"What are you still doing here? There's nothing left but a pack of wolves." Indican has debuted an official trailer for an indie comedy titled The Fox Hunter, the latest from filmmaker Patrick Shanahan. This has gone under a few other titles including The Hounds of Dixie and Cotton, but will be released with this final title. It's about a Southern family of blue-blood media moguls that falls apart "at the crossroads of past and progress in matters of death, wealth, love and American journalism." The comedy stars Reece Thompson, Madison Iseman, Beth Broderick, Brooke Butler, Olivia Grace Applegate, Benjie Anderson, Frieda Jane, Ira David Wood III, Michael Rupnow, and John Lescault. This looks a lot like Knives Out, but without a murder mystery, instead with way more quirky satire. And a bit of a Wes Anderson vibe. Here's the first official trailer (+ poster) for Patrick Shanahan's The Fox Hunter,...

Live-Evil. It’s Ghostbusters meets Dawn of the Dead caught in the Twilight Zone… When a small college town police station is besieged by “Evil” on a sleepy Halloween night, Pete, the sheriff, and Hancock, his loyal deputy, are thrown into the middle of holy chess-game that could destroy the town, and possibly the world.
When I started watching Live-Evil I thought it was great. I liked the strange artistic style, I liked the kooky, bass guitar riffs they had thumping in the background, I liked the main character Hancock (Charlene Amoia) who was the right level of badass and grumpy and I liked the way the film just dropped you in it, not...

Raleigh, N.C. — The widow of actor Andy Griffith has gotten a permit to tear down the house where he lived for many years on the North Carolina waterfront, upsetting friends who had hoped it would be preserved as a museum or Graceland-type estate.
Cindi Griffith obtained the demolition permit Monday, according to Dare County records. County officials and friends confirmed the permit is to demolish a smaller house along the Roanoke Sound that Griffith bought in the 1950s, not the larger house that he and Cindi built nearby several years ago.
William Ivey Long, the Tony Award-winning costume designer whose parents were friends with Griffith and his first wife, Barbara, said Griffith told him in 2007 that he wanted to preserve the older home as a museum. The two discussed the possibility when Long had an exhibit of his costumes at the Cameron Art Museum in Wilmington, Long said.
