Law & Order: Svu was finally back! So good to see Benson and the rest of the crew again.
Law & Order: Svu Season 20 Episode 17 branched off in a billion interesting directions after a little girl was found in a car trunk.
But then the final twist belonged on Days of Our Lives instead and seemed to excuse a pedophile's crime because he was also a victim. What?
It was refreshing to begin the hour with a little girl found instead of a little girl lost.
That in itself elevated this story. Svu could easily have had yet another half-episode manhunt for a missing child while the team hoped against hope that the child was found alive.
So the choice to begin with Bailey being found in the trunk immediately made "MIssing" feel fresh.
The story of a gay couple worrying about their kidnapped daughter and how to proceed now that she'd been found was also fascinating.

Angelina Jolie and Escape Artist Productions’ Todd Black and Steve Tisch will produce “Bright Path: The Jim Thorpe Story,” the upcoming feature about legendary Native American athlete Jim Thorpe.
Martin Sensmeier will executive produce and star as the world-renowned athlete. Abraham Taylor is also on board to produce. Taylor, Alex Nibley and Sterlin Harjo penned the original screenplay. Josh Aker will additionally executive produce, along with Justine Hunt for Box of Daylight Productions.
Regarded as one of the greatest athletes in the history of modern sports, Thorpe was also a member of the Sac and Fox Nation. In 1912, he won two Olympic gold medals representing the United States while his citizenship went unrecognized during a period of cultural genocide for Native Americans. He went on to play Major League Baseball, professional football and eventually founded the organization that became the NFL.

Last weekend, on Saturday Night Live, Tina Fey reprised her role as Sarah Palin. Now the former Governor of Alaska and one-time Vice Presidential candidate is returning the favor, in a teaser for a mock sitcom, 31 Rock. The promo parody, which you can watch below, was posted to Independent Journal.
Watch Palin play Lynn Melon, a spoof of Fey's 30 Rock character, Liz Lemon. Senator John McCain plays a takeoff of Alec Baldwin's Jack Donaghy, with Senator Lindsey Graham as a network page (he's no Kenneth, but will do in a pinch). 30 Rock's Kevin Brown reprises his Dot Com role.

Sarah Palin finally exacted some revenge on her serial impressionist Tina Fey by starring in a new video spoofing Fey's 30 Rock. In the "31 Rock" fake trailer, produced by the Independent Journal Review, Palin portrays "Lynn Melon" – a nod to Fey's Liz Lemon – "a TV writer who left a small town for the big city."
Palin isn't the only recognizable Republican to partake in the Fey-satirizing gag: Lindsey Graham – who just exited the presidential race – plays the 31 Rock page, while Palin's former running mate John McCain makes a quick cameo in...

Well, it was bound to happen: Sarah Palin, the famous Tina Fey character, tried to parody "30 Rock" with an update called "31 Rock." You're not surprised, but you're annoyed. Sure. But you'll be disappointed to learn which real "30 Rock" actor joined her for the ride. Dammit, Kevin "Dotcom" Brown! Don't encourage Sarah Palin to attempt comedy! I'm mad now. John McCain's dire cameo was the death knell here. Oh, you bleak, downtrodden mavericks. Never change.

Sarah Palin is giving Tina Fey a taste of her own silly meds.
Just days after Fey resurrected her Palin impersonation on Saturday Night Live, the former Alaska governor and VP candidate is turning the tables on her doppelganger courtesy of a mildly amusing 30 Rock parody produced by the right-leaning Independent Journal.

One neat personal note here is that, since I’ve been a card-carrying member of the Screen Actors Guild for 7 years, I get to cast my votes on all of these. Looking forward to that.

Making Jane Krakowski look stunning is not difficult. Making the men of "30 Rock" look funny is.
Costume designer Tom Broecker, who has been with "30 Rock" since the beginning, succeeds.
Among the more challenging actors for whom to find clothes that fit are Tracy's (Tracy Morgan) buddies, Grizz and Dot Com (Grizz Chapman, Kevin Brown).
"One is 6-10, and one is 6-8," Broecker tells Zap2it. "Here is the thing: With this guy, part of the problem -- the speed with which the show has to happen, we are at the mercy of what is made by manufacturers. Sometimes we have the luxury of making the crazy stuff. We are at the mercy of the Internet and four stores in New York. Plus-size clothing for men and women is virtually impossible."

