Jennifer Elizabeth is 3rd generation of the entertainment business. Her maternal grandma, Mary Ellen was a MGM Goldwyn Girl, model and actress, later being Lucille Ball's stand-in on The Lucy Show. She was married to a Tommy Dorsey musician. They had 2 children, the daughter, Madonna Joy, is Jennifer's mother. Madonna put herself through college by dabbling in modeling, stand-in work, photo doubling, and being an extra. She was one of Spelling's Bikini Bunnies, working background on his numerous shows. She met stuntman, Gary Davis, doing background on a show while he was stunt doubling. A few years later they were married in Woodland Hills and had Jennifer in Dec. Jennifer got her SAG card at only 9 months old, on George Romeo's movie 'Knightriders' and credited as Baby Jennifer, beneath Stephen Kings name. (He made a cameo in the movie) Shortly after, Jennifer's parents divorced, yet stayed friends and co-parenting. Jennifer dabbled in a few more stunt kid roles and local commercials before moving up to Carmel with her mother and sisters to have a normal childhood. There, she still partook in drama and local theater. She won first place (and $100) for the Monterey Fisherman's Wharf first Best Mermaid costume, which her father designed. In high school, besides doing theater, she was also in yearbook and wrote for the school newspaper at Carmel High. One of her articles made it into the local paper and Jennifer picked up a Youth Writing Award for it at a small ceremony in Santa Cruz. She also wrote and illustrated a children's book that won 3rd place and made the paper again, going to schools reading it. (It is currently being made into a small budget animation short.) Jennifer moved back to Los Angeles after graduating from Carmel High to pursue her acting goals. She went to Pierce College while taking on Central Casting BG and stand-in roles to learn more about the business, since her dad wanted her to learn from the bottom up. She got her first featured role on "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch". She booked a recurring stunt role on Lifetime's "The Division" with then, unknowns Jon Hamm and Taraji P. Hansen. She followed that with a role on 'THe O.C." and a few stunt jobs in between. After having her daughter, she purchased her first of 4 custom made mermaid tails and fulfilled her passion as being a professional mermaid for friends and associates in the entertainment business at their private parties. She booked a commercial for Australian water as a mermaid. While still taking on low-budget movies and commercial work, she would still make appearances as a mermaid. Her worlds happily collided when a casting notice went out for a stunt woman with her own mermaid tail to work on the new Nickelodeon show, "Knight Squad". Immediately, stunt professionals and stunt coordinators threw Jennifer's name in the mix and she was hired before even meeting anyone on the production. Jennifer currently is studying with a private acting coach as she is focusing on more acting roles. She is in the early process of developing a mermaid show. She works in production and also writes in her free time if not training actresses, models and her daughter's friends to be mermaids.- Jessica Parker Kennedy is a Canadian actress of film and television. This stunning and resourceful actress has been primarily a film player thus far. Only recently has she been opening herself up more to doing television (the series Gemini Division (2008), which she executive-produced), and animated voice-overs. Dawson's powerhouse talent stands out the most in edgy, urban filming that dates back to 1995 when she was only sixteen.
A rags-to-riches article entitled "Rosario Dawson: From Tenement to Tinseltown" probably says it all. Rosario was born on May 9, 1979 in New York City. Her mother, Isabel Celeste, of Puerto Rican and Afro-Cuban descent, is a singer, and her stepfather, who raised her, Greg Dawson, of Irish descent, is a construction laborer. Her parents, who married when both were teenagers, eventually divorced. Rosario and her younger brother, Clay Dawson, had it hard while growing up, and were cared for by family members, most of whom were poverty-stricken, and some of whom were HIV-positive.
Her career actually started as a child when she made a minor showing on the children's show, Sesame Street (1969). As the story goes, she was "discovered" as an adolescent on her front porch step by two photographers. One of them, Harmony Korine, was an aspiring screenwriter who thought the inexperienced sixteen-year-old was ideal for the controversial cult film Kids (1995), in which she would portray a sexually active adolescent. It took time for Rosario's film career to kick in after that, but by the late 1990s, she had nabbed several independent films. Since then, she has moved into main-stream hits (and misses) and has surprised viewers with her earthy, provocative, uninhibited approach to her roles.
Reflecting New York's tougher, tawdrier side as assorted streetwalkers, homeless mothers, drug addicts, etc., her film highlights have included Light It Up (1999), Edward Burns' Sidewalks of New York (2001), Spike Lee's 25th Hour (2002) and Shattered Glass (2003). For Oliver Stone, she portrayed the duped bride of Colin Farrell's famed B.C. Macedonian warrior, Alexander (2004) (as in "...the Great"), which featured a notoriously violent-tinged nude/sex scene.
