Jeremy Strong's hardcore dedication to his "Succession" character is a well-tread territory, but his commitment to Kendall Roy's threads is often overlooked. The actor actually has quite a large hand in dressing the Murdoch-like media empire's failing-upwards-son. The intentional and occasionally flashy nature of Kendall's outfits is expertly matched to the character's various neuroses. The only person that puts more thought into Kendall's clothes than Kendall himself is the performer that plays him, and it shows — especially in episode 6 of the series' fourth and final season.
"Living+" is a series of nervous breakdowns, but Kendall's might be the biggest of all. With a new product launch happening in Hollywood, he seizes the opportunity to put on a show. Strong has to deliver a major monologue that cycles through a lot of different emotions — confidence, grief, pathetic stuttering — but the first thing that occurred to the actor was what...

Val Kilmer grew up a Batman fan. He recalled to The Hollywood Reporter how he got to sit in the Batmobile as a second grader when his father took him to the set of the TV series in the '60s. So, when director Joel Schumacher tapped him to replace Michael Keaton as the titular superhero for 1995's "Batman Forever," it was a childhood dream come true. Kilmer would be paired with stars such as Jim Carrey as an unhinged Riddler, Tommy Lee Jones as Two-Face and Nicole Kidman as Bruce Wayne's love interest, Dr. Chase Meridian. For Kilmer, the dream quickly became a nightmare.
In the '90s, the "Top Gun" actor had developed a reputation for being difficult to work with, so much so that in '96 Entertainment Weekly devoted an entire piece detailing his erratic behavior on film sets titled "Val Kilmer Makes Enemies in Hollywood." Hollywood...

Many of the best-known Marvel movie villains look like the actors playing them. Loki is Tom Hiddleston in a costume. Killmonger is Michael B. Jordan with dreadlocks. They're beloved because they're relatable, and although we may hate their goals the actors embodying them frequently convey sympathetic motives. They're dangerous in part because they have some (arguably) likable traits.
The truly scary threats, however, look solidly inhuman. Aliens, monsters, gods, robots, the occasional mutant ... we cannot relate directly to such overpowered beings when it's so very unlikely they can be persuaded not to crush us. Yet behind all these frightening threats, there is a real human being. In some cases, it's one you may not believe you didn't recognize before. Let's take a look at what the actual actors behind so many intimidating creatures look like when they're just being themselves. Here are what the scariest MCU villains look like in real life.

The infamous costume worn by George Clooney in Joel Schumacher’s “Batman & Robin” will soon be up for auction. And the defined nipple suit is just the tip of the “Batman” memorabilia available on which to bid.
As part of Heritage Auctions’ Hollywood & Entertainment Signature Auction during July 22 through 23, iconic ’90s “Batman” props will be available to purchase. Jim Carrey’s Riddler cane from “Batman Forever” has a starting bid of 8,000 and Jack Nicholson’s purple Joker suit from Tim Burton’s “Batman” can be yours for at least 65,000.
Yet the crown jewel of the collection remains the nipple suit, opening at 40,000 and expected to go much higher in bidding. The 1997 Batman costume is constructed of cast foam latex, vinyl, resin components, and leather, per the auction house. The suit was “all expertly painted, finished and assembled on a life-size pose-able mannequin with a hyper-realistic George Clooney head with prosthetic grade false eyes.

George Clooney’s Batman costume from Joel Schumacher’s 1997 “Batman & Robin” might be the most ridiculed get-up in superhero movie history thanks to its pronounced plastic nipples, and now the suit can be yours thanks to Heritage Auctions. Clooney’s infamous Batman nipple suit is up for auction with an opening bid set at 40,000. The sale is part of Heritage’s Hollywood & Entertainment Signature Auction, taking place July 22-23.
“This is easily the most famous – and infamous – Batman costume ever designed, as evidenced by the fact that all these years later, it continues to make headlines every time Tim Burton and George Clooney get asked about it,” Heritage Auction’s executive vice president Joe Maddalena said in a statement. “But to his credit, Joel Schumacher never apologized for the ‘Bat-nipples.’ In fact, he once told Vice, ‘I’m still glad we did it.’ And I am just as glad...

Joel Schumacher’s “Batman” films are famous not just for the set design and campy aesthetic, but for the “sharpened” nipples visible on the superhero suits.
“Batman & Robin” costume designer Jose Fernandez detailed the strong design decision to “showcase” Batman’s nipples, first in the 1995 film “Batman Forever” starring Val Kilmer, and even further (and infamously) accentuated for 1997 follow-up “Batman & Robin” with George Clooney and Chris O’Donnell as the titular Gotham heroes.
“It wasn’t fetish to me, it was more informed by Roman armor — like Centurions,” Fernandez told Mel Magazine. “And, in the comic books, the characters always looked like they were naked with spray paint on them — it was all about anatomy, and I like to push anatomy.”
Fernandez previously worked with Tim Burton on “Batman Returns” crafting the Catwoman suit prototype. And while the nipple-forward “Batman Forever” suit started with “just a little blob of clay” on the chest,...

Batman & Robin‘s costume designer says he introduced the nipple to the batsuit in Joel Schumacher’s run of Batman movies but that the director pushed for their exaggeration.
In an interview with Mel Magazine, Jose Fernandez spoke about the controversial suit design element that has dominated discourse around the film since its 1997 release, taking credit for initially adding it to Val Kilmer’s suit for Batman Forever.

