It’s been more than 10 years since NBC’s mockumentary sitcom The Office came to its end, but one of its actors can boast of having a home decor that reminds them of the show all the time.
With all the numerous memories created throughout the time of The Office’s several-years-long run, it was surely hard for everyone there to just let it go forever, and John Krasinski was the one who found a way out.
While promoting his brand new fantasy comedy If, Krasinski made an appearance on the Office Ladies podcast run by Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey who he starred alongside in The Office.
Not missing such an opportunity to reminisce about their time on the show’s set, Krasinski, who portrayed Jim in the series, revealed that he’d felt quite emotional on the last day of filming saying that it “was just the scariest,...

The new Netflix streaming comedy Tires is in the vein of single-camera sitcoms from Greg Daniels or Michael Schur. Yet, Tires is far from being on par with The Office or Parks and Recreation. In fact, this will probably be the first and last time the new Shane Gillis comedy is mentioned in the same breath as those classic sitcoms.
That’s because Tires is a poor imitation of those workplace comedies. At its worst, the new sitcom can be tedious, grating, and painfully unfunny. At its best, the series is something you have on in the background—a harmless, politically incorrect excursion. Yes, the jokes are on the hapless and clueless characters. However, that doesn’t make it good or mean its heart is in the right place.

"The Office" is one of the greatest television comedies of all time, which is probably why it's still one of the most popular streaming titles (with rights previously costing $500 million) nearly a decade after it premiered on NBC. Despite a few rough seasons in the back half of the show's run, the series still stands tall as a pinnacle of small screen hilarity. Those low points came after showrunner/creator Greg Daniels left the series at the end of season four to focus on "Parks & Recreation," and they got worse after Michael Scott left Dunder Mifflin (something Steve Carell didn't exactly choose to do).
With both of those pillars of "The Office" gone, the writers struggled to fill the holes left in the show, both comedically and narratively, by making Andy Bernard (Ed Helms) the new manager and leaning more into the family drama of Jim (John Krasinski) and...

John Krasinski is finally admitting to taking a notable item from The Office set on his last day of filming.
The actor-director, who played Jim, recently stopped by Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey’s rewatch podcast Office Ladies to reminisce on NBC’s Emmy-winning comedy series.
During their conversation, Krasinski recalled one of his final moments filming the show, when “evil genius” creator Greg Daniels took the cast to shoot a scene at Poor Richard’s dive bar, one of the characters’ favorite spots. After filming several takes, the Quiet Place star remembered walking out of the set for the last time and seeing the show’s crew all gathered together.
“I’m choking up just talking about it, but then when you come back in and see your TV dad and all of your family waiting there and clapping, and [Greg] said, ‘That’s the end of The Office,’ I...

Running for ten seasons, The Office, starring the likes of Steve Carell, Rainn Wilson, and Jenna Fischer, stands as one of the most impactful shows in recent times. The mockumentary, which aired a total of 201 episodes, captured viewers’ imaginations and still stands as one of the most streamed shows globally. Taking note of this popularity, a spinoff of sorts was greenlit for development and has now reached an advanced stage with actors from the original show opening up about their wishes and interests in a reprisal.

A new version of The Office is coming to Peacock soon, and it's going straight into the heart of a dying medium: print journalism. We can feel the good vibes already!
Greg Daniels, who was behind the U.S. adaptation of Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant's UK original, is teaming up with Nathan for You co-creator Michael Koman on the new comedy, which is set in the same universe as NBC's The Office. Despite the implication, the show, which will stream on Peacock, won't be set in Pennsylvania once more. Apparently, by "same universe," what Daniels and Koman mean is the work lives of the documentary crew who spent a decade filming a bunch of workers in a regional office of a midsize paper company (and crushing on at least one of them). ...

It's officially official: We are returning to the "Office" universe. Yes, we say universe because NBC's beloved sitcom isn't being revived or rebooted. Rather, the powers that be have opted to craft a spin-off of sorts set in the same world as the American version of "The Office," albeit centered on a new cast of characters in a new location. Per a press release, the series is set to begin filming in July for an eventual release on the streaming service Peacock, and the first plot details have been revealed.
The currently untitled "Office" spin-off hails from Greg Daniels, who officially came on board to develop the project last year. He also adapted the original British "Office" series for American television. Daniels is working alongside "Nathan for You" co-creator Michael Koman. The show has been ordered to series at Peacock and is being described as "a new mockumentary series...

The 2005’s mockumentary sitcom show The Office is surely one of the best examples of chemistry formed among an absolutely random group of people whose personalities almost never match in anything.
Yet the strategy worked out in its best way bringing the television history’s best jokes to the screen — though not all of them actually made it to the series from the script pages.
Angela Kinsey, who portrayed Angela Martin throughout the whole show, has recently revealed that she didn’t feel like some of the jokes that she had to say were appropriate enough, so the actress was brave enough to intervene.
It’s fair to say that many of her character’s most explicit features were actually borrowed from Kinsey herself, but got pretty much exaggerated — like, for example, her religiousness or her unconditional love for cats.

Angela Kinsey felt certain jokes about her Christian faith in The Office were wrong, and she spoke up about them, she said on a recent podcast.
Kinsey, who played Angela Martin on the show, talked about her Christian faith with former co-star Rainn Wilson on the April 23 episode of his podcast, Soul Boom.
Wilson, who played Dwight on the show, asked Kinsey about playing an “uptight Christian” when she was raised having a “very warm, meaningful relationship” with her faith and the church.
“Did that ever bump up against you in any way?” he asked.
Kinsey said there were jokes written for her character that she felt pigeonholed Christians and didn’t really reflect their views.
She cited one episode in the third season, in which her character was given a line she felt was “super judge-y” against Oscar, a gay character on the show.