Chicago – While some stand-up comics shield themselves with an ironic, larger-than-life persona, Kevin “Dot Com” Brown’s approach is more conversational. He mines the humor in his own life while developing a genial rapport with the audience. Some may still find him to be larger than life, but that would most likely be due to his formidable size.
After sharpening his acting chops on stage and screen, Brown got his big break when he was cast as “Dot Com,” the stage-trained actor in Tracy Morgan’s entourage on Tina Fey’s hit NBC sitcom, “30 Rock.” Shortly after Brown’s special appearance at April’s C2E2 convention, Hollywood Chicago spoke with him about his accidental entry into show business, his longtime friendship with Tracy Morgan and how his background as a bodyguard helped him land movie roles.

I want to laugh when I go to the movies. I know my reviews might seem otherwise -- the way I tend to crucify so-called comedies. I'm just picky and subjective. I also really want to support small comedy groups just starting out. I adored Channel 101 when it was kicking out the jams of Lonely Island and some of the other hilarious, brief televisions shows. But the magic doesn't work for them boys in the long form, as I would sooner suffer a broken glass colonic than rewatch Hot Rod or Macgruber. Yet, you'd be hard-pressed to find someone who does digital shorts funnier than those Lonely Island boys. Usually, when sketch comedians try to stretch the sketch to fill 88+ minutes, the material feels stale. Knowing this and with a trepidatious heart, I approached sketch comedy group Derrick Comedy's Mystery Team, a twisted take on a group of Encyclopedia...

30 Rock star Grizzwald Chapman is appealing for a kidney donor - after losing the 150 pounds (68 kilograms) he needed to shed before undergoing a transplant.
The funnyman suffers from sever hypertension and must undergo dialysis three times a week - but doctors informed the 505-pound (230-kilogram) star he would need to shape up before they could perform kidney replacement surgery.
Chapman, who plays Tracy Morgan's sidekick on the hit TV comedy, is now hoping to find a suitable organ donor after slimming down to 350 pounds (159 kilograms).
He tells U.S. newsman Larry King, "When I first came down with the sickness (hypertension), I was 505 pounds. And they will not do the kidney transplant at that weight. So I had to bring myself down to a reasonable weight, anywhere from 300 to 350 pounds, in order to have the kidney transplant. I'm actually right now at 350.
"Now it's just a process of getting the right person to donate the kidney because, being that I'm a larger man, I just can't take a smaller person's kidney. Everybody's kidney is the size of their fist and I have a pretty big fist. So I'm going to need a pretty decent sized kidney."
His 30 Rock co-star and close friend Kevin Brown is hoping he'll be a match - and he's offered his support by joining in Chapman's battle to get healthy.
Brown adds, "I have absolutely considered it (donating a kidney). We've really just got to see, you know. We've got to see if I'm healthy enough, because, you know, Grizz (was) over 500 pounds when we met. And that was in 2006 when we first met doing the pilot of 30 Rock.
"We both had problems with our weight. I wasn't as heavy as he was, but for him to get down and lose 150 pounds was very impressive. And I wanted to join him in his struggle to lose the weight. So I recently started (diet program) NutriSystem just so I could lose the weight and give him that moral support (to say), 'Hey, you're not the only one trying to lose the weight, I'm trying to lose it.'"...

James Franco is everywhere on TV these days. After a much-publicized stint on General Hospital (which may or may not be done yet – I'm a little behind on my soaps right now), he's making a guest appearance on the January 14th episode of 30 Rock. NBC has released four sneak peeks and a short synopsis of the episode, which you can view below. If only we could all take back a drunken New Year's Eve mistake. Or, you know, a drunken Wednesday night mistake.
Jack (Alec Baldwin) Devises A Plan To Take Back A Drunken New Year's Eve Mistake
After a wild New Year's Eve, Jack tries to undo the damage he caused from leaving a drunken message on an ex-lover’s voicemail.
In the meantime, Jenna (Jane Krakowski) pursues a faux relationship with actor James Franco (guest starring) in an attempt to cover up his embarrassing secret.
After “outing” her sheltered cousin to his family,...

30 Rock -- Something happens when you assemble the right group of actors and give them the right words to say. It's called magic — or, in this case, the cast of 30 Rock. Once again, the ensemble is being recognized for its outstanding work. Obviously, Alec Baldwin, Tina Fey, and the inimitable Tracy Morgan anchor the group. But as with all great casts, the supporting players shouldn't be overlooked — where would Taxi be without Latka and Reverend Jim? Rounding out the noteworthy 30 Rock crew are Jane Krakowski, Scott Adsit, Katrina Bowden, Maulik Pancholy, Lonny Ross, Judah Friedlander, Keith Powell, Kevin Brown, Grizz Chapman, and the hilarious — even when he just stands there grinning — Jack McBrayer. The team magic was never more apparent than in the recent "Christmas Special" episode. As Kenneth (McBrayer) and Tracy (Morgan) listen in the background, Liz Lemon (Fey) delivers toys to a needy family, explaining that she found them through...
