• Things have been pretty quiet for Anne Hathaway on the casting front since her Best Supporting Actress win, but we just assumed that she was waiting to line up the perfect post-Oscar project. She may have found that in Lynn Shelton’s (Your Sister’s Sister) next project Laggies — a dark comedy about a late 20-something afraid of growing up. Chloë Moretz, Sam Rockwell, and Mark Webber are also in talks to star. With a script by Like the Red Panda author Andrea Siegel, Hathaway would play Megan, the 20-something in question. Hollywoodnews.com: Oliver Stone’s “Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps” played for the press Friday morning at the Cannes Film Festival. At the end of most press screenings here there are boos of one sort or another. Not this time. There was actual applause.
“Money Never Sleeps” is a slick, Hollywood hit made from a formula that—this time—works. When the formula is wrong, it’s not good. But Stone and his screenwriters and star Michael Douglas know this terrain of Gordon Gekko. They decided to keep it simple, and give the audience what they might want.
In this 23 year later sequel, Gekko has gotten out of prison in 2001 after eight years. He was in for insider trading and various other white collar crimes. He writes a best seller but has no real money. A stash of $100 million is unavailable to him, squirreled away...

Workin' at the carwash, Michael Urie takes a punch, NBC shows Mercy some mercy, and meet The Fargonator.
Them’s fightin’ words! The cast of Party Down proclaims “We’re better than Glee.” Naturally that just some good natured ribbing towards their former castmate Jane Lynch, who’s riding a career high thanks to Fox’s juggernaut.
The Westboro Baptist Church plans to picket Constance McMillen’s graduation in a desperate attempt at relevancy. I need to ask – where do they get money for travel? It seems like they’re always on the road.
Now that they’ve been on every single talk show making me feel bad about what I eat, Food, Inc. has been made available to watch online in its entirety by PBS. Warning – video autoplays.

A recent interview by THR with Summit Entertainment’s Robert Friedman and Patrick Wachsberger revealed just a bit more about why the company is going with a new director for the Twilight sequel, New Moon, and what the overall plan is for it.
”If you look at Harry Potter.” explained Wachsberger, ”they change director every movie. The second book is slightly different. (There are) new characters and more visual effects. Catherine (Hardwicke) did a fantastic job (on Twilight), and there is a naturalistic feel to the movie that she created and we're going to keep. The first movie was very good, and we hope the second movie (will) be even better.”
Yes, most fans of the book are hoping for the same. They also went on to confirm that, while Edward is primarily absent from the second book, he will be present in the film. Be interesting to see how they work that.

Longtime Paramount Pictures production executive John Goldwyn is stepping down as vice chairman of the Motion Picture Group and president of Paramount Pictures. Exercising an option in his contract, he will segue into an exclusive, multiyear producing pact with the studio, Paramount Pictures chairman Sherry Lansing announced Sunday. Goldwyn, who oversees the studio's development, budgeting, casting and motion picture production, will remain in his present job until the company names a successor. Having first joined Paramount in 1990, Goldwyn was promoted to president in 1997, and in January 2002, he was named vice chairman, a post he shares with Robert Friedman, who also serves as chief operating officer at Paramount Pictures. "Sherry and I have been talking about it for a while," explained Goldwyn, who is approaching the end of the second year of his current five-year contract. Built into the contract was an option that, if exercised before the close of its second year, would allow him to move into a producing role.
