Favorite Movie Heroine of 2023

Women and girls continue to be underrepresented in movies: they still get only about one-third of speaking roles. This continues to negatively impact actresses, as well as the self-esteem of female audience members. There is reason to celebrate, though: There are more leading or co-leading roles for women and girls in top grossing films than ever: in 2022, it was 44%, an all time high. Let's support these films so the movie industry moves towards more equality. We can start by celebrating these female protagonists: which of these heroines from 2023 is your favorite?
