- DirectorCraig GillespieStarsJon HammAasif MandviAlan ArkinA sports agent stages an unconventional recruitment strategy to get talented Indian cricket players to play Major League Baseball.Pretty much the best of 2014. Almost nobody ever talks about it, and that's just too bad. Good acting, good story, its unforgettable in my opinion.
Grade: A - DirectorPhil LordChristopher MillerStarsChris PrattWill FerrellElizabeth BanksAn ordinary LEGO construction worker, thought to be the prophesied as "special", is recruited to join a quest to stop an evil tyrant from gluing the LEGO universe into eternal stasis.Yet another good film of 2014. But its not my all-time favorite. There can be a few parts that can be better, but still.........
Grade: B - DirectorJames GunnStarsChris PrattVin DieselBradley CooperA group of intergalactic criminals must pull together to stop a fanatical warrior with plans to purge the universe.Like the Lego movie, good, but the story's not completely amazing. But a good 2014, at least.
Grade: B - DirectorPierre CoffinChris RenaudStarsSteve CarellKristen WiigBenjamin BrattWhen Gru, the world's most super-bad turned super-dad has been recruited by a team of officials to stop lethal muscle and a host of Gru's own, he has to fight back with new gadgetry, cars, and more minion madness.First one may be better, but this is still pretty good. It has good very humor.
Grade B- - DirectorDan ScanlonStarsBilly CrystalJohn GoodmanSteve BuscemiA look at the relationship between Mike Wazowski and James P. "Sully" Sullivan during their days at Monsters University, when they weren't necessarily the best of friends.Pixar's first prequel. Its not the best Pixar film around, but still, its something I like to watch.
Grade: B- - DirectorThor FreudenthalStarsLogan LermanAlexandra DaddarioBrandon T. JacksonIn order to restore their dying safe haven, the son of Poseidon and his friends embark on a quest to the Sea of Monsters, to find the mythical Golden Fleece, all the while trying to stop an ancient evil from rising. This movie is way too fast paced. I mean, all the event are moving very quickly. I guess 2 movies are enough, producers.
Grade: C- - DirectorCal BrunkerStarsBrendan FraserSarah Jessica ParkerJessica AlbaAstronaut Scorch Supernova finds himself caught in a trap when he responds to an SOS from a notoriously dangerous alien planet, Earth. One word: mediocre. The writing could of been better, because its forgettable. Oh well, at least they tried.
Grade: D+ - DirectorBarry CookNeil NightingaleStarsCharlie RoweKarl UrbanAngourie RiceSee and feel what it was like when dinosaurs ruled the Earth, in a story where an underdog dino triumphs to become a hero for the ages.Ugh. Why keep talking?! Why the dialogue?! No talking please, so that we could get some good action.
Grade: D - DirectorJimmy HaywardStarsWoody HarrelsonOwen WilsonDan FoglerA pair of turkeys discover a time machine and decide to use it to travel to the first Thanksgiving, to take turkeys off the menu forever.Uh oh. Some more mediocre animated films. Now we have this boring, dumb, and very stupid film that's forgettable.
Grade: D - DirectorGareth EdwardsStarsAaron Taylor-JohnsonElizabeth OlsenBryan CranstonThe world is beset by the appearance of monstrous creatures, but one of them may be the only one who can save humanity.Boring!!!!!!!!!!! Its just a bunch of talk, talk, talk. Less talking, more action!
