The new live-action "Fallout" TV series, recently renewed for Season 2 streaming, stars Walton Goggins as a bounty hunter, adapting the Interplay Entertainment, Bethesda post-apocalyptic video game, now streaming on Amazon Prime Video:
"..in 2161 post-apocalyptic Southern California, protagonist the 'Vault Dweller' is tasked with recovering a water chip in the 'Wasteland' to replace the broken one in their underground shelter home 'Vault 13'. The Vault Dweller must thwart the plans of a group of mutants, led by a grotesque entity named the 'Master'.
"80 years later, the grandchild of the Vault Dweller, the 'Chosen One' tries to save his village 'Arroyo' from famine and droughts. But after saving the village, the Chosen One must fight the 'Enclave' shadow government.

“…and was transformed into a ghoul at some point in the years following it.

George Lucas is unarguably one of the best masters of science fiction storytelling, and the Star Wars saga only proves just how immensely talented he is. Not only has he created jaw-dropping storylines for this universe, but he has also introduced some of the most out-of-the-world characters. This also includes getting influenced by other universes and basing his own characters on them.

Surprisingly enough, Cad Bane, who is regarded as one of the most dangerous bounty hunters in this sci-fi universe, was created after Lucas was inspired by a character from Sergio Leone’s Dollars Trilogy. But what’s iconic is that this particular bounty hunter is actually based on Lee Van Cleef’s Angel Eyes, the enigmatic character from the Clint Eastwood-starrer trilogy.
George Lucas Based Cad Bane on Lee Van Cleef’s Angel Eyes?
As it so seems: Yes. Yes, he did.

Walton Goggins is an extremely well-known and respected actor. While he has been making headlines recently through his work in Fallout, other iconic works have helped him become the star that he is today. One of the best examples is his hit series, Justified, which ran for six seasons and became very critically acclaimed.
Walton Goggins in Fallout
In the hit series, the actor played the role of Boyd Crowder, alongside Timothy Olyphant’s Raylan Givens. The pair naturally became very close through the filming of the series. However, by the end of the shooting, it would seem that there was a very apparent drift between them, and the reason for it is quite interesting.
When Is Method Acting Too Much?
The obsessive artist is a concept often talked about. Seen in cinema through works like Black Swan, Whiplash, and I, Tonya, it has been captured in several mediums; however,...

Welcome to Emmy Experts Typing, a weekly column in which Gold Derby editors and Experts Joyce Eng and Christopher Rosen discuss the Emmy race — via Slack, of course. This week, we take another gander at the wide-open drama races.
Christopher Rosen: Hello, Joyce! We’re back to our favorite 2024 Emmys genre: drama! I kid, of course, but there is something still dramatic about this year’s drama categories – even as we (I) wait with bated breath to see which limited series blinks and joins the party in these final days, pre-printed FYC ads be damned. For now, we’re all operating on the idea that “The Crown” is the favorite here, but that feels like it’s operating on more vibes than reality. The final season of the Emmy Award-winning series was certainly better received than its preceding season… but it was a far cry from the sweeping fourth season.

The Dark Knight trilogy is one of the finest superhero franchises out there, and while The Dark Knight Rises did close the book on Christian Bale’s Batman, screenwriter Jonathan Nolan would eagerly return for more.
Jonathan Nolan, who co-wrote both The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises, was asked by Showsha if he’d like to return to the Batman franchise. “Wouldn’t that be a dream?” Nolan said. “That period was 10 years of my life [from] when I got the call to work on Batman Begins, and it was epic. Working with Christian [Bale], Heath [Ledger], Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, and to honor an American icon. If I had the chance to go back and work on that again? Absolutely.“
Getting that bang back together would be a tall order, as Nolan admitted, “We’ve moved onto other things,” and “other people have picked up the mantel and moved on with those characters.

Walton Goggins and Timothy Olyphant starred in Justified for six seasons, but by the end of its FX run, the actors were not on the best of terms.
Goggins first opened up about his fractured relationship with his co-star in Peter Biskind’s book Pandora’s Box: How Guts, Guile, and Greed Upended TV. In a new interview, Goggins once again said he and Olyphant “weren’t talking” by the show’s series finale.
“We had a tough time towards the end of Justified,” Goggins told The Independent. “We were so deep into these people we were playing, and they were so polar opposite at this point in the story… I think we were both obsessed with our own points of view, just carrying the weight of this conflict.”

A deserted road in the middle of the endless expanse of the American outback. Two opponents in hats face each other. Each is ready at a moment's notice to pull the trigger and send the enemy to the next world. Scenes like these take us back to a time when sheriffs and marshals were little different from criminals.
It's hard to imagine something like this in the 21st century, but Justified manages to tell the classic story of the Wild West in modern Kentucky in the most realistic and effective way possible. The premiere took place in 2010 and the finale was shown in 2015, but the series still deserves attention nine years after it ended.
Justified is not put on the same level as recognized masterpieces like The Sopranos or Breaking Bad, although at its best, this grandiose neo-western is no inferior to even the most popular TV series in history.