Steve Carell is reuniting with Tina Fey and Universal Television.
The Office grad has closed a deal to co-star in Netflix’s The Four Seasons, the update of the 1981 Alan Alda feature film of the same name. The role reunites Carell with Tina Fey after the duo starred as a married couple in the 2010 movie Date Night.
Ordered straight-to-series in January after Netflix won the show following a bidding war after the conclusion of last year’s dual strikes, the adaptation was co-created by Fey and her fellow 30 Rock alums Lang Fisher and Tracey Wigfield.
Production on the series is slated to begin later this year. The original film, written and directed by Alda, revolves around three couples who take vacations together each season and explores the changes in the group dynamic when one of couples splits up and the man brings a much younger woman on subsequent trips. Originally envisioned as a British mockumentary spin-off starring Ricky Gervais and co-created by Steven Knight, The Office soon became one of the most popular sitcoms in history. Due to its popularity, the series has received numerous international versions, each dealing with the life of a small company dealing, in most cases, with paper. The American iteration starring Steve Carrell and John Krasinski is by far the most famous of these international versions, and if you remember, we have recently reported that the series would be getting another spin-off.

Adapted from the British television series of the same name, both series have received critical acclaim and are hailed among some of the best TV shows to have been created. Despite being an adaptation of its British counterpart, the American Office has received vast fame and popularity and has become a staple of popular culture.

Greg Daniels and Michael Koman could return to The Office universe, with Domhnall Gleeson and Sabrina Impacciatore (The White Lotus) as cast members of the proposed spinoff. Gleeson and Inpacciatore would be part of an ensemble for the project, which Deadline says is close to entering production. Plot details about The Office spinoff remain a mystery.
We know only a little about the project beyond its setting in The Office universe. Daniels wants fans to know it’s not a reboot, even though it takes place in the same arena as the Steve Carell-led mockumentary series focusing on the fictional Dunder Mifflin Paper Company employees. Daniels says the new show could feature a camera crew doing a documentary about a subject outside the day-to-day lives of office workers surviving the daily grind and their toxic boss.
Domhnall Gleeson launched his acting career in 2001 as a character named Byrne in an episode of Rebel Heart.

We suppose this news was inevitable.
In the age of spinoffs, reboots, and ever-expanding franchises, a show as popular as The Office was going to return from the dead at some point.
Not only did the original series run for nine seasons on NBC, the Steve Carell-led cringe comedy has proven surprisingly successful with subsequent generations, becoming Netflix's most-streamed show before being reclaimed by Peacock.
When a series enjoys that sort of lingering popularity with zero promotion nearly a decade since its last new episode, you can be certain that some sort of reboot is coming.

Not only that, the show has already cast two series leads.

The new iteration of “The Office” currently in development has started to flesh out its cast.
Variety has confirmed with sources that Sabrina Impacciatore and Domhnall Gleeson are attached to the project, which remain in development at Universal Television. They would occupy two roles in what would be an ensemble cast, like the original versions of the show.
Reps for Utv declined to comment.
Greg Daniels and Michael Koman are co-creating the new series. It has previously been reported that it is not a reboot of “The Office” but is set in the same universe, meaning it would likely be set in a different office setting with all new characters.
Gleeson has recently starred in shows such as “Alice & Jack,” “The Patient,” “Frank of Ireland,” and “Run.” He is perhaps best known for his role as General Hux in the new “Star Wars” film trilogy. He has also starred in films such as “Frank,...

Sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that the new take on the beloved NBC Steve Carell comedy has cast the first two members of what will be the ensemble comedy with Sabrina Impacciatore (The White Lotus) and Domhnall Gleeson (Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker) becoming the first two to join the cast of the potential series.
Reps for Universal Television, which is producing the updated take from creators Greg Daniels and Michael Koman (Nathan for You), declined to comment as the details surrounding the project remain closely guarded. A platform for the project has not yet been determined as sources say Daniels and the studio want to make sure the take is right before setting it up at a network/streamer. Peacock remains the exclusive streaming home for Daniels’ The Office after paying millions to secure the rights back from Netflix,...

‘The Office’: Domhnall Gleeson & ‘White Lotus’s Sabrina Impacciatore Cast In New Greg Daniels Comedy
The potential new Greg Daniels and Michael Koman comedy series in The Office universe has locked in its first two stars: Domhnall Gleeson (The Patient) and Sabrina Impacciatore (White Lotus), who will be part of an ensemble, sources close to production tell Deadline. Details regarding their roles are under wraps. The Office studio Universal Television declined to comment, other than to confirm that the project remains in development.
As Deadline revealed exclusively in January, Daniels opened up a development room to explore ideas for a follow-up series to the Emmy-winning The Office. The prospective new series, which is not a reboot, is said to be set in a new office with new characters but live within the same world as the Steve Carell-led mockumentary series which follows employees at the Scranton, Pennsylvania, branch of the fictional Dunder Mifflin Paper Company. Daniels has indicated that a new Office iteration could...

Hulu has announced which cast members from the original series will be back and there’s one name that appears to be missing from the list. Multiple original actors have passed away and it’s unclear if their roles will be recast.
The show, set in the fictional Arlen, Texas, followed the life of Hank Hill, an enthusiastic seller of propane and propane accessories; his wife,...