Tim Burton Slams Studio for Approving Batman’s Nipples Suit After He Left Franchise: ‘F— Yourselves’
Tim Burton finds it comical to see the Batman movie franchise embracing its darkest tone yet in Matt Reeves’ “The Batman” when such a tone forced him out of the franchise following 1992’s “Batman Returns.” Speaking to Empire magazine, Burton revealed he has yet to see “The Batman” but added, “It is funny to see this now, because all these memories come back of, ‘It’s too dark,’ So, it makes me laugh a little bit.”
Burton’s “Batman Returns” was met with some resistance by Warner Bros. because of its dark tone, and the studio did not want to continue on with a third Burton movie. The director left and was replaced by Joel Schumacher, who went in a complete opposite direction than Burton with the over-the-top camp in “Batman Forever” and “Batman & Robin.”
“[Back then] they went the other way,” Burton said. “That’s the funny thing about it.

The Tick, himself, Peter Serafinowicz says The Tick Season 2 doesn't feel like a superhero show.
When all 10 episodes of The Tick Season 2 premiere on Amazon Prime this Friday, viewers will be able to see star Peter Serafinowicz do something he’s never been able to do as the titular big blue superhero: move his head.
“The costume was a big improvement on the previous year,” Serafinowicz says. “I could move my head. I could bend my legs. I could do lots of things.”
The costume that The Tick dons (in a rather creative way that we won’t spoil here) in The Tick Season 2’s first episode is now the third version of the Tick-suit that Serafinowicz has worn. Serafinowicz became the second actor to step into the live-action into role of Ben Edlund’s indie comic book hero back in 2016 with Amazon Prime’s The Tick.

Back in the 90s, I remember how excited I was to see Joel Schumacher's Batman & Robin, but damn... that movie turned out to be a big giant turd sandwich! It's gotta be one of the worst superhero films ever made. After seeing the awesome Tim Burton Batman films, I couldn't understand why the studio would allow something like Batman & Robin.
Well, as we get closer to the 20th anniversary of the film that became famous for its bat nipples, the director recently talked to Vice about his movie, and he apologized to the fans who didn't like it saying:
“Look, I apologize. I want to apologize to every fan that was disappointed because I think I owe them that.”
He also went on to explain why he put those silly-ass nipples on Batman's suit that led to him creating those infamous rubber nipples. In regards to those rubber nipples,...

Somehow, this month marks the 20th anniversary of Batman & Robin, the much-maligned and slated fourth installment in the first Batman series of films that was directed by Joel Schumacher. Where does the time go? Fans, of course, still hold the film as the worst in the franchise’s history, and is considered one of the worst superhero films ever.
So, in commemoration of the anniversary, director Schumacher has been speaking about the film and its impact, both good and bad, on the history of the character and indeed how it has helped shaped the superhero genre as it exits today. Speaking to Vice, Schumacher issues another apology to fans for the film, which he says wasn’t intended to be disappointment:

Oh, Batman and Robin. This is a flick that’s gone down in history as one of the worst films ever made. Yes, you have movies like Fantastic Four and Green Lantern that people love to hate, but even those movies are g***amn Citizen Kane compared to the likes of Batman and Robin. Coming off of the likes of Batman Forever, fans definitely expected it to have more of a light tone, but no one could prepare them for the flurry of ice puns, bat nipples, sloppy filmmaking, and even sloppier writing.
Director Joel Schumacher has already gone on the record over a decade ago that he was sorry to those who hated the film, but fandom doesn’t forget atrocities like Batman and Robin. Speaking in an interview with Vice, Schumacher and the interviewer got blunt about the film and why it crashed and burned the way it did,...

Another company won the bid, but as bummed as I was - because I really wanted to showcase what I could do, I worked with [another] designer to do almost every other costume in the film so I had my hands full, so I was okay [with losing Apocalypse]." Following his decidedly purplish debut in Entertainment Weekly, Apocalypse has looked a lot closer to comic book depictions but the above image looks as if it was literally ripped from the page. However, the success of the film will depend on how the character functions and is portrayed by Oscar Isaac, not necessarily how he looks. If the film...

Separately, country music icon Tim McGraw decided to do a benefit concert for the Sandy Hook Promise charity and suddenly he became persona non grata to the gun lobby while others call for his records to be banned.
Separately, political hack Peter Schweizer was a consultant for Sarah Palin when she was John McCain’s running mate in the 2008 Presidential election, and we’re supposed to take seriously his allegations that Hillary Clinton, as Secretary of State, okayed the sale of Uranium One, a Canadian company with uranium mining claims in the U.S., to Rosatom, a Russian atomic energy agency.

MTV was able to do an interview with costume designer Deborah Lynn Scott about the new suit in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. I liked elements of the previous suit like the texture, the inset web, and pattern design. While the old suit was received with largely mixed reactions, the new one is far more iconic and loved instantly by nearly everyone due to the key improvement of the eyes.
Scott Via MTV:
“The eyes are the major difference in the costume,”
“The brief from Marc was to make them as large as possible,”
“Having said that, you have to work within the framework of Andrew Garfield’s head.”
“We found that some of our eye designs would make him look concerned or angry, just in the slightest bit,”
Yesterday we posted an infographic showing the evolution of Spider-Man's suit from 1962-2014 and the eyes really do change Spidey's attitude.

Comicus, an Italian comic book movie site, recently interviewed Jose Fernandez, the head of Ironhead studios. They talk about Marvel's Thor, and the proccess of making the costumes. Check out the great read below. When did you start working on Thor? We were one of the shops contracted by the costume department to assist in fabricating the hard elements of the costumes, i.e. helmets, breastplates, armor, etc. These characters included Loki, Hogun, Siph, Fandral, and also for Thor we did the helmet. Can you explain in detail the working process that IronHead Studios made for Thor? I had little to no dealings with Mr. Branagh. I was working through and for Alexandra Byrne, I took all creative leads from her. All the design came from Alex and the Studio though we did have a bit of influence in Loki's and Thor's helmets.
