After missing out on Halloween III, iconic slasher Michael Myers made his triumphant return to the screen in 1988’s Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers – and you can here all about that in the video found Here. Halloween 4 had a shocking cliffhanger ending. Our little heroine Jamie Lloyd picked up a pair of scissors and attacked her adoptive mother, seeming to have inherited the evil killer instinct of her uncle Michael Myers. Some fans were disappointed that the following year’s Halloween 5 (get it Here) brushed aside the idea of Jamie becoming a killer. Maybe they would have been satisfied with the alternative script for the sequel that was written by Shem Bitterman, Halloween 5: The Killer Inside Me. That’s the unmade Halloween sequel we’re digging into with the new episode of the Wtf Happened to This Unmade Horror Movie video series, which you can...

Directed by Dominique Othenin-Girard from a screenplay he wrote with Michael Jacobs (with Shem Bitterman also receiving credit for writing a previous draft), Halloween 5 has the following synopsis:

Whitney is a Whitney Houston biopic airing tonight on Lifetime. That description pretty much loads the viewer up with preconceived notions, and it would be silly to pretend that this TV movie entirely neutralizes them. Shem Bitterman's script is filled with expository clunkers ("What about that Whitney, huh? Who'd've thought she'd become a movie star?"). You've seen the rise-and-fall-and-partial-redemption narrative done in Lifetime style: the fights, the tears, the reconciliation. And there's nothing onscreen that can't be learned or understood from reading a book or magazine article about Houston. Why, then, is this relatively short movie so strangely powerful? A lot of it comes from the way actress Angela Bassett, making her directorial debut, approaches the material. As an artist, she doesn't lean on TV movie formulas. She knows this is basically a melodrama, so she places the tumultuous relationship between lovers-turned-spouses Whitney Houston (Yaya DaCosta) and Bobby Brown...

Bobby Brown will discuss his ex-wife Whitney Houston on Lifetime this Saturday, after the network airs its biopic on the deceased singer.
The one-hour special, “Bobby Brown: Remembering Whitney,” will seat Brown across from “Access Hollywood’s” Shaun Robinson for a no-holds-barred interview.
“The conversation will cover the couple’s powerfully intense relationship while divulging Brown’s first-hand account of their marriage, from their greatest accomplishments and happiest moments to what really drove their romance together … and apart,” Lifetime said of the special, which is produced by Peacock Productions.

If there's anyone who knows how to convey roller coaster (and occasionally drug-addled) romance, it's Angela Bassett. Having plumbed the depths of Tina Turner's tumultuous relationship with Ike in "What's Love Got to Do With It," Bassett is now stepping behind the camera to helm a movie about another seriously messed-up relationship -- the one between the late Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown. Fittingly, Lifetime, the network known for digging into the nitty gritty of relationship angst, is set to air "Whitney Houston" in 2015. Though many of us remember a comically off-the-rails couple from the reality series "Being Bobby Brown" (highlight moment: Houston asking her husband to assist her with her constipation), the movie aims to take a more serious angle, following their romance from the time the couple met to their courtship and marriage. Whether the movie will end with their divorce or Houston's death has not been revealed.

Lifetime has greenlighted Whitney Houston (working title), an original movie about the tragic music superstar who died in 2012. Helmed by Angela Bassett in her directorial debut, Whitney Houston is set for a 2015 premiere. It chronicles the tumultuous relationship between Houston and singer-songwriter Bobby Brown — from the time they first met at the very height of their celebrity through their courtship and rocky marriage, all during Whitney’s meteoric rise as a singer, actress and model. “I have such regard for both Whitney’s and Bobby’s amazing talents and accomplishments, and I feel a responsibility in the telling of their story,” said Bassett. “Their humanity and bond fascinates us all.” Produced by The Sanitsky Co., Whitney Houston comes from executive producer Larry Sanitsky and writer Shem Bitterman, the team behind Lifetime’s 2013 movie Betty & Coretta. That telepic told the dual real-life stories of Coretta Scott King (Bassett) and Dr. Betty Shabazz...

With the economy the way it is today, it’s hard to find a job. Sometimes, it almost seems like the only thing to do is rob a bank or find somebody who’s willing to pay to marry you for a green card. It’s tempting, I get that, really I do. But what happens when you get desperate enough that you would actually choose to undertake one of these ideas? That’s when you find The Job.
In The Job, Bubba Brady (played by Patrick Flueger) is that desperate. He’s been in and out of work for several months now, and it’s looking more and more like he won’t be able to afford to marry his girlfriend (Taryn Manning) for a long time. Then Bubba meets Jim. Jim is a drifter who knows a guy that may have a job open. Bubba is thrilled. He...

