"We have to bring him back." Saban Films has released an official trailer for an action movie sequel titled Rogue Warfare: The Hunt, from the same director as the first Rogue Warfare movie that opened last year – Mike Gunther. The stuntman-turned-filmmaker continues the story with the elite team of soldiers, but this time they have to rescue one of their own. Their leader, Daniel, is captured by terrorists and they must find and rescue him before it's too late. Of course. There couldn't be a more jingoistic plot than that. Will Yun Lee stars, with Jermaine Love, Rory Markham, Bertrand-Xavier Corbi, Katie Keene, Fernando Chien, Chris Mulkey, Essam Ferris, + an appearance by Stephen Lang. Lock 'n load, ya'll. Saban Films has released the first trailer for an upcoming action thriller called Rogue Warfare. The film comes with the tagline, “when global threats rise up, one team answer the call” and that team is not the Avengers.
The movie follows “a group of skilled military elite from the U.S., Russia, UK, China and France join forces to fight an elite underground terrorist network.” It looks like a solid film worth checking out, but I enjoy movies like this.
Rogue Warfare comes from made stuntman/filmmaker Mike Gunther and this is supposed to be the first in a trilogy of films. The movie stars Will Yun Lee, Jermaine Love, Rory Markham, Bertrand-Xavier Corbi, Katie Keene, Fernando Chien, Gina Decesare, Michael Blalock, Mike McKee, Essam Ferris, with Chris Mulkey and Stephen Lang.

"We don't know what we're walking into!" Saban Films has debuted an official trailer for an action movie titled Rogue Warfare, made by stuntman / filmmaker Mike Gunther. This is supposedly part of a trilogy of movies called the Rogue Warfare trilogy, but seems to be just a solo offering so far. The synopsis is rather vague - it only states that Rogue Warfare is about a group of skilled military elite who join forces to fight an underground terrorist network. This stars Will Yun Lee, Jermaine Love, Rory Markham, Bertrand-Xavier Corbi, Katie Keene, Fernando Chien, Gina Decesare, Michael Blalock, Mike McKee, Essam Ferris, with Chris Mulkey and Stephen Lang. This really looks like one big action extravaganza with literally no plot, since these kind of jingoistic movies only really need guns and explosions, and no plot. Here's the first official trailer (+ poster) for Mike Gunther's Rogue Warfare, from Saban's YouTube...

Another feature trilogy, The Rogue Warfare Trilogy, financed by Ingenious and sold worldwide by Highland Film Group and 5150 Action Productions is in the midst of production, with stunt coordinator turned director Mike Gunther filming all three movies at the same time. Will Yun Lee is headlining what is a multi-national, special forces action/drama. We now know that the first of these three films will be released in March 2019 and conversations have begun with a major studio for theatrical release around March 2019.
The project was written by Gunther, Andrew Emilio DeCesare and Michael Day. This trilogy is the first 5150 Action Production, completely manifested in house from script to final product. Interestingly, Lee teamed up with his reps Zero Gravity to produce a slate of diverse projects with a focus on Asian American content.

Composers Andy Grush and Taylor Stewart, aka The Newton Brothers, score Stx Entertainment’s supernatural horror thriller, The Bye Bye Man.
The film stars Douglas Smith, Lucien Laviscount, Cressida Bonas and Doug Jones. Directed by Stacy Title and written by Jonathan Penner, “The Bye Bye Man” follows the story of three college students move into an old, off-campus house. They quickly find themselves hunted by a supernatural entity called The Bye Bye Man who may be responsible for possessing various people and causing them to commit killing sprees throughout recent history. The students discover the origins of the Bye Bye Man and find that there is only one way to avoid his curse: don’t say or think his name, because once the Bye Bye Man gets inside your head, he takes control.
Bye Bye Man opens in theatres on January 13, 2016. The soundtrack album featuring the score is available on Sony Classical.

