“American Horror Story: Delicate” Part 2 appears to be full steam ahead thanks to Emma Roberts and Kim Kardashian enjoying a kiss in the just-released video trailer (watch below). FX’s horror anthology series returns on Wednesday, April 3 with the first of its final four episodes of Season 12. Note that “AHS” was split into two parts for this installment because of the writers’ and actors’ strikes that shuttered Hollywood for much of the 2023 calendar year.
The first five episodes of “American Horror Story: Delicate” aired in September-October, telling the story of an up-and-coming actress named Anna Victoria Alcott (Roberts) who’s campaigning on the awards circuit while dealing with supernatural pregnancy issues. Kardashian plays her foul-mouthed publicist, Siobhan Corbyn, and Matt Czuchry takes on the role of her husband, Dex Harding. In the new clip, Siobhan seems surprised to see Anna chomping on an animal bone.

Dheepa Chari: Some New Fashion (Dheepa Chari)
A young New York singer releasing her first full-length (after an Ep I haven't heard), Chari is part of the new breed of jazzers who are looking beyond standards for their repertoire. Not that other jazzers haven't already covered the Beatles (she sings "Here, There, and Everywhere") or Billy Joel (in my youth I heard Count Basie play "Just the Way You Are," which not only closes this album but also gives it its title), but I bet she's the first to take on Depeche Mode's "World in My Eyes" and Linkin Park's "Shadow of the Day." The funny thing is, as much as I was ready to look down my nose on the latter choice, it works beautifully, thanks not only to her vocal delivery but to Vikas Hebbar's lovely arrangement, which features violin and muted trumpet.

Joe Henderson always had the respect of fellow musicians and hardcore jazz fanatics, but for a long time it seemed the closest he'd get to fame was his brief stint in Blood, Sweat & Tears (years later he reminisced, in one of my favorite interviews, about how that short period was when sax companies wanted his endorsement and gave him free horns). Hardly fair considering that he spent a quarter century ranked among the top three tenor saxophonists alive, along with Rollins and Shorter. Then, almost miraculously, Verve put together a masterful production/promotion campaign that made him more famous in his last decade than he'd ever been before. Alas, emphysema took him at age 64, but he'd managed to leave an impressive legacy with nary a misstep -- he never made a bad album, and his appearance on anyone else's album was always a mark of quality. (Why is Ptah, the...

The first annual Indie Game Challenge wrapped up this past Friday and over $200,000 was awarded in prize money to the winners.
Steam punk puzzle game Cogs won the day with three different awards including Best Professionally Made Game with a prize of $100,000. Lazy 8 Studios, the developer of Cogs is a three man team and hopefully these awards will help them continue to develop more great titles.
After the ceremony, the Indie Game Challenge announced their plans for next year’s iteration of the contest. Hopefully they consider adding more categories for awards, simply so they can garner attention for a greater body of independent titles.
Other winners include 2D puzzle platformer Gear and multiplayer aerial shooter Altitude.
Here’s the offical list:
Non-professional $100,000 Grand Prize Winner: Gear
