The Gentlemen is the latest entry into Guy Ritchie‘s chaotic and hilarious world of crime. The Netflix series is created by Ritchie himself and it is set in the world of Ritchie’s 2019 film of the same name. It follows the story of Eddie Horniman, who unexpectedly inherits the title of Duke and his father’s whole estate. Still, he is more surprised as what he doesn’t know is that his father was in cahoots with criminals, who were growing cannabis on their estate. Eddie decides that he wants to rid his family estate of all the weed plants and criminals, but before he can do that he might have to do some criminal things himself first. The Gentlemen stars Theo James in the lead roles with Kaya Scodelario, Daniel Ings, Vinnie Jones, Ruby Sear, Joely Richardson, Giancarlo Esposito, Alexis Rodney, and Harry Goodwins starring in supporting roles.

It’s already great to hear there’s going to be a series on the cult classic Snatch. It’s even better to see the wide array of actors Crackle signed on. But now a teaser trailer was just released… and wow, next week cannot come fast enough.
Crackle is set to release ten one-hour episodes of the new Snatch series next Thursday, March 16. Alex De Rakoff (who has previous experience with Grand Theft Auto) is directing the series – as well as wrote several of the episodes, and stars your childhood actors all grown up.
Completely unrecognizable from his Harry Potter past, Rupert Grint sheds Ron Weasley for Charlie Cavendis– and he looks good. Phoebe Dynevor, of Waterloo Road and Prisoners Wives, plays Lotti Mott, while Scream Queens’ Lucien Laviscount plays Billy Ayers and American Gothic’s Stephanie Leonidas plays Chloe Koen. Though it hasn’t garnered the same traction as, say, 24: Legacy or FX’s acclaimed Fargo, Crackle is in the process of rebooting Snatch, a serialized version of Guy Ritchie’s cult crime caper that’s due to premiere in exactly two months’ time.
Comprised of 10 episodes in total, the Snatch of 2017 is headed up by former Harry Potter star Rupert Grint. He’ll play Charlie Cavendish, a budding hustler who makes a foray into London’s seedy crime scene, only to find himself in deep with the sharks. The high-stakes world of organized crime awaits, though Crackle’s interpretation looks to be a much more refined version of Ritchie’s 2000 original.
That’s a little disappointing, particularly when you consider that the gritty, unforgiving world of Snatch is part and parcel of the film’s charm, but we’re willing to lend Crackle and the creative team the...

Last year it was announced that Rupert Grint was starring and executive producing Crackle’s new series “Snatch.” Now, during the streaming network’s panel at the Television Critics Association, they released the first trailer, which features the actor as the posh con man Charlie Cavendish.
The 10-episode, one-hour series is loosely based on Guy Ritchie’s 2000 comedy of the same name, starring Jason Statham and Brad Pitt. Inspired by a real-life heist in London, the series centers on a group of twenty-something, up-and-coming hustlers who stumble upon a truck load of stolen gold bullion and are suddenly thrust into the high-stakes world of organized crime.

There have been a lot of crime thriller exports from the UK in recent years including: RocknRolla, Jack Says, Layer Cake and The All Together. Dead Man Running is definitely in this category and while the film is enjoyable to watch, the film does not add anything new to this genre. The film stars Tamer Hassan, no rookie to the crime thriller, Danny Dyer, as comic relief and Curtis Jackson aka 50 Cent. Described as a "larky caper filled with geezers, shootahs and maappets" (Mirror), Dead Man Running is an above average crime drama, with some comedic lines thrown in for punch.
The film's premise is simple really, as Nick (Hassan) is 100K in debt to a local loan shark (Jackson). This playing it straight ex-criminal is given 24 hours to pay-off his debt. Otherwise, his...

Before welcoming Marlon, now 5, Monet Mazur had an idea of the type of mom she would someday be.
“Regimented, strict and scheduled,” the actress, 34, reveals to Babble. Those plans were “thrown out the window,” however, when Mazur and husband Alex de Rakoff decided to travel the world with their young son.
“You have to let go and go with the flow,” Mazur says.
“We’ve lived all over the world — he’s gone to school in Spain, London and New York and now we’re back in L.A. He’s adapted so well.”

London -- Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson has joined a stellar indie cast for Alex de Rakoff's London gangland movie "Dead Man Running," which began shooting Wednesday.
Jackson joins a cast that includes Tamer Hassan ("Layer Cake"), Danny Dyer ("The Business"), Brenda Blethyn ("Secrets and Lies") and Monet Mazur ("Stoned").
The rapper will play a ruthless loan shark in the movie, which details a criminal world as hard hit by the recession as Wall Street.
Set in London, de Rakoff's script centers on an ex-con trying to go straight who is given 24 hours to raise 100,000 pounds ($150,000) to pay off Jackson's loan shark or become a "dead man running." The mission takes him from the dog tracks of East London to the underground drug scene of rural Manchester as they try every trick and scam in the book to get the cash before it's too late.
The movie has attracted the backing of U.

Paramount Vantage is stopping the presses for Breaking News, a remake of a Hong Kong action movie that Joel Schumacher is in negotiations to direct. Alex De Rakoff is writing the script for the movie, which will be produced by Gold Circle's Paul Brooks.
The story is set in motion when a TV news unit broadcasts live an embarrassing defeat of a police battalion by five bank robbers in a ballistic showdown. While on a separate investigation and stakeout in a run-down building, a detective discovers the hideout of the robbers. But the situation is complicated by an inspector who, in order to beat the media at its own game, decides to turn the stakeout into a breaking-news show.
The original screened Out of Competition at the 2004 Festival de Cannes and was directed and produced by acclaimed filmmaker Johnnie To.
Guy Danella is overseeing for Gold Circle.
Breaking News reunites Schumacher with Gold Circle, for which he is in post on the horror movie Town Creek, which Lionsgate Films is distributing.

LONDON -- The danger in describing a comedy as puerile and stupid is that some may think those words guarantee some kind of dumb-and-dumber good time. "The Calcium Kid" is not puerile and stupid in that way.
This is the film that Orlando Bloom will choose not to mention in future interviews and no doubt wishes would disappear now. Fortunately for him, it is unlikely to survive any attempt to leave British shores.
Bloom plays a knuckleheaded London kid who delivers milk for a living and inexplicably shows up at a local gym, where he steps into the ring with the prized local fighter. When the boxer breaks his fist on the kid's head, a sleazy promoter decides the "Calcium Kid" should take his place in a bout with the world champion.
Director Alex De Rakoff tells this yarn as if it were a documentary. Unfortunately, everything that could be learned from "The Office" is entirely omitted, particularly the humor. Much time is devoted to entirely uninteresting secondary characters: the promoter leeringly played by Omid Djalili; British comedy staple the fat stupid friend, here played without charm by Rafe Spall; and the injured boxer, which gives Tamer Hassan a chance to scream a lot.
Veteran American character actor Michael Lerner somehow got involved as an American fight promoter, but he was probably there for the waters.
Bloom is entirely presentable as the milkman and he'll emerge unscathed, but you can bet Jay Leno will keep a clip of this film to show him later in his career.