We’re back again with another Movie of the Day and once again this week we’re focusing on blinkbox’s Free content. Today’s film, available without subscription, is a fantastic modern Dtv action flick, Beatdown.
Starring some of the greatest Mma stars, Beatdown follows respected street fighter Brandon Becker (Rudy Youngblood), who finds himself in debt to the mob and running for his life. Taking refuge at his fathers place (Danny Trejo) he soon gets involved in the local underground cage-fighting scene. With the help of a former Mma champion (Michael Bisping) he plans to settle his debts.
In the simplest of terms, Beatdown is the Mma version of Never Back Down, complete with town bully, underground fight scene and underdog hero – and actually that’s not a bad thing – the story works well, despite some obvious plot holes (the heroes’ brothers death being the biggest) and the...

The best Fast and Furious film is finally available on Blu-ray and has tons of things for action junkies to love. After four films about trading pinks with bad guys this latest installment, “Fast Five,” really took the franchise in a bigger, badder and ballsier direction. I have never been a huge fan of the other films, enjoying them as decent guilty pleasure fare, but this movie was an action film lovers dream. A heist film at its core it felt more like “Italian Job 2″ than a F&F film. I especially loved a car chase pulling a vault through Rio de Janeiro, a great fight between Diesel and the Rock and there of course is slight bits of comedy too.
Director Justin Lin and director of photography Stephen F. Windon did a phenomenal job transforming Puerto Rico into a feux version of Rio de Janeiro and the 1080p presentation of every car zooming,...

Stars: Bruce Willis, Ryan Phillippe, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Jenna Dewan-Tatum | Written by Mike Gunther, Mike Behrman | Directed by Mike Gunther
It is a fine and sunny day in Los Angeles, just like every day in Los Angeles, a sprawling metropolis testament to human ambition and resolute failure. Somewhere downtown, a broad-shouldered rapper-cum-actor emerges from an SUV and approaches a non-descript building. He nods at the receptionist then takes the lift to the fourth floor. Curtis ‘50 Cent’ Jackson strolls into his agent’s office, the world at his feet and creativity oozing from his every pore.
“Fiddy!” shrieks his agent, a small, balding and tanned white man. “How can I help my favourite client today?”
Curtis ‘50 Cent’ Jackson sits in a chair opposite his agent’s desk and eyeballs the man for a few seconds before speaking in articulate and measured tones. “Lenny. I need to do another movie.”

Fast Five Blu-Ray Combo Pack Universal Home Entertainment 2011/130 & 132 mins/Rated & Unrated List Price: $34.99 – Available October 4, 2011 A lot can change in a decade. Is the Fast and the Furious series really that old? I remember on April 28, 2001, exactly ten years ago, I got the chance to see the first installment in what has become a money making franchise. This was actually the original date the film was to be released, but Universal Pictures felt they had a summer hit on their hands and pushed it back to Friday June 22. Yet I got the chance to see the pic two months early through one of those market research groups. I'll admit it, I found the film rather underwhelming. After seeing trailers for the feature through much of the Winter, I thought Rob Cohen had made a nice little crime thriller. Twenty minutes into the film, the thing took a 180 for me when...

Thanks to Quentin Tarantino's Pulp Fiction and Guy Ritchie's Snatch, the smart-ass crime movie has turned into a genre of its own. Young writers/filmmakers want to recreate the magic of John Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson shooting people's kneecaps and talking about the Big Mac vs. a Royale with Cheese. In Setup, it is clear that director Mike Gunther wants to make a movie with great action, dark humor, and quotable dialogue, and he has quite a lot working in his favor. Unfortunately, all of these positive elements stumble due to poor direction and an unoriginal story.

Boccaccio ’70 (1962)
Synopsis: Four legendary filmmakers direct some of Europe’s biggest stars in Boccaccio ’70, a landmark anthology film. Mario Monicelli (Big Deal on Madonna Street), Federico Fellini (8½), Luchino Visconti (The Leopard) and Vittorio De Sica (Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow) direct Sophia Loren, Anita Ekberg, Romy Schneider and more through four stories of unashamed eros. Modeled on Boccaccio’s Decameron, they are comic moral tales about the hypocrisies surrounding sex in 1960s Italy. Monicelli’s “Renzo e Luciana” (cut out of the original American release) is a frothy tale of young love and office politics in the big city. Fellini’s notorious “Le tentazioni del dottor Antonio” features Ekberg as a busty model in a milk advertisement whose image begins to haunt an aging prude. Visconti’s “Il Lavoro” stars Romy Schneider as a trophy wife enduring her husband’s very public affairs,...

