One of the most anticipated prequel films of all time has to be George Miller‘s Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga. After the initial announcement back in 2010, the anticipation for the film only grew after the release of Mad Max: Fury Road in 2015, and nearly 9 years later the film we have all been waiting for is finally here and I am really happy to say that it will exceed everyone’s expectations.
Based on the characters from Mad Max: Fury Road by Miller, the prequel film is directed by Miller from a screenplay co-written by Nico Lathouris and Miller and it follows the story of a young Furiosa as she is snatched from Green Place of Many Mothers and handed over to the great biker horde’s warlord Dementus as they make their way through the Wasteland and come across the Citadel ruled by Immortan Joe. The prequel film we have all been waiting for is finally here and I am really happy to say that it is as brilliant and bombastic as the original film. Obviously, we are talking about Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, the prequel to George Miller‘s 2015 Mad Max: Fury Road. Directed by Miller from a screenplay by Nico Lathouris and Miller, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga follows the story of a young Furiosa as she is taken from Green Place of Many Mothers and tries to survive in the wasteland while trying to get back home but the war between great biker horde’s warlord Dementus and Immortan Joe makes it harder. Replacing Charlize Theron from Fury Road, Anya Taylor-Joy takes over the role of Furiosa in the prequel film and it also stars Chris Hemsworth, Tom Burke, Lachy Hulme, John Howard, Angus Sampson, and Nathan Jones. So,...

Australian filmmaker George Miller has been described as both a genius and a visionary. He seems to know how to make a great project and his fame began in 1979, when he introduced the world to the first movie from the Mad Max franchise, a cult classic series that initially starred Mel Gibson in the titular role before he was replaced by Tom Hardy in Fury Road. As we all know, the franchise continued with a fifth movie, a prequel titled Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, which explores the origins of Imperator Furiosa, a character introduced in Fury Road. The movie received a long-standing ovation at Cannes this year, and it was finally released in cinemas on May 23, 2024.
Is the movie any good? Should yo go watch it? The early Cannes reviews were all for it, but we can now confirm that the movie is an absolute hit with both critics and fans,...

Developed by Bungie, Halo: Combat Evolved is the game that jumpstarted Xbox’s tenure in the games industry, inextricably linking it to the green-armored Master Chief and his fight against the Covenant.
However, the game’s development was far from smooth, filled with late-stage changes and frantic efforts to meet deadlines. A recent interview with Combat Evolved‘s original developers sheds light on a particularly dramatic near-miss – the potential removal of the now-iconic Scorpion Tank mission.

George Miller, the director of Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, is revisiting the on-set drama between Charlize Theron and Tom Hardy in his 2015 film Mad Max: Fury Road.
In a new interview, Miller recalled the feud between the stars during the film’s production, which resulted from Hardy’s tardiness.
“They were just two very different performers,” Miller told The Telegraph. “Tom has a damage to him but also a brilliance that comes with it, and whatever was going on with him at the time, he had to be coaxed out of his trailer. Whereas Charlize was incredibly disciplined – a dancer by training, which told in the precision of her performance – and always the first one on set.”
Miller noted that things on the set gradually got better, adding, “I’m an optimist, so I saw their behavior as mirroring their characters, where they had to learn to cooperate in order to ensure mutual survival.

The delightful Colin From Accounts is back for season 2, and the first trailer has landed. It’s right here, in fact.
Colin From Accounts was one of the most wonderful surprises of 2022. Written by and starring real life husband and wife Harriet Dyer and Patrick Brammall, the warm hearted Australian sitcom follows the story of Gordon and Ashley, who meet when she flashes him while she’s crossing the street, causing him to lose concentration and run over a dog.
Deciding to care for him rather than have him put down, the two gradually get to know and, eventually, like each other while looking after the dog they call Colin From Accounts.
The synopsis for series 2 reads as follows:
After Gordon (Brammall) and Ashley (Dyer) are brought together in season one by a spontaneous nipple flash and the subsequent accident that injured the titular (no pun intended) dog, season two...