Expanding her horizons beyond film, she has always expressed interest in singing. She hooked up with Prince for the re-release of his 1980s hit "1999" and appeared in The Chemical Brothers' video for the song "Out of Control" from the album "Surrender". She is also featured on the Outkast track, "She Lives in My Lap". On stage, she co-starred as Julia in a revival of "Two Gentlemen of Verona" at the Public Theater's "Shakespeare in the Park" and appeared in "The Vagina Monologues".
She lucked into and got to show off her singing chops in the film adaptation of the hit New York musical Rent (2005), when Daphne Rubin-Vega, the original Mimi, became pregnant and was unable to reprise her exotic dancer role. Rosario also appeared as a prostitute in the adaptation of the graphic novel Sin City (2005). Of late, she has turned to producing. One of those, Descent (2007), had her playing a college coed who is brutally attacked and raped by a fellow student. Her more popular ventures have thus far included the role of Valerie Brown in the live-action version of the comic strip Josie and the Pussycats (2001), the Will Smith starrer Men in Black II (2002), Eagle Eye (2008) with Shia LaBeouf and Seven Pounds (2008), again with Smith, in which she offered one of her more tender-hearted performances as a woman with a potentially fatal heart condition.
More recent millennium films opposite some of Hollywood's top leading movie men include the tense actioneer Unstoppable (2010) with Denzel Washington and Chris Pine; the comedy/fantasy Zookeeper (2011) opposite Dalekmania (1995); romantic dramedy 10 Years (2011) with Channing Tatum; crime drama Fire with Fire (2012) with Bruce Willis; romantic comedy Top Five (2014) with Chris Rock; and action adventure Zombieland: Double Tap (2019) with Woody Harrelson. She has also top-lined independent films with her own feisty characters such as the thriller Unforgettable (2017) and the title role in the dramedy Krystal (2017).
Focusing also on TV projects, Rosario has graced such action series/mini-series as Daredevil (2015), Iron Fist (2017) and The Defenders (2017), as well as the comedy Jane the Virgin (2014) and animated cartoon series The Last Kids on Earth (2019).
Off-camera, the still-single Dawson is highly active in political, social and environmental causes and has been involved with such organizations/charities/campaigns as the Lower East Side Girls Club, Global Cool, the O.N.E. Campaign, Oxfam, Amnesty International, Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays, Control Arms, International Rescue Committee, Voto Latino (which she founded), Conservation International, Doctors Without Borders, National Geographic Society, The Nature Conservancy and Save the Children. In October 2008, she lent her voice to the RESPECT! Campaign, a movement aimed at preventing domestic violence.- Actress

Isabel Oliver Marcus's breakthrough role as Allison on NBC's hit drama "This Is Us" is a classic Hollywood story of sudden success: In less than a week, she went from babysitting her brother to working alongside some of Hollywood's top stars. Although she had been living in Los Angeles for a year prior, Isabel and her mom were both visiting in Texas when the e-mail came through for an audition with NBC's Emmy-winning hit drama, "This Is Us." The role was very secretive, a recurring character known as "red-headed teen girl" and the audition designated that only those actors who were in Los Angeles and able to be in the casting room the next day should see the sides. Isabel wasn't even in Los Angeles, so her agents at Abrams Artists had to plead her case, ultimately convincing the casting team to let her submit a video read. She taped her audition on Thursday night, was "pinned" by the production on Friday, flew to Los Angeles alone on Saturday, had a "chemistry read" on Monday, and was working on the show Wednesday morning.
Like almost every "overnight" success, the role actually came to her after many years of hard work and serious study. Isabel began performing at age 3 and started actively studying her craft by 5th grade. Always at home with the camera, Isabel's remarkable hair color and willing disposition attracted the attention of photographers, and by age 8 she had appeared in advertising for Photo District News and in Hallmark Magazine. By the time "This Is Us" came calling, she had performed in Shakespeare plays (and won an award for Shakespeare monologues), musical theater, and numerous short films.
A native of San Antonio, Texas, Isabel grew up within walking distance of the Alamo and the storied River Walk in a small house under a big pecan tree. Reared in a lively neighborhood that featured a community of visual artists, writers, and performers, as well as immigrants, working people, and professionals, Isabel had a variety of personalities to use as role models for the characters she would create in her backyard. With three giant boxes of costumes her mother had collected from thrift stores, Isabel (an only child) constructed other characters by putting costumes on sticks and flowerpots and forced her family to watch her performances.