Who would’ve thought Bruce Willis would be heading straight-to-dvd (and Blu-ray)? On September 20th, The Set-Up starring Willis, 50 Cent, and Ryan Phillipe is doing just that, according to Lgf.
Former friends are pitted against one another after a diamond heist goes wrong. Betrayed, Sonny (Jackson) takes matters into his own hands when he partners with a notorious mob boss (Willis) to seek revenge against his former ally who took off with his loot. But when Sonny finally comes face to face with the man he’s been hunting, he’s forced to make a life-altering decision.
An edge-of-your-seat action film, the DVD and Blu-ray Disc release also includes audio commentary with co-writer/director Mike Gunther (Beatdown), a “making of” featurette and a weapons featurette plus interviews with the cast and crew. Set Up explodes onto DVD and Blu-ray Disc on September 20th.

I have no idea where this movie, Setup, came from, it just seemed to pop up out from out of no where. The film stars Bruce Willis, Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson, Ryan Phillippe and Randy Couture. The film was directed by stuntman Mike Gunther, and the story follows a group of friends who become involved in a potentially deadly diamond heist. The movie honestly doesn't look that good. Maybe I'll end up watching it late one night next year when it’s on HBO.

Curtis Jackson, aka 50 Cent, isn't going to stop acting any time soon. And by the looks of his two most recent trailers -- one for Things Fall Apart and this one for Setup -- he might not start making good movies any time soon, either. While Things Fall Apart looked like a saccharine feel-good drama gone horribly wrong, Setup looks like a heist thriller...gone horribly wrong. The film also stars Bruce Willis and Ryan Phillippe, both of whom look like they're dragged down into the suck right alongside Mr. Jackson. See how much you can take, after the break. Randy Couture, James Remar and Jenna Dewan are also in the film, which was directed by longtime stuntman Mike Gunther. He has also made some behind the scenes features for films like Ghost Rider and Live Free or Die Hard. The latter is your key to the presence of Bruce Willis,...

So, here’s the trailer for that 50 Cent/Bruce Willis pairing that I know you all have been waiting anxiously for… it’s an action flick titled Set Up.
Ryan Phillippe also co-stars in this heist film written and directed by Mike Gunther.
The film was produced under that 10-picture, $200 million agreement that Jackson and his Cheetah Vision production company are in cahoots with George Furla’s Hedge Fund Film Partners on.
Set Up centers on a group of friends who find themselves in the middle of a deadly diamond heist. Looks like there’s some double-crossing and some other stuff. This is probably a DVD release.

Wrestlers, fighters and boxers may not always make the best actors, but as action movie henchmen go, there.s really no one better. They.re very familiar with hand to hand combat, they.re usually great at making menacing faces and you know if a stunt goes awry, they know how to take a punch. If they can deliver a few lines properly, that.s just an added bonus. Randy Couture made the most out of his lines in The Expendables, as well as his time on The Unit, and in doing so, earned himself another shot. Yes, the Natural will be back for the sequel to The Expendables, but according to THR, he.s also attracted the interest of another production. Casting has been well under way for awhile now on Mike Gunther.s Set Up. with Ryan Philippe, Bruce Willis and 50 Cent having already boarded, but now they...

Channing Tatum and wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum are taking a quick break from producing and filming ‘Ten Year‘, their first movie together since ‘Step Up‘, to spend time with their family for the holidays. Above are a few new pics of the couple getting in some last minute gift shopping in Los Angeles on December 23rd.
Before Jenna began filming ‘Ten Year‘ with Chan in New Mexico a week ago, she braved the very chilly temperatures of Grand Rapids, Michigan while filming her drama ‘Setup‘ with 50 Cent, Ryan Phillippe, and Bruce Willis earlier this month. BeforeTheTrailer.com recently interviewed Mike Gunther, the director of the movie (which is also produced by 50 Cent and Randall Emmett), and we get to learn a little more about the “diamond heist gone wrong” film where the professional dancer, actress, and producer added stunt woman to her growing resume.