Fallout was a successful live-action adaptation of a popular video game with the combined efforts of Bethesda Game Studios and Amazon Prime Video. It shattered records and even made short work of popular series like The Boys and Invincible but couldn’t top The Lord of the Rings.
The show was able to pull an impressive 65 million viewers in the first 16 days since the day Prime Video released all of the episodes. Compared to an equally well-budgeted show based on the popular work of author J.R.R Tolkien, it was considerably better and more well-received.
The Fallout Series Is Way Better Than the Lord of the Rings Spinoff The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power had a strong start but failed to capture the fans, unlike Fallout.
Despite having a strong start, the video game adaptation was the second most-watched title on the platform and fell behind The Rings of Power.

"Fallout" is the smash success Amazon Studios has been waiting for. The show, based on the popular video game series of the same name, has become one of the biggest hits to date on Prime Video. Amazon has revealed that the series is now the second-most-watched show in the history of the streaming service, trailing only the mega-budgeted "Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power."
According to Variety, "Fallout" was streamed by 65 million viewers during its first 16 days of release. Amazon made the choice to release the entire first season all at once on April 10. That's closer to the traditional Netflix binge model, rather than the week-to-week episode model that Prime Video has employed in recent years. That may have attracted more viewership in the early going, and that makes the show one of Prime Video's biggest hits ever out of the gate. As such, it's not surprising that...

Amazon’s Prime Video is cooking after the launch of Fallout, a comedic sci-fi series based on the best-selling Bethesda video game series. According to Prime Video’s numbers, Fallout is the cat’s pajamas, with 65 million viewers in its first 16 days of release. If these mind-blowing numbers are correct, Fallout is the streamer’s second most-watched title after The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.
While Prime Video crows about Fallout’s much-deserved popularity, they say it’s the most-watched show ever among adults 18-34, with 60% of the show’s audience coming from overseas. According to the numbers, UK, France, and Brazil audiences love the post-apocalyptic drama, making Fallout an international sensation. Fallout has become one of Prime Video’s biggest series ever — according to Prime Video.
The well-reviewed show, based on the video game franchise of the same name, has become the second-most-watched title ever on the Amazon streaming service over its first 16 days of release, the company says. Prime Video says 65 million viewers worldwide have watched at least some of Fallout since its April 10 premiere, putting the show behind only The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power in the streamer’s catalog.
Global audiences have powered a majority of that viewing: More than 60 percent of Fallout’s audience is outside the United States. The (limited) data from Amazon jibes with that from outside sources like Samba TV, Luminate and Reelgood, all of which have tracked a strong start for the series (Nielsen’s streaming data lags by several weeks).

Video-game adaptations are going next level. Amazon says “Fallout” is off to the second-best start for any series on Prime Video ever.
More than 65 million people watched “Fallout” in its first 16 days on the streaming service, per a Prime Video rep. Amazon says that’s second only to the 16-day debut window for “Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” back in 2022. Amazon also says “Fallout” is the number 1 title globally on Prime Video in that span, it’s hit number 1 in 170 countries, and more than 60 percent of its audience has come internationally. People in the UK, France, and Brazil especially love it.
The streamer claimed back in 2022 that the debut episode of “Rings of Power” was watched by 25 million people in just 24 hours and by 100 million people overall, but never reported specific figures for a 16-day window. But how many kept watching? A report said only 37 percent of...

“Fallout” is proving to be far from a (nuclear) bomb for Amazon’s Prime Video.
According to the streamer, the series pulled in 65 million viewers in its first 16 days of availability, with the first season dropping in its entirety on April 10. Amazon also says the show is its most-watched ever among adults 18-34, with 60% of the show’s audience coming from outside the United States. In particular, the UK, France, and Brazil have all proven to be hubs for the show’s popularity. It should be noted, however, that Amazon has not released any data on how viewers are counted, especially when it comes to completion of the show. Pedro Pascal did not become the name that he is today immediately after entering the Hollywood industry. It took him a long time and a great amount of patience. Walton Goggins has no limitations whatsoever when it comes to his range and skill in film and television. With boundless untapped energy serving as a cushion, the Fallout actor truly gives back to society by tackling multi-colored projects spanning various genres. One such project, however, came dangerously close to insulting the incredible talent and hard work of his director and co-stars in the HBO satire, Vice Principals. And Goggins refused to take such an insult lying down.

The Season 1 finale of Prime Video’s “Fallout” left audiences with many unanswered questions around the scientist-turned-New California Republic leader Lee Moldaver, such as how she survived the nuclear apocalypse and her relationship to Lucy’s mother, Rose MacLean.

“I was told enough to play each scene,” she told TheWrap in a recent interview. “When I had the first meeting, I was told a lot, and then as we were shooting… It was so coveted, this information, and the writers are so brilliant, they’re so caring. They wanted to give us everything, but at the same time, they couldn’t give everything. So I know more than you do, but I don’t know as much as them.”
