Believe it or not, this is the third trailer for the board game-turned-movie Ouija I've posted since the first one dropped in July and yet I still get the impression none of us ever remembers it's a movie that's actually coming out this year... October 24 in fact... that's only a month away. You excitedc Directed by Stiles White, the film centers on a group of friends who must confront their most terrifying fears when they awaken the dark powers of an ancient spirit board. The film stars Matthew Settle, Erin Moriarty, Olivia Cooke, Daren Kagasoff, Bianca A. Santos, Vivis Colombetti, Ana Coto and Olivia Cooke and just skimming through this trailer I'm not getting much of a scary vibe as much as I'm getting a "horror cliches" vibe... hell, even the doll has its mouth sewn shut. What's that all aboutc Give it a watch below and let me know what you think.

It's still somewhat amazing Universal actually went through with delivering an Ouija adaptation, more so than even Battleship. Then again, perhaps it's more astonishing it's considered an adaptation and not just a movie featuring the fortune telling device. After all, what exactly are we adaptingc Today a second trailer for the film from director Stiles White has dropped, previewing the story in which a group of friends must confront their most terrifying fears when they awaken the dark powers of an ancient spirit board. We’re still very much in the midst of August, but Universal is already taking steps to ensure that Ouija will be a familiar name by the time October rolls around. A new TV spot for the upcoming horror title has landed online, tightening footage we already saw in the first theatrical preview into a concise, if less scary teaser.
Ouija is one of a few horror pics that will be competing for your screams (and hard-earned cash) come Halloween – earlier in the month, we’ll be getting The Conjuring spinoff Annabelle, anthology ABCs of Death 2, horror-tinged battle epic Dracula Untold and freaky threequel V/H/S Viral. So what sets this one apart? Its young, photogenic cast (which includes a wealth of supporting players from teen-targeted TV) might be enough.

Universal Pictures has released an extended TV spot for their horror film Ouija, which follows a group of friends who must confront their most terrifying fears when they awaken the dark powers of an ancient spirit board. I guess this is the kind of stuff that happens when you mess with the devil and his minions.
I always thought that a movie centered around a Ouija board could make for a really cool horror movie. I have yet to see a good one, though, and this Michael Bay-produced film doesn't look like it's going to be very good either. It's just another wasted opportunity to make a terrifying Ouija board movie.
The film was directed by Stiles White, and it stars Olivia Cooke, Douglas Smith, Bianca Santos, Daren Kagasoff, Vivis Colombetti, Ana Coto, and Erin Moriarty. The movie is set to be released on October 24th.

Universal Pictures has released the first trailer for their upcoming horror thriller Ouija. The story centers on a group of friends who start screwing around with a Ouija board, and as you'll see in the trailer, very bad things start to happen. Is the new "Ouija" trailer feeling a little...familiar? Formulaic? Uninspired? I hear you. This movie looks like it was cobbled together by a focus group specializing in "What Millenials Want! Lolz Omg Facebook Sexxxting!" To demonstrate what I mean, below are seven of the most heinous cliches from the new spot (embedded above). 1. Actors who look at least five years too old to be in high school Where have we seen this before? Hmm, try every teenage horror movie ever made. Actually, lead actress Olivia "Final Girl" Cooke is only 20 years old, but the majority of her "classmates" look like they should get arrested for being within 30 feet of a locker. 2. Out-of-touch suburban setting As someone who actually grew up in the hinterlands, I feel qualified to say this: not everyone in suburbia lives in a fabulous three-story Victorian mini-mansion. 3. Wise old psychic woman I actually thought co-star Vivis Colombetti...

A family that has had their home vandalized slowly comes to realize that a demonic presence may be at work terrorizing them in at first a subtle way, but growing more violent as the days pass.
Last year there was the phenomena known as Paranormal Activity that spooked audiences and made some pretty scary coin at the box office. So how how does this sequel measure up? Viewers that dug what the first one did, will be pleased with this. It treads the same formula as the original and doesn't divert away from what worked in the first film. For those less enamored, the above mentioned reasons as to why fans will like this entry, will also be the exact same reason as to why it doesn't work.

We are very giddy this week because a couple of titles that are near and dear to our hearts will be available for you folks to take home.
While we had gone on ad nauseam about the spectacular second Paranormal Activity demonic home invasion film, you can now watch it in your own house over and over again. Your home surveillance camera videos may never be the same again! We are also treated to not one, but both I Spit on Your Graves - the original from the 1970s and the new remake of a gritty film which may be disturbing to some but nonetheless empowering.
The other titles released this week from our genre may not be as beloved, but they are worth mentioning for the completists out there. Maybe they make better sense when viewed in the safety of one's home.
