Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s legal battle over their lucrative French winery, Chateau Miraval, has escalated as Jolie claimed Pitt’s request to see her past NDAs as abusive. Jolie earlier argued in courts that she refused to sign a deal with the actor over the estate due to an expansive NDA that allegedly tried to silence her from speaking about any abuse allegations. Pitt filed a motion in response to this argument to turn over all her past NDAs to his lawyers.

Jolie’s attorneys have claimed that turning over these NDAs would be an invasion of privacy for the third parties involved in a deal with her. Pitt’s side argued that these NDAs would help in proving if Pitt’s expansive NDA was a deal breaker for the actress in selling her stakes to the Troy actor.

We were all a little shocked when it was reported last week that Quentin Tarantino would be scrapping The Movie Critic, which was supposed to be his tenth and final film. It remains to be seen what will take the place of The Movie Critic, but THR has a few plot details on what could have been, including a meta-twist which would have seen a young Tarantino making an appearance.
We never really knew all that much about The Movie Critic, only that it would be set in California in 1977 and would be “based on a guy who really lived, but was never really famous, and he used to write movie reviews for a porno rag.” THR’s report states that Tarantino was considering using the project as a way to bid goodbye to his previous movies, which would have existed in the same era as The Movie Critic. “That way,...

Pauly Shore said he “was up all night crying” due to Richard Simmons continuing to publicly distance himself from a biopic that would star Shore as the fitness guru.
“I just read that a man that I don’t know is writing my bio pic starring Pauly Shore,” Simmons wrote on his verified Facebook page earlier this week. “I do not approve this movie. I am in talks with major studios to create my own bio pic with some help. Wait for this movie.”
Simmons previously said that he was not involved with the biopic and didn’t give Shore “permission” for it, right after it was announced that a feature film about the fitness icon, backed by the Wolper Organization, was in development.
“You guys, I was up all night crying regarding Richard Simmons’ tweet,” Shore wrote on his Instagram Thursday. “Richard, how do you not approve of this movie?...

The upcoming biopic of Richard Simmons starring Pauly Shore took a big step forward earlier this week when it was announced that Jordan Allen-Dutton (Robot Chicken) had signed on to write the script, but the subject of the film isn’t having it.

Angelina Jolie is responding to Brad Pitt‘s latest request in their faceoff over the sale of Miraval, a winery that they shared joint ownership of in France while together.
The high-profile exes have been going back and forth over Angelina‘s attempt to sell off her share in the company for years now. There have been quite a few developments this month.
In legal documents, Angelina alleged that Brad refused to let her sell her shares without signing an “expansive” NDA. It was alleged that the agreement might prohibit her from discussing past incidents of abuse in the relationship.
Brad‘s team responded in court and accused Angelina of putting up a “smokescreen” to distract from the issue at hand. They also asked the actress to provide evidence of all of the NDAs that Angelina has signed and had others on her team sign.
Her team responded to the request.

The world of cinema is mostly colorful and bright and it gives you a chance to escape your reality and dive deeper into different sorts of fantasies. It’s so inspiring to see the good always winning despite all the obstacles and for example love beating it all in a romantic comedy.
However, real life is not always like that, that’s why along with the feel-good movies there are also many films that hit hard. It’s especially painful to watch movies like that because deep inside, you still have hope that everything’s going to work out for the best for the main characters. But sometimes it just doesn't…

Having won a BAFTA (and landed an Oscar nomination) for her role as Colin Farrell’s kind-hearted but cynical — and distinctly less donkey-friendly — sister in Martin McDonagh’s darkly comic “The Banshees of Inisherin,” Kerry Condon is back in her native Ireland for her next film role.

But it’s not long before she’s up against Liam Neeson, whose demeanor as a quiet widow and secondhand book dealer masks a secret identity as a local hitman for Colm Meaney’s village mobster. In a scene early in The Fall Guy, a nameless crewmember buckles Ryan Gosling’s seat belt as his character is about to attempt a cannon roll, a classic car stunt, on the set of a fictional science fiction movie called Metal Storm. Gosling plays Hollywood stuntman Colt Seavers, who is reluctantly returning to the film business after an injury, but in many ways the real star of the scene is the background actor buckling him in, Logan Holladay. Though his screen time lasts only a few moments, Holladay was the real-life stunt driver for Gosling — the one who actually steered a Jeep Grand Cherokee down a Sydney beach and rolled it eight and a half times on the sand, breaking the Guinness world record of seven rolls set by Adam Kirley, the driver of James Bond’s Aston Martin in 2006’s Casino Royale.