But did you know Chris’ brother Liam was also one of the contenders?
Yes, you read it right! Liam Hemsworth was also considered to be cast as Thor in the MCU movies. Liam had auditioned and impressed the makers, which made Chris Hemsworth jealous of his brother. The Extraction actor revealed the same in a new interview.

Despite allegedly scaring Alfred Hitchcock with his yelling, James Stewart really did live up to his polite everyman reputation. He's one of the biggest stars in Hollywood history and yet retained humility throughout his decades-long career, even finding time to rise up the ranks of the military and fight in World War II between starring in some of the biggest movies of his day. He passed away in 1997 having built a career full of classic movie moments and never once tarnished his reputation as a class act (Hitchcock probably deserved some dressing down). In fact, beyond being self-effacing, Stewart was known for being quite shy off-screen — a trait that, every now and then, would seemingly trip him up on set.

“All this for a family squabble,” sighs the Bullet Farmer (Richard Carter), the leader of one of several tribes chasing our heroes in Mad Max: Fury Road. He’s talking, of course, about the film’s main conflict: the ruthless warlord Immortan Joe’s attempt to recapture his fleeing wives from our heroes, Imperator Furiosa (Charlize Theron) and Mad Max (Tom Hardy). And the Bullet Farmer, as crazy as he is, is technically right: This is a family squabble — one that eventually consumes all the many tribes of this futuristic hellscape. But it’s kind of an odd line to throw in there. When I first heard it, I thought he was talking about something else — that maybe there was some backstory to this world that involved a divided family. (Immortan Joe, the Bullet Farmer, and the leader of a third tribe, the grotesque People Eater, played by John Howard,...

'Mad Max: Fury Road' poster with Tom Hardy as Max Rockatansky 'Mad Max: Fury Road' review: 'A good movie on its own terms' Mad Max, the first feature film of director George Miller and the second for the then 23-year-old Mel Gibson, premiered in North America in Feb. 1980. I was 17 years old, crazy about cars and revenge movies, and generally ripe for the picking. Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior, followed in 1981, deepening devotees' affection for the character and his car. Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome (1985), was the third film in the series and was equally anticipated, though it has worn over time. It co-starred the Silent Dancer herself, Tina Turner, and her current hit of the day, the name of which I cannot remember and don't want to look.* I saw each of them at the time of its respective North American release and relished in them all. Yet I...

The summer is here, and with the arrival of Avengers: Age of Ultron, and Jurassic World right around the corner, the heat is really kicking up. Still, no movie has had me as excited as Mad Max: Fury Road.
The trailers have been insane, and no movie in years has sold me so quickly with the theory of wild, adrenaline-rush like this one.
You’ve seen plenty in the trailers to get your mind racing, but the new set of images really give you a lot of information (I think) about how cool this really might be.
Just take a look at this one –
courtesy Warner Bros.
Sure, you’ve seen the idea in the trailer, but just the sheer insanity of everything in this image. If this movie doesn’t turn out to be the most fun of the year, that in itself will be a feat.

We’re halfway through April dear readers, and that means the summer movie season is closer than ever. On this week’s Trailer Trashin’, I take another look at one of my most anticipated films of the year, George Miller’s action extravaganza Mad Max: Fury Road.
Premise: In a post-apocalyptic wasteland, loner “Mad” Max Rockatansky (Tom Hardy) meets Imperator Furiosa (Charlize Theron), a woman who wishes to cross the desert. Captured by the forces of warlord Immortan Joe (Hugh Keays-Byrne), Max’s only hope for freedom is Furiosa, who is on the run from Immortan Joe because she stole his most precious resource: five young women who have been kept as objects and whose purpose is to mother the next generation. They need Max’s knowledge of the desert to safely cross it and escape the madness of their enemies.
My take: The trailer kicks off with Max, who...

The Meaa is lobbying MPs to block any government moves to reform the system of approving visas for foreign actors and crew to work in Australian taxpayer-subsidised screen productions.
