Not long before the third season premiere, The CW put the cast and crew of The Outpost back to work on 13 additional episodes. While some outlets called this a fourth season renewal, the network has confirmed to us that the extra installments are part of an extended third season. Will The Outpost get a true fourth season renewal or, will the series be cancelled instead? Stay tuned.
An adventure-fantasy series, The Outpost stars Jessica Green, Jake Stormoen, Imogen Waterhouse, Anand Desai-Barochia, Aaron Fontaine, Adam Johnson, Izuka Hoyle, and Jaye Griffiths. Arguably, British tech ensemble Bugs paved the way for the likes of Spooks, Sherlock, Torchwood and more...
It feels a long time ago that watching Saturday night TV with the family was the norm, but back in the 1990s, millions crowded around the box for the likes of Noel's House Party, Due South, The Generation Game, and of course, Bugs. The latter ran for four series between 1995 and 1999 and arguably holds the distinction of being embryonic of later, more intensive, tech-heavy UK shows including Spooks and Sherlock.

Rigsy first appeared in last year's episode 'Flatline', and will now make his next appearance in an episode directed by Justin Molotnikov and written by The Game's Sarah Dollard.

Unit scientist Osgood, played by Ingrid Oliver, returns to Doctor Who for season nine. Having been killed by Missy (Michelle Gomez) in the show’s season eight finale ‘Death in Heaven’, Steven Moffat decided to bring back the Doctor’s biggest fan.
Steven Moffat, lead writer and Executive Producer, said: “Osgood is back, fresh from her recent murder at the end of last series. We recently confirmed that Osgood was definitely dead and not returning – but in a show about time travel, anything can happen. The brilliant Ingrid Oliver is back in action. This time though, can the Doctor trust his number one fan?”
This time she’s back in action and comes face-to-face with the shape-shifting extra-terrestrial Zygons, as they also return for the new season. They last appeared in ‘The Day of the Doctor’ for the show’s 50th anniversary episode.

Steven Moffat is undoing one of Doctor Who's cruellest twists - by bringing Osgood (Ingrid Oliver) back from the dead.
The loveable Unit scientist will return for a new two-part adventure, alongside colleague Kate Stewart (Jemma Redgrave).
Osgood last featured in series 8's finale, 'Death in Heaven', and was killed by the maniacal Missy (Michelle Gomez).
Also returning to Doctor Who are classic monsters the Zygons, shape-shifting aliens first introduced in 1975 and last featured in 2013's 50th anniversary special, 'The Day of the Doctor'.
Moffat had previously expressed his desire to bring back the Zygons, following their reappearance in the celebratory episode.
Of Osgood's own return, he said: "Osgood is back, fresh from her recent murder at the end of last series. We recently confirmed that Osgood was definitely dead and not returning - but in a show about time travel, anything can happen.