Quentin Tarantino’s Stubborn Adherence to the 10-Film Limit It is no secret that Quentin Tarantino has consistently maintained he would only make 10 films before retiring. This decision, based heavily on preserving a so-called pristine legacy, strikes many as not just overly cautious but detrimental. The impact of this self-imposed limit on his reputation and influence in filmmaking is profound and concerning. A Glimpse into What Could Have Been with ‘The Movie Critic’ The cancellation of ‘The Movie Critic’, a potential finale to Tarantino’s illustrious career, exemplifies the creative stifling brought by this rule. Quentin Tarantino’s career was supposed to be concluded with an epic tenth film pretty soon, but now it’s all obscure again since the proclaimed director dashed it all to pieces canceling his upcoming movie.
Numerous speculations about the never-happening project’s creation process and its plot have never stopped circulating ever since the news broke, but one recently emerged detail will surely absorb everyone’s attention again — mostly due to the fact that it looks pretty much similar to what the MCU has been up to recently.
According to The Hollywood Reporter’s thorough investigation, Tarantino initially had at least four different ideas for his final film The Movie Critic — starting from the one that would focus on real-life movie critic Pauline Kael and then going to the expansion of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’s universe by telling the story of Cliff Booth portrayed by Brad Pitt.

“I have no illusions,” Oscar winning-director Damien Chazelle said on a podcast in March. “I won’t get a budget of Babylon size any time soon, or at least not on this next one.”
Chazelle was reflective about his 2022 Paramount Pictures epic that starred Margot Robbie and Brad Pitt, received mixed reviews and grossed $63 million globally against a reported budget of $80 million. “Certainly, in financial terms, Babylon didn’t work at all,” Chazelle said. “Maybe I won’t be able to get [the next] one made. I have no idea. We’ll have to wait and see.”
That ambivalent sentiment isn’t an outlier. Directors — from Oscar winners like Chazelle to up-and-comers — are in a precarious position when it comes to major studio projects. Not that this is new. Pop quiz hot shot: What’s the best action movie of the past 20 or 30 years that never received a cinematic sequel? Nope, it’s not Speed. Is it Wanted? Nobody? The Accountant? How about Knight and Day or American Made? While the latter comes from director Doug Liman, we’d argue that the correct answer is Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Liman’s eminently watchable assassin thriller that continues to shine thanks to the explosive chemistry between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, two luminous movie stars who met and fell in love during production. Although the movie earned decent reviews and grossed nearly half a billion dollars worldwide, Mr. & Mrs. Smith never received an official sequel or cinematic spinoff and is often remembered for the juicy tabloid gossip surrounding its two superstars.

As far as iconic franchises go, George Miller’s Mad Max films are right up there among Hollywood’s favorite film series. Similar to his namesake George Lucas and his brainchild Star Wars, Miller created the dystopian action series back in 1979 with Mel Gibson, which was followed by three successful sequels in the 80s.

Last week, Quentin Tarantino shocked the entertainment industry by ashcanning what was to have been his 10th film, “The Movie Critic.” The two-time Oscar-winner and highly influential auteur has yet to publicly comment on why this has all gone down, but the snoops at The Hollywood Reporter have dug up some details.
For starters, there’s ample evidence of Tarantino developing something and then pulling the plug in the past. You can look at the Wikipedia entry for the man’s unrealized projects and do a whole lot of imagining. It’s just rare that something gets this far along in the process—production was due to start at the end of this year, and a tax deal had already been set up with the California Film Commission. Although no distributor was officially on board, there was an understanding that Tarantino would work again with Sony, after the successful collaboration...