How desperate does a man get before he agrees to do the unthinkable? How low must you fall before you allow yourself to get caught up in something immoral, illegal, and just plain dangerous?
These themes are barely touched on as we encounter Bubba (Patrick Flueger), a jobless, down on his luck guy in a nameless small city in the low budget dark film The Job. Based on a 1998 stage play by Shem Bitterman, who went on to script and direct this adaptation, the story is a slow act of seduction.
While sitting in the coffee shop where his long-time love Joy (Taryn Manning) works as a waitress, he is befriended by a drifting salesman named Perriman (Ron Perlman), who gives him a job lead. That begins the long, torturous descent from just plain lost to lost, confused, and crossing the line between good and evil.

Hamsterdam, MD - News at 4:20. As part of the celebration for the upcoming season of Weeds, Glick University polled over 4,000 Americans about what TV News personalities they wanted to see get high during a broadcast.
Naturally there were ground rules including the disqualifications of news organizations that contain notorious on air potheads. This meant no votes were collected for the cast of The Daily Show, Colbert Report and Fox and Friends. You think Steve Doocey is sober? Hard to think that any of those folks have eyes that aren’t pied 24-7.
10, Bill O’Reilly (Fox News) had a lot of folks who reacted that it’d be like, “Dude, I’m getting high with dad.” Of course this initial elation is cut down with the horrifying fact of “Dude, I’m getting high with dad and it’s just not someone I need to party with.”

Few films garner a strong enough impact to merit a “classic” label. Even fewer obtain followings large enough to warrant the making of nine sequels. John Carpenter is one of the very few in this business who can lay claim to both accomplishments. Though Halloween began as a small independent feature, it’s now grown into an undeniably successful franchise, and with the release of Rob Zombie’s Halloween 2 reboot just around the corner, it doesn’t appear Halloween’s momentum is anywhere near slowing.
The Beginning (1978)
In 1978 John Carpenter and Debra Hill poured the artistic cement that would act as a foundation for what would ultimately become labeled horrors slasher sub-genre (there were a few excellent slasher films preceding Carpenter‘s work, but all failed to grab the attention that Halloween captured), a now pivotal piece of the cinematic related horror puzzle. Ron Perlman, Taryn Manning, Joe Pantoliano and Patrick Flueger are starring in Shem Bitterman's darkly comic drama The Job.
Bitterman is adapting his 1998 play about a hapless man named Bubba (Flueger) who is desperate to find a job and marry the woman he loves (Manning). A drifter (Perlman) hooks him up with a slick employment agent (Pantoliano), but after agreeing to the job, Bubba finds that he is in over his head.
Production on the indie film begins today in Detroit, making it one of the first films to take advantage of Michigan's new 40% refundable or transferable tax credit law.
"Job" is produced by Kiki Goshay, exec producer of the Melvin Van Peebles docu "How to Eat Your Watermelon in White Company (and Enjoy it)."...

Jenna Fischer has named and shamed Hollywood playwright/screenwriter Shem Bitterman for questioning her "real actress" status when she refused to shoot an explicit sex scene.
The star of the U.S. version of TV hit The Office was a newcomer to movie capital Los Angeles when she met the writer at a party, and she will never forget his comments, which left her in tears.
She tells Playboy magazine, "I had been living in Los Angeles for about a year and was a member of a theatre company. One night, after a play, I went to a party and ran into the playwright.
"He said, 'What's your story?' I said, 'I'm from St. Louis. I just got here. I want to be an actress.'
He said, 'I'm writing a film, and I think you'd be great for it. But I have a question for you - would you ever do a raunchy sex scene in a movie? Like really raunchy, with nudity?'
"I kind of laughed and said, 'Well, I wouldn't do anything I wouldn't be proud to show my parents.' And he said, 'Well, you're not a real actress, then.' I was stunned.
"He said, 'A real actress would say yes. A real actress would p**s herself onstage if that's what it took. Sylvester Stallone did porn (1970's pre-fame The Party At Kitty and Stud's, later retitled The Italian Stallion). Shelley Winters p**sed herself onstage.
"'Every play, every movie I write has nudity in it. You know why? Because that's how I know if I'm working with real actors. You're not a real actress. You should just go home. You don't have what it takes.'
