student of Dancing with the Stars, you should be able to predict the order in which the celebs are given the boot. Sure, there is the occasional misstep; many of you thought Barry Williams would be toast long ago, but the chipper senior actually made it to week 8, along with the inexplicably fortunate Harry Jowsey.
Williams is gone now, but Jowsey is not. Will his great luck finally run out tonight?
But wait! I should be saving space for the real star of the ballroom — Taylor Swift! Alas, the recording star didn’t show up in her Danskins. Instead, we got her music, her choregrapher Mandy Moore as a guest judge, and a pre-taped sorry y’all from Tay Tay herself: “I so wish I could be there, but I’m on tour in Brazil.

ABC’s Dancing with the Stars honors one of the hottest stars on the planet, Taylor Swift, with an episode featuring some of her greatest hits. Subsequently, her Eras Tour choreographer, Mandy Moore, will join the judging panel to offer her “Taylor-made” critiques of the remaining six couples.
How many of Taylor Swift’s songs will be used on ‘Dancing with the Stars?’
Dancing with the Stars has kept the songs featured during Taylor Swift night on the down low. However, there are some facts that Showbiz Cheat Sheet does know.
Taylor Swift Night will feature each of the six remaining couples dancing individually and three relay dances with another pair. That means nine songs from Taylor’s catalog should be performed.
While it is likely that many of Taylor Swift’s more popular songs will be heard, the series could also surprise fans with a few lesser-known tracks during the performances.

“Vanderpump Rules” star Ariana Madix went into “Dancing With the Stars” with a solid wave of support, thanks to Bravo fans who have rallied around the reality star who discovered her boyfriend Tom Sandoval was cheating on her last season.
But it’s not just fans keeping her in the ABC dancing competition: Madix has won over the judges with her dancing — and that “seamless” Britney Spears “I’m a Slave 4 U” routine. She’s been at or near the top of the leaderboard for most of Season 32 so far and been told by the judges that she could be the one to take home the Mirrorball Trophy.
The reality star insisted she’s “not special” in having had her heart broken or in working around the clock, even if both those things have endeared her to viewers. TheWrap spoke to Madix ahead of Tuesday’s Taylor Swift Night performance,...

I thought for sure Barry Williams would survive elimination on “Dancing with the Stars” after his two gutsy performances on “Whitney Houston Night.” The 69-year-old “Brady Bunch” actor performed a rumba with pro partner Peta Murgatroyd and then went bare-chested for his salsa in a dance-off against musician Jason Mraz. But despite winning that dance-off in an upset and thus moving up a spot on the judges’ leaderboard, his viewer votes weren’t enough to keep him in the competition. The seven remaining couples delivered big time on Tuesday’s (November 14) Dancing With the Stars, which paid tribute to Whitney Houston with a night of stunning performances. Special guest Billy Porter joined the judges, Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough, and Bruno Tonioli, to watch and score the routines, which included a perfect set of 10s for The Baby-Sitters Club star Xochitl Gomez and her partner, Val Chmerkovskiy. After two hours of impressive performances, America voted on which couples they wanted to see move on to next week’s Taylor Swift-themed show. With the judges’ scores combined with the viewers’ votes, it left Barry Williams & Peta Murgatroyd, Jason Mraz & Daniella Karagach, and Charity Lawson & Artem Chigvintsev in the bottom three. Visiting celebrities who sit next to Dancing With the Stars judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough, and Bruno Tonioli always bring enthusiasm to their role. But not all of them bring what Paula Abdul did earlier this week – experience and knowledge not only about the world of dance but DWTS, specifically. “I love this show,” Abdul told TV Insider on the post-show press line. “I’m a big fan. Even if I’m traveling, I’ll go back and watch it on tape.” Artem Chigvintsev raved about Abdul’s critiques. “She knows what she’s talking about,” the pro dancer said. “She comes from such different parts of the world; she’s a dancer, she’s a choreographer, she’s a performer… She knows it all. She’s been through it all.” Abdul didn’t hesitate to raise a paddle with a different number on it than the show’s regular trio of judges did.

“Dancing with the Stars” Season 32 is back and it’s a bit different Season 31 — including having a new (old) home. Here’s everything to know about the season.
Where is “Dancing with the Stars” Season 32 airing?
ABC and Disney+. That’s right. After one season exclusively on Disney+, “Dancing” returned to ABC for Season 32, which will also stream live on Disney+. It is the first series to be simulcast on ABC and Disney+. Episodes will also be available the next day on Hulu.
“I’m very happy we’re back on ABC,” Derek Hough told TV Insider in June. “I think it was fantastic that we moved to Disney+ for a season. It did great, but I think that there’s definitely [still] an audience on ABC, a very loyal audience that may have missed out on last season. It’s groundbreaking in that I’ll be on both platforms as the same time.

The news of one of Dancing With the Stars‘ upcoming nights shouldn’t be surprising, given the popularity of Taylor Swift. Couples, along with their dance styles and songs, will be announced at a later date. As always, fans will be able to vote during the live simulcast of the show in the Est/Cst time zones. Landing at the bottom of the judges’ leaderboard hasn’t been that big a problem for contestants this season on “Dancing with the Stars.” Out of the six eliminations so far, only two of them actually got the lowest score of the night for their dances. Yet again on “Monster Night,” the ousted celebrity came from the middle of the leaderboard. Did “real Housewives” star Mauricio Umansky deserve to exit the competition for his tango? Watch it above, and vote in our poll at the bottom of this post.
From regular judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough and Bruno Tonioli, Umansky’s Argentine tango with pro partner Emma Slater scored eights, the same scores they gave him on “Most Memorable Year Night” for a contemporary routine that they thought was his best of the season up to that point. Guest judge Niecy Nash-Betts gave him a seven — who’d have...

[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for Dancing with the Stars] The remaining nine couples on Dancing with the Stars got in the Halloween spirit for “Monster Night.” After last week’s surprising elimination of Mira Sorvino and Gleb Savchenko, the duos knew they needed to bring some frightfully good routines to the ballroom to survive in the competition. ABC Those left not only had to impress Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Toniolli, and Derek Hough with their content, footwork, holds, etc. An added treat was actress and season 10 celeb Niecy Nash-Betts, who served as a guest judge in a hot Af Jessica Rabbit costume. Wardrobe, hair, and makeup once again brought it with some killer looks for the occasion. Along with their normal dances, couples competed in the “Dance Monster-thon” for bonus points. The dancers had to learn the Hustle and Charleston for “Stayin’ Alive” from the Bee Gees and “Grim Grinning Ghosts” from Kris Bowers. Judges’ scores and viewer...

This article contains spoilers for the Oct. 31 episode of “Dancing With the Stars”
The nine remaining couples on “Dancing With the Stars” hit the dance floor in costume as vampires, werewolves and skeletons on Tuesday night, which also happened to be Halloween.
The season’s first dance marathon gave the points edge to Marvel star Xochitl Gomez, who had been tied at the top of the leaderboard with “Vanderpump Rules” star Ariana Madix after their solo dances.
For her gothic Argentine Tango, Madix was a harpy and Pasha Pashkov was a harpy slayer as they danced to an instrumental version of “Bad Guy” by Billie Eilish. Guest judge Niecy Nash proclaimed it was “amazing” and “so beautiful,” adding, “I am obsessed with you.”Bruno Tonioli raved, “This is how you do it!” of the note-perfect dance. Carrie Ann Inaba told Pons, “I think you have what it takes to win it.
