- Cowboys Mutt and Jeff match wits with a very uncooperative bull.
- Jeff grows tired of Mutt's impositions and determines to organize a League of Nations which will assist in getting justice for himself. Jeff gets into a fight with the League and this experience gives him nerve enough to tackle Mutt single-handed, which he does successfully.
- Mutt and Jeff own and operate their own firehouse. Mutt believes where there's smoke, there's fire, which gets them into an early scrape. But they are called to an actual fire of a several storied residential building. A frantic woman asks them to save her baby who is located on the top floor of the burning building. Their first problem is how to get up to the top floor, which Jeff inadvertently figures out how to do. But other distractions plus trying to find the baby through the thick smoke may be obstacles in achieving their mission. But something that the woman doesn't tell them may be the biggest hurdle.
- Jeff discovers a little dog on the beach. It is stolen from him by a hot dog vendor who turns it into meat. The various hot dogs thereupon recognize Jeff and follow him around in their new form.
- Mutt needs help putting out a fire, or does he?
- Mutt and Jeff go fishing and Mutt has adventures with some skunks. Later he meets a fair young bathing girl who intrigues his affections until a rival appears.
- Mutt and Jeff are playing ball and get in trouble with a policeman. When captured, things look bad for Jeff until Mutt conceives the idea of telling the officer that the little fellow is crazy, and that he (Mutt) is his keeper. The scheme seems in danger of failing lamentably when the cop insists upon seeing to it that the little fellow is safely placed inside of the asylum. Jeff is apparently doomed to a straight-jacket existence, but it develops that the policeman himself is an escaped lunatic, and the pair collect the reward of one thousand dollars for his recapture.
- Mutt and Jeff invade a native island, where they are entertained by the king and have some laughable adventures.

- Mutt and Jeff break into a wrestling tournament. Mutt suffers severe punishment at the hands of a professional, but Jeff comes to the rescue.
- Mutt and Jeff decide to help round up some German spies. Mutt gets in a trunk, which Jeff takes to the wharf. The wharf rats smell Mutt's lunch and steal it, along with his clothes.
- Mutt and Jeff permit themselves to be hypnotized by a street practitioner, who makes Jeff think he is a dog and Mutt believe he is a cat, but the hypnotist is arrested before undoing his work.
- Jeff lassos a tower in which a supposedly fair maiden is held prisoner, and then after securing the rope to a high building, walks across to her. The girl turns out to be decidedly portly, and Jeff has a prodigious job re-crossing the rope with her. Then Mutt takes the maiden away from him, until both are relieved of her by the keeper of an asylum.