When Quentin Tarantino makes a film, critics and audiences sit up and take notice. The quirky genius has carved a niche for himself with his unique brand of writing and storytelling that has won him a lot of acclaim. With his seamless blending of genres coupled with the ability to incorporate heavy dialogue with stylized entertainment, Tarantino has proved that there is no one like him in the industry.

Since his 2019 film Once Upon A Time in Hollywood, fans have been eagerly awaiting the director’s next venture namely The Movie Critic, which he stated would be his 10th and final film. Unfortunately, it has now been confirmed that the project has been officially shelved. But seeing the certain possibilities that Tarantino had for the narrative, disappointed fans believe that this possibility may not have worked.

It is apparently official: Quentin Tarantino's 10th and final film will not be "The Movie Critic." I say "apparently" because Tarantino briefly abandoned "The Hateful Eight" when the screenplay leaked to the internet, so maybe "The Movie Critic" still has a shot at going before a camera. But this feels final. It sounds like the concept got away from him, and he would've done the one thing he's talked about but avoided his entire career: he was going to make a sequel.
If The Hollywood Reporter has their story straight, "The Movie Critic" began life as a 1970s character study that was, in Tarantino's words, "based on a guy who really lived but was never really famous, and he used to write movie reviews for a porno rag" before expanding into a Hollywood yarn that involved Brad Pitt's Hollywood stuntman Cliff Booth from "Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood.

Late last week, filmmaker Quentin Tarantino shocked the film industry. All set to start shooting his tenth and would-be final film, “The Movie Critic,” or at least a handful of scenes to be eligible for a tax credit and then resume in 2025, the filmmaker pivoted, changed course, and then canceled the film.
While some details leaked in the aftermath, the film apparently morphed into a “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood” spin-off featuring Brad Pitt’s Cliff Booth stuntman character, thanks to Tarantino’s endless rewriting, a new in-depth piece on the cancelation of the film by the Hollywood Reporter is separating some of the facts from the fictions.

“I trust myself as a writer, I trust my process,” Quentin Tarantino declared onstage at the Adobe Max creative conference in 2016. “I never try to take anything out too soon. If I do, I realize it, and I put it back.” The acclaimed filmmaker added: “Not every film needs to be made. Not every movie should be made.”
And one of those movies that will not be made — as the world learned April 17 — is The Movie Critic, which was billed as Tarantino’s 10th and final film. The project initially focused on a writer working for a fictional porn magazine in the late 1970s and then it quietly evolved, amid a flurry of rewrites, into something resembling a spinoff of his ninth film, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (with some potential meta twists, as we’ll explain later).

“If you hear a fire alarm, take it seriously,” the woman at the podium announced. “Proceed calmly, but exit swiftly.
This was a step beyond the standard “put away your cell phones” introduction, but this was no ordinary movie––we were seated to watch an original nitrate print of George Sidney’s rousing 1950 musical Annie Get Your Gun. Thankfully, Netflix––in their three-year, gorgeous renovation of the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood––retained its ability to screen nitrate, but if Inglourious Basterds taught us anything, it’s that you can trap and kill a hell of a lot of people with ultra-flammable nitrate stock if things go wrong.
It was the most danger I’ve ever been in while watching Howard Keel romance a woman under disreputable circumstances, and he did that often enough. The risk was plenty worthwhile to see the colors of this ostentatious, gaudy, not-a-little-bit-wacky musical really pop...

This article contains spoilers for both "Shōgun" the 2024 TV show and the 1975 novel.
When I first finished James Clavell's novel "Shōgun," the comparison that immediately came to mind was Homer's "Iliad." The epic Greek poem is famous for recounting the events of the Trojan War, a war that is still famous thousands of years later. I was hardly an expert at Greek mythology before reading "The Iliad," but going in I already knew two big events: that the fierce warrior Achilles (who was portrayed by Brad Pitt in Wolfgang Petersen's "Troy") died near the end of the Trojan War, and that the Greek soldiers won by hiding inside a giant wooden horse and tricking the Trojans into letting them behind their city walls.
The latter was the big moment I was looking forward to. The Trojan horse is such an iconic image; it's still referenced constantly in...

