- Robert Boon was born on October 26, 1916 in Haarlem, Noord-Holland, Netherlands. He was an actor and writer, known for Queen of Blood (1966), Producers' Showcase (1954) and The Twilight Zone (1959). He died on January 13, 2015 in West Hills, California, USA.
- He volunteered for the Netherlands India oil battalion in 1943, subsequently trained in the USA, then Australia. Attached to the Australian Army, he participated in the invasion of Borneo. After VJ day, he went to Java and Sumatra and then returned to the Netherlands.
- Former member of the Motion Picture Academy's Foreign Language Nominating Committee.