She spent her elementary and middle school years at San Antonio's arts and language charter school, Bonham Academy, where she learned Spanish and starred in numerous productions of its award-winning theater program. She won every performance competition she entered in San Antonio, including play festivals and Texas school competitions.

Dallas-area actress and talent coach Lar Park Lincoln helped Isabel shoot her TIU tape, Abrams' Domina Holbeck fought for her taped submission, and manager Addison Witt met her at the airport when she flew to Los Angeles: "Nobody does this by themselves" says Isabel, "I'm incredibly fortunate to have the support system of my community and honored to have people like Lar, Addison, and the team at Abrams on my side."
With "This Is Us" attracting attention and giving her the chance to learn from the best directors and best actors on television, Isabel Oliver Marcus is ready to take on new opportunities. Now her sights are firmly set on what comes next: Feature films top the "#goals" list.- Actress

Amy Smart was born in Topanga Canyon, California to Judy, who worked at a museum, and John Boden Smart, a salesman. She has German, English, and Irish ancestry.
Smart was a relatively new arrival when she first gained notice for her supporting roles in the 1999 hit teen films Varsity Blues (1999) and Outside Providence (1999). The Los Angeles native got her start in TV-movies and made her feature debut in Stephen Kay's The Last Time I Committed Suicide (1997), which was screened at 1997's Sundance Film Festival alongside Keanu Reeves. She was briefly seen in Paul Verhoeven's big-budget sci-fi actioner Starship Troopers (1997) with actor Casper Van Dien and had an impressive turn in the vastly different, quirkily independent How to Make the Cruelest Month (1998), in which she played Dot, the graceful golden girl who seduces the one-time boyfriend of her sister, troubled protagonist Bell (Clea DuVall). The by-the-numbers horror film Campfire Tales (1997) followed in 1997, along with the topically chilling but clumsily executed Internet stalker thriller Dee Snider's Strangeland (1998), written and produced by and starring the titular Twisted Sister frontman as a deranged torturer who meets his victims in web chatrooms. Amy reached her widest audience with a co-starring role opposite James Van Der Beek in Brian Robbins' surprise box office hit "Varsity Blues (1999)". She played Jules Harbor, a girl who longs for life beyond her small town's high-school-football-obsessed culture but is tied to it as sister of the injured star quarterback (Paul Walker) and girlfriend of his idealistic replacement (Van Der Beek). Her next role was that of Shawn Hatosy's upper-class love interest in Michael Corrente's poignant 1970s-era comedy "Outside Providence (1999)". Based on Peter Farrelly's novel, the film followed a working-class teen (Hatosy) sent by his abrasive but loving father (Alec Baldwin) to a tony prep school after running into trouble at home.- Actress

Olivia Rodrigo is a soulful artist with a rare gift for emotive and empathetic songwriting. "I think I'm good at knowing how people feel, how I feel, and being able to capture that," the Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter-actor shares. Her father had Filipino ancestry. Her mother had is German, English, Irish, and some Austrian ancestry.
Her keen sense for conveying feeling has served her well, thus far. Olivia is the star of the first two seasons of the Disney+ High School Musical series. Acting has been something of a new development for her. Singing since she was 4, Olivia took up acting based on a recommendation from her vocal coach. "Acting and music relate in that they are both about capturing feelings and moments as accurately as you can," she shares.
Olivia exudes an intriguing paradox of being both exuberantly youthful and, sagely, an old soul. She seeks authenticity and bold expression in her music. "My favorite songs are brutally honest and give a vivid look into the artist's life and mind," she says. "Honest storytelling is my ultimate goal." A select cross section of her influences include artists as diverse as Fiona Apple, Jack White, PJ Harvey, and Phoebe Bridgers. Olivia's worlds of acting, singing and songwriting meet when she performs two original songs she wrote, as well as HSM classics, on the series.
"Writing for HSM was surreal, to say the least. The fact that they gave a 16-year-old a shot to write for such a big project is so awesome." She continues: "I think the perspective of a teenage girl is so powerful, and something that doesn't always gets harnessed in its full capacity, too."
As a kindergarten-er, Olivia took voice lessons, and then later piano lessons. At age 12, she began playing guitar. It was during this time that she began writing songs. "I remember coming up with melodies and lyrics and writing them down in this pink fluffy notebook that I had won at some arcade. I still keep that notebook on my bedside table," she says, laughing.- Actress