It’s been less than 12 years since Dan Stevens raised a middle finger to the British aristocracy, quitting “Downton Abbey” as the show neared its Emmy-amassing zenith and setting sail for America with his family. As he admits, he had “absolutely no idea” what was going to happen to him.
“There was no roadmap,” the 41-year-old actor explains with frank honestly about a decision that, at the time, was considered by many to be sheer lunacy. “I left ‘Downton’ with a blank slate. It was just, ‘I think I want to do other things.’ But I didn’t know what that looked like.”
To have an idea of what that currently looks like, anyone need just head to their nearest cinema, where Stevens is going head-to-head against himself in two of the biggest studio releases of the season. In what has become something of a calling card for the Brit...

Actor Anne Hathaway has played a variety of roles since her breakthrough film The Princess Diaries. Not too long ago, she joined Sandra Bullock and many other stars for the action thriller Ocean’s 8. She not only enjoyed her time on the feature, but was pleasantly surprised by the sisterhood she experienced there.

Hathaway found herself playing a bad guy in the 2018 feature Ocean’s 8. Similar to its predecessors led by Brad Pitt, Ocean’s 8 featured a team of women brought together for a major bank heist. Hathaway’s character would be the target for the professional thieves, which included the likes of Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, and Rihanna. But although Hathaway wouldn’t be teaming up with the other actors onscreen, there was plenty of solidarity between her and her co-stars behind the scenes.

Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill films are considered cult classics and amongst the director’s most iconic works. While the two parts of the blood-soaked revenge drama were filmed together, they were released within 6 months of each other owing to the filmmaker’s reluctance to fit the narrative into one film.

Kill Bill: Volume 2 completed 20 years on April 16th, and was a fitting finale to the saga of The Bride played to perfection by Uma Thurman. In an interview a few years ago, Tarantino had a discussion with his lead star and spoke about the scenes he would have hypothetically cut off if he had decided to condense his story into just one film.

From beginning his career as a rapper to becoming one of Hollywood’s most bankable stars, Mark Wahlberg’s journey to superstardom has been inspirational. While the actor has done a gamut of roles, his love for the action genre is well-documented over the years in films like Shooter, the Transformers series, Patriots Day, and many more.

Wahlberg has been a hardcore sports fan, especially when it comes to boxing and the UFC in which he has also invested in professionally. Despite the celebrity continuing to maintain a ripped physique at age 52, he felt nailing this character now was a bit out of his reach.

Samuel L. Jackson is revealing why he loves working with Quentin Tarantino.
Amid the Pulp Fiction 30th Anniversary celebration, Jackson opened up about why he likes being part of Tarantino’s films.
“Tarantino films are very different in that, yes, they are character-driven,” Jackson told AP on April 18. “So when you read a Tarantino script, you all of a sudden find yourself knowing you’re going to have a lot to say about who you are and how you feel about things rather than reading five pages of, ‘Ok, drive fast, look this way, the car is going over a curb.'”
He continued, “So there are a lot of more things that you have to embody as a character and bring with you to do it. The fact that I spent years and years in theater helped me a lot to embrace what Quentin does. And he appreciates it...

Brad Pitt was the King of Hollywood for many years and still enjoys a lot of royal privileges in the industry. He’s adored and cult-followed… But at the same time, many great movies he starred in went under the radar for the people who enjoy his works.
Thankfully, Netflix is there to help all of us get a grip and see more hidden gems the biggest actor of the 2000s was part of.
Brad Pitt’s Western War Movie Killed It
It’s a scary number, but Legends of the Fall premiered 30 years ago, back in 1994. Directed by Edward Zwick, this Western war drama featured an amazing cast: apart from Brad Pitt, it had Anthony Hopkins, Aidan Quinn, Julia Ormond and others.
Legends of the Fall follows a family of a former US Army soldier that moved to a ranch in Montana together with their Cree Native American friends.

Young comic book fans might not realize the significance of the bloody battles and high drama shown in Frank Miller’s graphic novel, but watching Zack Snyder’s timeless epic 300 will never disappoint. But tracing back to Snyder’s 2006 landmark drama that broke new ground at the time of its release, the director revealed how he was initially rejected.

