- Stanley Philby works for a private military corporation tasked with finding and distributing the formula for a bioweapon being secretly developed by the government. In constant communication with his commanding officer, Scott Edsel, Stanley attempts to infiltrate a chemicals research facility to find either the weapon, or its creator, Elizabeth Graves. Stanley botches the operation, and has to fight his way through the facility while still looking for the weapon. He stumbles upon a video research log that reveals not only that Elizabeth Graves is dead, but that Scott was working for the government. In their final confrontation on the facility, Scott reveals to Stanley that the the private military corporation is a front for the government to find black market information from unwitting countries, and that Stanley was sent to the facility to be killed during his mission, preserving the secret of the weapon and the private military corporation. Facility guards have surrounded Stanley while Scott was talking. Shaken, Stanley attacks Scott, only to be killed by a guard.

The casting director, both confused by Lena's presence and uncomfortable with the realization that Claudia has a daughter, hesitates. He feels some sense of remorse and pity for the two. He reaches into his pocket and extends to them a business card to contact another director regarding a children's soup commercial for Lena. It is a guaranteed job, and it pays just enough to make it through the month. Lena, like her mother, is thereby swept into another generation of performers. No doubt, she will be exposed to the very same dangers, exasperations, and fears that her mother experienced as an actress.
