As one of millions of cancer patients, we do our best not to let this insidious disease control us. I find bliss in each day.
Somers’ husband, Alan Hamel, shared in an interview she has been dealing with health-related issues, following concerns from fans who hadn’t seen her on her Facebook Live shows recently. Hamel explained that her absence was due to the 76-year-old taking on another fight against cancer.
“I have been living with cancer for decades now, using the best of alternative and conventional medicine to keep it at bay,” Somers shared with TheWrap in a statement. “Every time that little f–ker pops up, I continue to bat it back. As one of millions of cancer patients, we do our best not to let this insidious disease control us. I find bliss in each day.

Actress, author and spokesmodel Suzanne Somers gently confronted a naked home intruder who appeared while she was streaming a makeup tutorial from her Palm Springs, Calif. home.
The 74-year-old Somers was on Facebook Live Friday evening when the incident occurred. She paused during the recording and told nearby husband, Alan Hamel, that she heard strange noises off-camera.
While Hamel assured, “It’s just a frog,” Somers turned to her left after hearing more noise and viewed the intruder, who remained off-camera during their conversation. The intruder was described as “near-naked” in reports.
Somers was calm and spoke gently to the intruder, who said that he was “terrified’ of something. I’m not even sure…there were ghosts following me.”
The intruder identified himself as Aaron Carpenter, and asked Somers if she had ever heard of him. He claimed to have been led to the Somers home by a friend.

Since she beat breast cancer back in the early 2000s, Suzanne Somers hasn't been afraid to speak out about her alternative (and sometimes controversial) approach to cancer treatments. And, in a new interview with Us Weekly, the 71-year-old actress candidly opened up about what might be her most unique post-cancer health decision yet — having a "regrown breast." When Suzanne was diagnosed with Stage II breast cancer in April 2000, she chose to undergo a lumpectomy and radiation but refused chemotherapy. Later, when she wanted a breast reconstruction, the Three's Company star opted to regenerate breast tissue using stem cell growth — the procedure is known as cell-assisted lipotransfer — instead of getting an implant. "Do you know what’s interesting about this?" Suzanne asked Us Weekly at the Carousel of Hope Ball in Beverly Hills, CA on Saturday, Oct. 6. "This is a regrown breast. This is really mine. I went 11 years without a breast on this side.

Suzanne Somers tells the ladies of "The Talk" she has sex multiple times a day with her husband Alan Hamel.
The 61-year-old is arguably better known these days for pimping biodentical hormones than for her iconic "Three's Company" pigtails and Thighmaster infomercials. And she says those very hormones keep her love life revved up.
When asked about the frequency of bedroom time in the Somers-Hamel household, Suzanne says, "He's on hormones and I'm on hormones ... a couple times a day?" (Perhaps the better question is, why do we need to know this?)
Never one to be shy, Somers spills extra details about her daily encounters with Hamel. "What is it about men at four in the morning?" she asks. "There's some love at four in the morning and then I'm really awake at eight or so ... we have busy mornings."