Chicago – “The Ministry Of Ungentlemanly Warfare” wants to be “Inglourious Basterds” in the worst way … but Henry Cavill is no Brad Pitt, and Guy Ritchie is no Quentin Tarantino. It’s a featherweight romp about British rogues killing Nazis that’s arch, witty, and completely forgettable. It goes down easy enough, but seems unlikely to inspire the love and devotion it so clearly craves.
Rating: 3.0/5.0
The film has a toehold’s basis in fact, focusing on declassified details of a secret group of colorful agents embarking on black ops for Prime Minister Winston Churchhill during World War II. Henry Cavill stars as the dashing leader of the group who are there to kill Nazis and look good doing it. He’s a handsome and well educated military man (and spy) who doesn’t play by anyone’s rules but his own, yet is devoted to King and Country all the same.

I never liked Tom Ripley but I keep meeting him.
I’ve “met” Ripley in five films, and he’s now the protagonist of a somber eight-part Netflix series. So filmmakers clearly find his character intriguing. Even though he has no character.
That, in itself, reminds me that Hollywood is suffering the same problem as Washington: an absence of vital young protagonists. Voters are confronted by an election that’s really a rerun, likely opened by a debate no one wants to witness.
In filmmaking, the worldwide success of Oppenheimer told us that a complex story becomes more interesting if it’s also about someone interesting. Yet movies with vibrant young protagonists seem to be losing their moment.

With all the abrupt updates about Quentin Tarantino’s canceled tenth movie, there are so far no possible perspectives for where the director’s final touch in the cinema industry could go — but, as more details are coming in, it turns out that Tarantino’s initial plan for the final movie was abandoned long before the news about it broke a couple of days ago.
On top of that, the director considered a step towards his previous story which could surely cause a lot of excitement among his fans — despite that, this idea was also doomed to stay on the shelf.
Thus, The Hollywood Reporter’s writer Borys Kit has recently spilled some tea about Quentin Tarantino’s hectic change of plans over the course of last months.

David Fincher is a philosopher as well as a perfectionist. When asked about the significance of his 8K remastering of “Seven” (premiering April 19 at the Chinese IMAX in 4K as part of the TCM Classic Film Festival), he told IndieWire, “If you think of it in string theory, it’s like a volumetric capture of where all these careers were at, and what these people wanted and needed and infused the thing with.”
Fincher was referring, of course, to Morgan Freeman, Brad Pitt, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kevin Spacey, and the rest of the cast and crew who made his breakout 1995 serial killer neo-noir. The film was a brilliant analog product of the era (with only seven weeks of prep) but also ahead of its time in conveying a dark, creepy, nihilistic police procedural that got under our skin like no other film.
“It is what it is, warts and all,” Fincher said.

The film was a brilliant analog product of the era (with only seven weeks of prep) but also ahead of its time in conveying a dark, creepy, nihilistic police procedural that got under our skin like no other film.

Tarantino llevaba meses perfeccionando “The Movie Critic”.

A Once Upon A Time In Hollywood spin-off, and The Movie Critic: both films reportedly films killed off by Quentin Tarantino.
Well, we didn’t have to wait long for more details to emerge regarding the shock cancellation of Quentin Tarantino’s The Movie Critic. Yesterday, we covered the report that stated Tarantino had abandoned the plans for his final film and would instead begin on an entirely new project. According to The Hollywood Reporter’s Borys Kit it now looks like Tarantino has actually scrapped two films.
The report states that Tarantino actually decided to abandon The Movie Critic months ago. Late last year, he instead decided to change course and instead wrote a spin-off film connected to 2019’s Once Upon A Time In… Hollywood. That story focused on Cliff Booth’s stuntman character played by Brad Pitt and was separate to The Movie Critic.
However, at some...

Sean Connery’s Failed 2003 Movie Is Actually Quite Good?
Starring alongside Peta Wilson, Stuart Townsend, and a plethora of actors, Connery portrayed the role of Qauterman in the 2003 film. Based on the story of an adventurer who is recruited by the government, the film is loosely based on the superhero comics that we adore today.