After helping to spoof the action genre with MacGruber, Ryan Phillippe is getting back to making a straight-faced example of it, signing up alongside Bruce Willis, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and Jenna Dewan Tatum for Set Up.Co-written by Mike Gunther and Mike Behrman and with Gunther calling the shots in Michigan right now, the story finds three friends who get caught up in a diamond heist that begins to turn nasty. You know, because diamond heists are usually such fun little affairs, with dancing and cocktails. There’s no word on what roles the three are playing, though we’d guess Phillippe is one of the pals who is sucked into the crime. We’re a little more intrigued as to Bruce’s association with the movie, since he was already scheduled to act in Patrick Allesandrin’s Ten, which is also about to start shooting. Maybe he’s trying...

Much like her hubby, Jenna Dewan-Tatum has been a busy bee this year. She filmed the western ‘The Legend of Hell’s Gate: An American Conspiracy‘ and the romantic comedies ‘Slightly Single in L.A.‘ and ‘Balls to the Wall‘.
She also executive produced and premiered the Producer’s Guild nominated political documentary ‘Earth Made of Glass‘ at the Tribeca Film Festival and is currently producing the high school reunion drama ‘Ten Year‘ with husband Channing Tatum via their new (soon to be titled) production company.
After spending Thanksgiving with Chan and her family in Texas, Jenna flew to the Michigan (where she’s currently using her new Snuggie to stay warm) and now we know why…
Variety just announced that Jenna has joined Bruce Willis, Chan’s ‘Stop-Loss‘ co-star Ryan Phillippe, and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson in the heist actioner ‘Setup‘, which began filming in Grand Rapids, Michigan earlier this week.

The actor, who is trying to revive his career after last spring’s ‘SNL’-spin-off, ‘MacGruber,’ flopped at the box office, is also joined by ‘Step Up’s Jenna Dewan Tatum. ‘Set Up’ began shooting this week in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and is being directed by Mike Gunther. Not much has been revealed yet about the script, which was co-written by Gunther and Mike Behrman. The career trajectory of Ryan Phillippe has always confused me. A talented actor who has taken roles in both venerable and popular - from Flags of Our Fathers and Crash to I Know What You Did Last Summer and Cruel Intentions - his career has never really taken off (none of his films have ever grossed more than $80 million domestically). The guy keeps plugging away, however, and has now landed another project. Variety reports that Phillippe and actress Jenna Dewan Tatum have joined the cast of Set Up alongside Bruce Willis and 50 Cent. Directed by renowned stuntman Mike Gunther, the movie is described as a "heist actioner" in which a group of friends get caught up in massive diamond robbery. Neither actors' roles are specified, though it's believed that Phillipe is taking over a role that Paul Walker was circling. The project begins filming this week in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Just some small casting news here. Actor Ryan Phillippe, whose actually not a bad actor, has signed on to the film Set Up, which also stars Bruce Willis and 50 Cent. It also looks rather dull and lame. Stuntman Mike Gunther is going to be directing and the plot will see a group of friends that find themselves in the middle of a diamond heist that goes wrong. Basically, you can count on this one to be a dud. Like I said before, Phillippe isn't particularly bad, he just seems to get stuck in shitty roles. Don't expect much from Set Up, it might offer up some good mindless action but that's about it.

Bruce Willis is in talks to join Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson in the heist film Set Up, with Paul Walker also in talks to jump on board. Mike Gunther, one of the industry's leading stunt coordinators, wrote the script and will direct the project. Variety reports Grindstone Entertainment/Lionsgate will distribute the film, presumably jumping on the sleeper success of Takers and The Town and thinking the market is ripe for more modestly budgeted and like-minded projects. The plot revolves around a diamond heist that (surprise, surprise) turns deadly.

Damnit Bruce Willis, I thought you were learning your lesson. After The Expendables and Red, I thought maybe you were getting your action movie career back on track, but now you're enlisting with Paul Walker and 50 Cent for a heist film. Not good. It's called Set Up and it's about a group of friends thrust into the middle of a diamond heist gone awry. I think it's probably safe to assume they are Set Up. The film is written and directed by Mike Gunther who is a prominent Hollywood stunt...
